20 Herro learned how fly

When the Mutants landed, the ground shook and the impact caused the wind to scatter in every direction. Kira used her arms to shield herself from the strong gust rushing towards her. The gust was so strong that it managed to push Kira around a dozen of meters.

When the two Mutants landed, they howled simultaneously to show their prowess and try to intimidate their enemies.

Kira was not able to resist it and dropped the daggers she was holding and used her palm to cover her ears. Herro, on the other hand, ignored the earsplitting howl they made.

For the second time, blood flowed out of Herro's ear because of her drums getting ruptured by the loud howl made by the Mutants. But he didn't even bother to cover his ears because they will heal automatically. After all, he is still absorbing the Mutant.

Their howl lasted for around twenty seconds. After their earsplitting howl ended, Kira slowly uncovered her ears and picked up the daggers on the ground.

She can still hear the ringing in her head and her legs are again wobbling and on the verge of collapsing. But she stood up and jogged in place, shaking off the fear that she was feeling.

The Mutant that Kira's been fighting had already regrouped with the two Mutants. The battle right now is three versus one and Kira is in the losing position.

If the battle before was on stalemate and she could even win if she was given an opportunity, but the battle suddenly escalates into something uncontrollable.

The Mutants, who recently arrived at the Underground Military Base, scrutinized their surroundings and saw Kira, who is shaking in fear. They looked at each other and started to make sounds and it seems like they're laughing.

It was clear that these Mutants are belittling the little girl in front of them. Then the first Mutant who arrived here pointed out the direction of Herro and they saw him slicing their companion.

The eyes suddenly turned bloodshot and one of the two mutants rushed towards Herro. But before it could even reach Herro, Kira blocked its path. The Mutant suddenly stopped after it saw Kira and he was sliding towards her.

Even though Kira was so afraid, she gathered up her courage and rushed the Mutant who was sliding towards her. The Mutants didn't expect this kind of reaction from a human and it started it a little bit.

The Mutant raised its arm and balled its fist and then hurled it at Kira. Kira didn't avoid it and activated her skill. The Mutant was shocked because its fist just passed through its enemy.

Kira needed to conserve her energy and just activated her skill for her upper body only, which is the target of the Mutant's attack. Then she sidestepped towards the right. The Mutant was now in her range of attack and she jumped to face it.

The Mutant didn't have enough time to defend its face and Kira targeted its eyes. Her daggers successfully stabbed both of the Mutant's eyes.

The Mutant howl in pain and used its arm to stop itself from sliding and immediately smacked Kira. Kira was in a state of excitement after successfully blinding the Mutant and was not able to avoid or use her skill in time. Kira flew away for dozens of meters, but she was able to somersault and successfully landing on her feet.

But she was forced to cough a mouthful of blood after the impact. If it isn't for her the increase of her endurance and sturdiness of her body after she absorbed that Mutant, with Herro's help, the injuries that she received by that attack will be more serious.

Even though she suffered from some injuries after the slap that the Mutant gave her, she was still happy that she removed the sight of her enemy. It was as if she had lessened the danger she was facing.

The Mutant, who lost its sight due to Kira's unexpected attack, was wildly smashing the ground around it.

It was afraid that Kira would launch a surprise attack and will end up killing it. The two Mutants had seen everything and then started to move and rushed towards Kira's direction.

** Hi author here... I'll just name these Mutants because I found it hard describing who arrived here first, or who has one eye or two eyes. So the first who descended, the UGMB(Underground Military Base) and the one who lost his right eye will be called M1, the late Mutant who descended and the one who lost its sight will be called as M2 and the last one and the healthiest of them all will be called as M3.**

M1 and M3 reached Kira, who was standing in her place in no time. M3 found a large block of concrete and picked it up and hurled it towards Kira. Kira avoided the rubble by running away.

M1 howled, but it was a lot weaker compared to their loud before. When M2 heard the Howl, it stopped smashing the ground around it and started to rush in Herro's direction.

Kira saw what happened and she started to run towards Herro but M1 and M3 blocked her path. She was about to use her ability to dig underground to reach Herro unhindered and defend him from M2. But before she could even activate her skill: "Don't mind me! I am stronger now! A blind Mutant can kill me easily."

Kira smiled and instead of running towards Herro, she started running in the opposite direction. She is planning to separate the Mutants and bring them far away, so if ever she will die or incapacitated, the Mutants charging at her will take some time to reach where Herro is.

M1 and M3 charged maniacally at Kira, who is running deeper down the Underground Military Base. M2, on the other hand, was slowed down for about fifty percent of its speed because it was being careful of its steps since it lost its sight.

Herro was still like a madman, brandishing his claws and making the Mutant look like ground pork.

Suction force appeared everywhere in his body and made him like a human sponge. He absorbs and absorbs every single bit of the Mutant, from blood to its ground flesh.

Breaking down the body will make it easier for him to absorb and with his increased strength from absorbing the first Mutant, the force of his Absorption skill also increased, making everything faster.

M2 finally arrived at where Herro is and it immediately raised both of its arms to smash Herro. Herro, who's still slashing the dead Mutant with its claws, suddenly stepped away silently.

The M2 smashed his fists down at the dead Mutant where Herro was located a few seconds ago.

When the fists of M2 landed at the top of the dead Mutant, it created a sound of meat that has been smashed with a stone. M2 was elated to know that he hit something that was like flesh and he smashed it down again and again.

'Maybe this Mutant thought that he was smashing me with his fists. Maybe I can use this chance to launch a surprise attack.'

M2 was still engrossed in his own fantasy because he thought that the one he's smashing is not Herro but instead, its dead comrade.

Herro sneaked behind the M2's back without M2 noticing it at all. M2 released some kind of noise, and based on Herro's observation, M2 is laughing due to its success.

Herro smirked and then he jumped towards M2 to launch his attack. But he was still unfamiliar with the strength that he got from absorbing the Mutants' corpse and it resulted in him jumping way past M2's head.

Herro was shocked because he used his full force on that jumped and he forgot that he got an Increase in his stats. He used his full power without knowing that his strength is already inhuman

M2 noticed the sound from its back. He hurriedly used its ears to locate or to check what caused that sound. Then he heard the wind whistled above its head. Then he realized something. He opened its palm and started to check the thing he was smashing. Then he reached to the upper part of the dead Mutant's corpse and his hands touched its head.

He grabbed it and slowly caressed it to feel its structure if it is Herro or its Comrade's head. His body stiffened and he let out an angry roar and started to rush towards Herro who's now in the rubbles lying on his face after flying for a few meters.

Herro got up and then shouted, angrily, "Why did this thing need to happen right in the crucial part of the battle?!"
