What's with the stupidly long name of the soul cultivation method?"

"Fair enough. Alright then, guess I'll use the three heaven grade modifiers then."

Taking them out of his newly gained inventory, they were three small stones with a strange marking on their surface. They also seemed to project their usage method to him some how. Taking out the soul cultivation method, it was jade stone with the image of a purple three legged crow. Alex then placed the modifier on top of the scripture, and the stone began to melt and fuse with it. Once it was done he picked up the upgraded scripture and placed it on his forehead.

After small flicker of light the stone was gone, and Alex had the full knowlage of how to use the scripture. 'Huh, it's not terrible. Could use a touch up here and there but nothing to bad.' Alex quickly got to building a third bridge, forming a triangle connecting his forehead and dantian. That way all three cultivation methods where connected and power eachother.

'It's about to be dawn so I might as well test it out.' Walking to his rooms balcony and sitting down Alex waited for the first rays of sun to reach him. And once they did he took in a deep breath, focusing on pulling the dawns light along with the surounding qi, fusing them into one. As his did this a thin purple mist began to form around him, steadily getting thicker. Once the dawn ended and the sun was fully over the horizon he stoped.

Looking at the cloud of purple qi around him Alex was suprised, normally this technique should only pull in a tiny amount, needing days to weeks to form a mist, and months to think of forming a cloud. But In just one sun rise he had formed a could so thick it wasen't far off becoming a liquid. 'Guess that's the bonus of having a heaven grade cultivation method. Now, step two.'

Once again taking in a deep breath he began to breath in the purple cloud. The thick purple sun qi being brought up from his lungs into his mind, forming the foundation of his mind palace. Several purple jade tiles forming in the middle of a void, held together by a mix of purple sun qi and soul essance. Soul cultivation was a bit weird, it didn't have set stages like body or spirit cultivation. If he wanted Alex could have used that purple sun qi to start the 'last' stage of soul cultivation.

But he obviously didn't do that,while soul cultivation didn't have a set progression it did have a recommended path. Just like how building a skyscraper on dirt with twigs as a frame was the prefect way to waste time and resources. Turning your soul into a devine entity with no preparation was a sure-fire way to ruin your soul. sure, you could do it. but it would take an obscene amount of time, but the finished product would be a complete mess.

The 'first' step of soul cultivation was to form a mind palace, this was where everything would be build up from. After building a acceptable mind palace, you would form an alter in the middle of the palace, this wouldn't come into play for a while. Once the alter was done you would build a throne on top of the alter. After the throne was done you would finnaly get to the point where you would cultivate the soul. A normal person's soul was ethereal, less then air. So a cultivator would have to collect their soul, which was spread around the void surrounding their palace.

You could colect your soul in any way you wanted, so long as it was all in one place anything was on the table. After your soul was fully collected you would place it on the throne, and begin to nurture it with your chosen technique, progressing it form it's ethereal that to a mist, then a cloud, then a liquid, then a solid, and further if you felt like it. The stages after that wern't important for now.

Taking the other two stones he placed one over his chest and the other over where his dantian would be. The stones began to melt and fuse into him. He almost immediately felt the difrence, his marrow began to increase in quality hundreds of times faster, and his blood followed pace.

'At this pace I should be able to advance to bone refining in about a week. And once that happens I can advance to the qi absorbing stage. Now, onto that spear.'

Taking it out of the inventory Alex was greated by a 2.5 meater long, completely metal spear. Its shaft was a dull silver with intricate ingravings of clouds and fire leading up the the head which was completely red, as if it had just left the furnace. Holding it Alex could feel a very small tug on his mind, as if it was trying to talk to him. But it was to weak to speak so it just sent vague ideas of metals and gems with the feeling of growing.

'You want to get stronger? I should be able to do that. But for now it's upgrade time.'

Sitting back down he began to upgrade his soul cultivation method, first and foremost, allowing him to use it during the day and night alongside dawn and dusk.
