Chapter 1.

Fujita Arata.

I ran down the stairs quickly cause it was already past 8. I walked to the kitchen where my dad sat drinking his coffee. He turned towards me and smiled broadly, dropping his cup.

"Hey Ara--" he couldn't continue as I cut him short.

"Morning Dad." I greeted picking up a cup of coffee that was set aside and gulping it down before I grabbed my bag running towards the door.

"Hey Arata, Jiro's not done yet, you guys are going together. " He said as I looked at my little brother who sat on a seat eating his omelette slowly and fixing his eyes on the TV.

"Um, dad. Just drop him off, am running late and Emi's waiting for me at the station. Bye," I said before running out of the house.

"Ugh," I heard my dad sigh before I left.

"Hey Emi," I called running towards her. "Am sorry. I woke up late." I said apologetically as she smiled.

"Let's get going then." She said as I smiled. I loved my girlfriend.

Emi Yoshida, a 2nd year in Fuji High School. We met in 1st year during her school visit to mine. She's the most popular girl among her classmates and she's so cute. She had thigh length grey hair and dark blue eyes, she also had a good figure. Not only that, but she's very bright in her studies and also very athletic.

"Hey, Arata. " Koenji called putting his arm around my shoulder. I was in my seat in class before he arrived.

"Hey Koenji, class is about to start, get the hell out," I said pushing him away from me.

"You aren't so happy to see your best bud." He said laughing as I kept pushing him away.

"Like hell, I'll be. After the prank, you pulled yesterday." I said pushing him away successfully.

" That was a cheap trick and am sure you know it." He said laughing.

"Hey, Fujita and Kikuchi get back to your seats." the homeroom teacher said as we flinched. We got back to our seats immediately and I shot Koenji a deadly stare.

I looked out of the window as the teacher taught, that was the third period of the day, Languages and I was as bored as hell. I looked at my wristwatch and it was about an hour before lunch. I sighed as I rested my head on my desk and fell asleep.

"Hey, get up Fujita." the math teacher called as the girl sitting beside me tapped me. It was the fourth class.

"Am sorry sir." I apologized sitting up.

*I don't think I've slept enough.* I thought looking at my wristwatch. It's been only thirty minutes. I sigh as I draw out my notebook and pencil and begin to draw on the notebook.

Hey, am Fujita Arata, my life's a boring one, well that's what people think of it as. I got myself a girlfriend back in the first year during our sports festival. Her name is Emi, Emi Yoshida from another high school. She's really cute, the most beautiful in her whole year. I live with my dad and annoying little brother. Life's been a lot more peaceful since my mom left. She was having an affair with a Co-worker so she and my dad got divorced. It took Dad just a day to get over it, no, a day's too much am saying a night. Well, what can you expect from an ex-Yakuza boss? Yeah, my dad was one back in the village, but in other to make us live a peaceful life, he dropped and we came to the city to live normal lives. Although it was already late for me, I tried to be a good kid here. Back in the village, I fight every day in school and I end up sending kids to the hospital. My granddad was proud of me. He usually told me stories of how he'd killed thousands of people during his time. My dad wasn't pissed or happy about it, he just went for gang wars and so on but deep down in my heart I wanted him to look at me, to look at me and be proud of me.

The last time I fought in the village I was 15, in middle school. It was after my dad and mom divorced. I was walking to the mountains to cool off my anger but as I was going, some gang members surrounded me. They all laughed and said that I was a weak son and that they would send me to my dad dead. I was already pissed off, so I broke many heads and bones before I left, at least they helped me cool my anger.

I had a tattoo when I was 15, weeks after my mom left. I also had piercings on my two ears. One at the top and the other at the bottom, both for the two ears. My granddad was so proud and said I was getting stronger, but that was around the time my dad decided to leave the business.

"They'll always come for you Jin, always protect the kids." my grandad said in anger before we left.

I couldn't say anything cause my dad's the only person I've ever feared in the world. He always looked mean back in the village. And this is one reason I loved the way we came here cause he's now so nice, calm and collected. He's playful and all. Jiro looks more like him, they both have ash grey hair but mine's an ombre smokey ash grey medium layered hair.

"Hey man, what are you drawing?" Koenji asked nudging me.

"Oh, this," I said looking at the drawing. It was that of a dragon, a fire dragon. The exact type at my back. I just smiled and closed the book while getting up. "It's time for lunch. let's get going. " I said as he nodded.

I'm quite happy with my life now, I've got a best friend and a girlfriend, am average enough in my studies and I've got a happy family, I can't ask for more.
