Was it a dream or an illusion?

"It's impossible for him to be here, he shouldn't be here"

Yasaka's thoughts tried to find a suitable question for the situation.

He knew that he was responsible for killing all of his soldiers and subordinates, for destroying his home, for endangering innocent people, he knew, and yet he refused to believe it.

The feeling of hatred, contempt, and the intention of revenge for his people, for the blood that was spilled in front of her never appeared.

"I'm happy to see you despite what you do"

Happiness crushed the feelings that he should feel towards an enemy.

His natural instincts reacted to him, power and power, where you look at him, his aura only transmitted that, power.

His self-preservation instinct warned her that he, too, was dangerous.

Walking calmly he approached them, the burning temple did not matter to anyone.

The closer he got, the more his body warned him that he was in danger.

He should be running, raising his guard, preparing to fight, and yet his smile prevented her from doing so.

A smile as she remembered, that smile that brightened his day, a warm smile, she gave him that smile again that he thought he had lost.

Tears flowed more and more, she missed that feeling that she gave her.

A warm look that appeared on her every time she saw her.

She now she was not her.

She jumped next to her daughter, when in an instant she appeared where they were and she hit the spot causing the ground to split.

Her body reacted just in time, but her mind was barely processing what had happened.

Circles of magic and senjutsu immediately appeared to respond to the incoming attack, which had the power to vaporize a village in seconds.

"Runs!"

Yasaka yelled as she noticed that several magic circles of different magics appeared in the sky, all with a single target.

The ground trembled as the yokai leader's energy was expelled, raw power of senjutsu and touki combining around her body to overcome the attack.

Explosions filled the sky as her powers collided.

"ugh"

The brown-haired man spat blood as he received a fist in her stomach as he tried to surprise her from one side, creating a line of destruction with her body as it was thrown from her.

"what strength"

Her body had reacted instinctively to sensing the incoming danger.

Despite her delicate appearance, she was incredibly strong, and that was only increased by empowering herself with senjutsu and touki, giving her explosive strength.

So many years of experience had made her make the most of her physical capacity, if it wasn't for the fact that she reacted a moment before and she parried her blow, possibly she would have pierced Issei.

What would have ended everything.

Blue colored rings headed for hers, she began to dodge to avoid getting caught, as the rings weren't meant to cause damage, they were chains to hold him back.

Magic circles appeared around her and she shot beams that stopped her progress.

Draconian power was ejected from her causing the ground to crack, two red colored dragon wings with black hints shot out from her back to rise up into the sky.

He rose to touch the top of the barrier, taking as much momentum as possible, plummeting straight into it surrounded by dragon energy in each hand.

The senjutsu energy created hundreds of seals and magic circles accompanied them, the touki energy shimmered throughout her body and a thick cloud of blue smoke covered the entire place in a second.

The thick cloud of smoke converged and spun around her creating an inverted whirlwind, a huge drill of senjutsu and magic impacted against Issei's body.

The whirlwind expanded, creating the shape of a hurricane that toppled buildings, dislodged trees and huge chunks of stone.

All in less than five seconds.

"Ahhhhh, what's happening, everything is shaking… no, I have to find him quickly… for mom… for Issei… to help him"

Tears fell down her cheeks as she searched desperately among the debris.

Memories of when he met him flashed through his mind, how in that short time he had gained her trust, his admiration, and then his love.

His regret was so great that he wanted to go back in time and kill that Kota bastard with his own hands, that he will beg for every second of his life until he himself wished for death.

"*crying* where is he, *crying* I found him!"

After moving a piece of rubble, she found what she was looking for, however she saw how pure energy came out of the ground, the air began to blow with more force, in just seconds it became so strong that it eventually knocked her down, both the air and the energy converge at a single point.

A small statue made of jade is what she was looking for, according to her mother, if she was ever in danger she could use it.

She tried to use it, but nothing happened.

She hit him, pouring magic, senjutsu, but nothing worked.

"It works!...Please...it works"

Tears of helplessness fell like a waterfall, the jade statue tearing up and breaking.

An orb of light as small as a golf ball shot up into the sky.

It collided with the barrier and stopped for a second before going through it leaving a small hole.

"Ahhh!, what… mom!"

The energy leaked out, even if it was only a small hole, if which only let a small amount of energy through, the density of that energy was enough to attract attention.

And only few beings captured the energy.

He tore through the drill and spun in midair to kick out at her.

Yasaka placed a shield made up of hundreds of signs.

It broke.

The blow broke the shield on contact, Yasaka placed both hands and their tails to receive the blow.

*break*

The ground trembled as a huge web-like crack appeared, kicking up debris.

Using her tails he pushed with all her might to push him away.

"He broke my arms"

Yasaka resisted the blow but the force behind him was enough to break her touki and consequently her arms.

Senjutsu began to surge around her, even the air began to swirl around her.

Her arms were healed almost instantly.

The ground cracked as pure energy burst forth in the form of flames, the air began to create a whirlwind around her, growing stronger.

Opening her eyes that she kept closed for a moment, energy flowed out filling the place with senjutsu.

And the power of it increased.

"Did it get stronger?"

Issei wondered in surprise at the sudden increase in power.

In an instant hundreds of circles appeared to shoot concentrated senjutsu and she began to dodge.

While she wouldn't kill him, that doesn't mean she won't leave him on edge.

She was playing cat and mouse for about five minutes, where she never stopped shooting, on the contrary, it seemed that they were getting more and more.

"Isn't he running out of energy? How much senjutsu does he have?..."

He didn't have that much time, and she seemed to be getting stronger.

"Where do you get your energy from?"

She was looking for an answer.

The draconic aura shot out again and she launched a kick to the ground, destroying the area.

Yasaka's eyes widened and she saw how the senjutsu energy that came out of the ground was eliminated in that area, moments later she came out again but much weaker than before.

They both knew that things were even again.

For an instant.

She knew that she had to end this, make the most of it before he finished contaminating the energy with her magical power, and she had to do it now, and that means giving everything, showing why she was the Yokai leader.

The remaining buildings trembled, light illuminated the entire area before the senjutsu energy surged to its fullest, a tail appeared and wriggled through the air completely clearing the debris from tens of meters away.

A huge nine-tailed fox appeared waggling her nine tails, a footstep made the ground tremble, and her gaze went to the sky where her current enemy and lover was floating with her two wings outstretched.
