As they entered the shelter, Charlotte was the first to settle in, taking the far right side. With no other option, Emma reluctantly took the center, leaving Jeff on the left.
Once they lay down, Jeff immediately realized he had been right—the shelter was far too small for three people. Lying side by side and all facing upward, the space felt even more cramped than he had anticipated.
