Four: A New Miraculous in Town

Tripp was absorbed into my necklace.

I began transforming quickly. A pitch black bodysuit replaced my sweater and jeans. A mask moulded itself to my face, making my (e/c) eyes stand out. Wings sprung out from my shoulder blades, giving a soft buzz. Like Tripp, my hands and feet could light up, along with several other splotches. A rope was tied around my waist, and a bow was slung around my shoulder.

My wings twitched, and I took off. I could only hover, but this did give me the effect of me being superior. (Bow before me, mortals)

I flew in the direction Chat went. Ice shards were littered everywhere. What the hell happened? Did Frozone loose his supersuit?

I heard maniacal laughter. Dramatic much?

I buzzed along, and ducked into a shadow. Chat Noir and the famous Ladybug were trapped in a cage of ice. That was immensely useful. So . Note the sarcasm.

The akumatized villain had a very odd fashion sense. Lots of purple. I wasn't going to judge, though. Out loud. I looked for the akuma.

The umbrella. It was the only thing. Unless you could snap her pigtails in half, which seemed highly unlikely.

She turned her back to the cage that held the two miraculous holders. She squealed in an insane sort of manor, and bellowed at the top of her lungs, "I'VE CAUGHT THE HEROES OF PARIS! WHAT ARE YOU ALL GOING TO DO NOW!?"

I took off, flying up high above so I was completely encased in shadow so she wouldn't notice me. She turned right back to Ladybug and Chat Noir.

"There's nowhere for you to go! You can't run from me now!" She sang. Dear gods this woman was legitimately pure insanity.

I let myself drop. I landed Spider-Man style, causing the other three to jump in surprise. I stood up and brushed myself off. "To be completely honest, I didn't really think that I would pull that off." I said with a grin.

"HOW DARE YOU RUIN THIS FOR ME!" She screeched. "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM!? I AM STORMY WEATHER!"

I winced a little at the volume. "A pleasure to meet your acquaintance." I smiled. "I'm Firefly. Did I miss something here?" I glanced back at the two bewildered heroes in the ice cage.

Stormy gave out a cry of rage, and shot an ice shard at me. I dodged, but cried out in pain and surprise when it was able to strike my hand. Within moments, my arm up to my elbow was encased in ice.

"Firefly!" Chat Noir exclaimed.

A chill ran through me, but I forced myself to act on instinct. I smashed my arm to the cage bars, shattering the two. Ladybug and Chat jumped out almost immediately afterwards.

"Are you okay?" Chat asked, reaching out for my frozen hand. I shook him away.

"A little freeze dried. That's all." I gave him a reassuring smile. He frowned a little, but pulled his hand away.

I looked at the two of them. "I need you guys to distract her for me. It'll be easier to aim." I explained shortly.

"Aim?" The two asked in union. They shared a glance with each other.

I slung the bow off of my shoulder. An arrow made of pure light materialized when I touched the string. "Yeah." I said lamely.

The two shared a glance, then nodded. They split up, and began to do their best to distract her. Chat's insults were beyond colourful.

"Hey, Coldielocks!" "Mr. Freeze!" "Sssttttoooorrrrmmmmyyyyy!!"

Ladybug clearly wasn't used to the whole distraction thing, because all she really did was wave her arms around.

I was able to get a good perch on a large ice rock, and drew the string back. I breathed in and out.

My brain beckoned. I was having second thoughts on who the insane one is.

My brain screamed, and I let the string go, catapulting the arrow straight to the akuma. It hit true, and the little monster flew out. Ladybug took this chance and purified it.

I sighed, and slung the bow back over my shoulder. It was now completely dark. Wow. What a long day.
