En Garde

Two red glowing eyes were staring at Ren. There was no sinister stare nor malicious intent as the thing was only observing her. It was a Gardevoir, but there was something wrong with it. Instead of the usual white dress it usually has, it had a black one instead.

Ren felt a familiar aura radiating from the Gardevoir. It felt like the Gardevoir was someone she knew. She felt that someone was there, a familiar presence, but she couldn't tell who it was.

As she continued to look at the two red eyes, Gengar threw a shadow ball at it as an act of protecting Ren from it. The Gardevoir jerked from the shadow ball and it left immediately. Ren panted as she couldn't describe how terrifying the encounter was. It looks like you run into a mill Gardevoir, but the aura it radiates is something else, something too unnatural in the world of monsters.

Gengar jumped towards Ren as he was getting nervous if she was alright from the Gardevoir's presence.

"Yeah, I'm alright." She assured her Pokemon as she slowly stood up from her sitting and looked around where could the Gardevoir go.

She continues to gaze upon the clear skyline of Fuchsia city as she tries to find Gardevoir. The warm wind blew through her body, touching her face with its warmth, and continues to breeze through. She closed her eyes as she tries to figure out what was happening.

'That thing, what was that thing?' She thought to herself.

'It was a Gardevoir but it feels like something was in it, it's something very human, a human soul trapped in a Pokemon's body? But how?'

She continues to brainstorm until she finally finds out the truth. She called Dodrio from its Pokeball, and she didn't hesitate to climb to its body, put on her protective gear, and return Gengar to its Pokeball.

"Dodrio, Hop from one Pagoda to another, We need to find that Gardevoir. Quick!" She told her Pokemon. It nodded and started to leap from one pagoda to another, just like what it did earlier.

'I have to get to that Gardevoir before something else could've happened.' Ren thought.

They continued to jump as they searched for the Gardevoir and at a distance, there was another explosion that occurred. Ren could see the fire that was raging half a kilometer away, and Ren could see the fire that was raging half a kilometer away.

"Dodrio, head to where the explosion occurred." She hesitated. The Pokemon nodded and started hopping to the explosion. As they were heading toward it, a shadowy ball was thrown at them.

"Watch out!" She told her Pokemon as she saw the shadow ball, Dodrio dodged it and continued. She prepared a Pokeball from her belt and settled herself for a possible battle.

"We're getting close." She stated as she felt the same aura earlier, She couldn't tell why she can sense the aura, a part of her felt like there was an unexplainable connection, by blood perhaps or something that is related to the guts.

The smoke clears and the same dazzling eyes were looking at her. Those cold-blooded red glowing eyes, there was no sign of aggression nor act of dread, the Gardevoir was only staring at her. The Pokemon shrugged her off and continued to float away as if it was heading to something.

"HEY!" She shouted as she stops the Gardevoir from leaving. She has no intention of capturing it because she knows who owns this Gardevoir, and she knows who that person is.

"I want a talk, trainer to trainer." Ren told the Gardevoir. The Gardevoir didn't listen and continued to float away.

"OI, you are not running away from me!" She shouted.

"Scizor, Bullet Punch!" She threw the Pokeball from her belt and called out a Pokemon that heavily counters or the anti-Gardevoir Pokemon, Scizor.

The Gardevoir noticed that Ren initiated a battle, it didn't hesitate and slowly raise its hands and a powerful tremor occurred, the smoke from the explosion quickly disappeared and the presence of the sun slowly grow in the battle.

There was a beep from Ren's Pokedex, she took a glance from it and saw that the Sun was up, the ability Drought was activated but how?

'Drought? How the hell does this Gardevoir have the ability drought? Doesn't matter, Bullet Punch is a priority and is super effective against it.' Ren thought as Scizor jumped and started to attack Gardevoir with its red knuckles.

The Gardevoir dodges the bullet punch with elegance and extreme speed. Every punch was a dodge, Scizor tries to hit the Pokemon but it quickly dodges it. Gardevoir quickly formed a fiery ball from its hands and threw it to Scizor. It tries to dodge it but the ball felt like it was heading toward it no matter how it tries to dodge it.

The fiery ball hits Scizor and it was a devastating blow, it knocked it Scizor with one hit and it fell the ground, fainted from the blast that Gardevoir used.

"SCIZOR!!!" Ren screamed in tears as she saw her Pokemon fall from the sky and landed on the gray concrete with a huge impact.

"Dodrio!" She told her Pokemon. Dodrio nodded and leaped from the pagoda to the street where Scizor fell.

The Pokemon landed safely on the ground, Ren jumped from Dodrio and quickly went to Scizor's aid. Scizor was her second favorite Pokemon, who was been with her throughout her entire journey alongside Gengar.

"Scizor, are you okay?" She asked as there were small tears slowly dropping from her eyes. She was very close to Scizor and anything that happens to it costs a heavy toll on her emotions.

The Pokemon nodded but the amount of pain it felt from its body was too much, Ren decided to return to its Pokeball so that the pain from the burn slowly fade away.

Gengar didn't hesitate and threw Shadow Balls to Gardevoir, who was looking at them the entire time. Gardevoir dodges all of it as it was nothing to it. It shrugged off and leaves from the scenery but she was halted by a huge silver snake, a Steelix.

"Steelix, Iron tail!" Shouted by a familiar voice. A long iron tail was about to slam Gardevoir but like earlier, it dodged it.

Ren looked around to see where the voice came from, she looked above her and saw a Fearow and an Aerodactyle, alongside a Steelix and an Araidos attached to it, having a face-off against the Gardevoir.

"Did it use hidden power or weather ball?" Ren quickly thinks about what the Gardevoir did to Scizor, she knows how odd it was since Bullet Punch was a priority move and wouldn't miss, but the thing that Gardevoir did was something out of the ordinary.

"Ariados, use String shot!", "Steelix, Iron tail once more!" Two voices shouted above the sky.

The Ariados oozed white liquids onto Gardevoir in an attempt to slow it down, but it passed through its clear body, barely touching it as it phases through and webbed through a nearby wall.Steelix on the other hand shook its tail one more time as it tries to hit Gardevoir but due to how fast Gardevoir was.

Ren headed to Dodrio, and said: "Dodrio, leap to the top, I need to talk to them."

The Pokemon nodded and jumped from the floor and landed on the nearby roof, a roof that is near enough to talk to the two people that are on Fearow and Aerodactyle.

"It used clear body?" A young man confusingly said it was Brock, the Pewter City Specialist. Alongside him was Janine

"Impossible, Clear body is an ability, right? And Gardevoirs naturally only have Trace and Synchronize." Janine said as she was disoriented from what was going on.

"There is another ability, Telepathy. It's a rare one but this Pokemon is very strange." Brock said.

'A Gardevoir with Clear Body? That wasn't the only time I encountered a Pokemon with a different ability… Yoake's Nidoking, that thing has Own Tempo.' Brock remembered the Nidoking that Yoake has, it was getting frustrated as to how these Pokemon got abilities that are naturally not known to them.

"Ren. Good timing, can you help us? We're currently finding Yoake and this thing came out of nowhere." Brock realized that the trainer was nearby.

Ren didn't stutter a word and pointed her finger to the Gardevoir. Brock raise his eyebrows as he was confused about what the trainer meant.

"Uhhh why are you pointing your finger to that Gardevoir?" Brock asked. At first, he couldn't understand what Ren meant but as soon as things are getting clear, he was shocked.

"Yoake is in that thing? How can you tell?" Brock uttered as he was too bewildered by Ren.

"Just trust me, we either have to keep an eye on it or follow it. This thing is too powerful for us." Ren said. The two specialists aren't satisfied with Ren's answer but they decided to go along with it.

After their small chat, they noticed that the Gardevoir was nowhere to be seen, perhaps it Ran Away…

"Where did it go?" Janine said.

"I think I know." Brock said after brainstorming for a bit.

A loud ring burst through the empty air, it was an incoming call, from Janine. She took out her phone from her pocket, the Fuchsia City Gym Guide was calling her.

"Excuse me for a moment." She said as she answers the call.

"Yes?" Janine asked the caller.

"Miss Janine, we got some news. There's this boy and a Gardevoir lying down in front of the gym. Should we bring it inside?" The gym guide stated. Janine realized who was the boy and Gardevoir that the guide referring to.

"Yes, make sure they're in great shape. I'll be there in a jiffy." She said as she ended the call and put her phone back in her pocket and looked at the two.

"He's there." Janine stated as she takes out a Pokeball and withdrew her Ariados, Brock did the same to his Steelix.

"We better find an explanation on what the hell was that."
