Chapter 20

As he observed the boars scavenging for food, he decided it was time to act. "Emma, you'd better hide and wait for me here," Jeff instructed, not glancing back.

Hearing his words and observing the wild animals, she couldn't comprehend how he could confront these creatures.

Since it is very different when fighting a person, she just nods her head as she stood in her spot. Jeff gripped his trusty axe, leaping and dashing toward the target.

However, before he could approach, the boar noticed him and charged with red eyes, sensing the impending threat.

Prepared he dashed sideways, as it stopped in his tracks when it did not hit its preferred target and glared at him so fiercely.

Jeff was very cautious, what he did was very stupid, but he decided he needed to at least take one down. As expected, after hearing the commotion its buddies saw him, sensing great threat.

They snorted heavily, their eyes glinting menacingly as they marched forward. Jeff, who saw this, cursed inwardly. He can't just fight it bare fist, right, look at those tough skins?

So, the best course of action is to run and find an opportunity, "Emma, stay right there. I'll be back sooner or later!" he shouted, running as he was being chased by these boars.

Seeing his figure disappear, the same as the other boars, Emma, who was left alone, was very afraid. But she steeled herself and stood still in her spot, waiting for Jeff to come back.

Meanwhile for him, he was running looking back at the raging boars. He picked up a rock and flung it, the rock came whistling in the air as it hit the boar in the face.

The impact was heavy as the boar in the lead shook its head and looked at him with rage, his nostrils flared as their speed increases.

"Shit, now I've angered it more" He muttered seeing this, he then decided to stop and tried to fight it for a while to wear off their energy.

If he kept running and running, he would achieve nothing. So, he then stood his ground. The boars, seeing this opportunity, smiled gleefully with their menacing eyes.

As the leader of the boar wanted to pierce its tusks towards him, he sidestepped and with a slash, the axe came down with great force.

The boar was hit in the shoulder, but it only grazed it. Still, the damage was great, since it was bleeding. The boar growled in pain, as it redirected its way towards him, filled with bloodlust.

Jeff jumped back, making the boar pass below him. Suddenly, the other two boars charged at him. He dodged one, while he countered the other with a swing.

But he was pushed back, and the blade of the axe hit its tusks. The force of the impact reverberated throughout his body.

This caused some small sweats in his forehead, the leading boar lunged again, with its tusks glinting in the dim forest light.

Jeff sidestepped at the last second, swinging his axe down sharply to glance off the boar's flank, just enough to redirect its momentum.

The boar stumbled, and he used the opportunity to back away, forcing it to reposition itself.

Another boar came at him again from the left side, and he spun to meet it, raising his axe defensively.

The boar lunged, and he swung his axe in a calculated strike to the beast's shoulder, aiming to bruise rather than kill.

The boar stumbled back, its snort a mixture of pain and frustration, and it fell behind the others, shaking its head to regain focus.

Now facing three boars, Jeff shifted his weight, circling them and staying light on his feet, drawing them into his rhythm.

Another charged, and he dodged, swinging his axe in a swift arc to its hindquarters, aiming just to slow down its movement.

Jeff jumped back, making the boar pass below him. Suddenly, the other two boars charged at him. He dodged one, while he countered the other with a swing.

But he was pushed back, and the blade of the axe hit its tusks. The force of the impact reverberated throughout his body.

He could see their pace beginning to slow, their breaths heavy, their eyes wary now as they regrouped.

Jeff, even though he was tired, knew he was winning the battle of endurance, even if they still outnumbered him

With every feint, dodge, and well-placed strike, he was chipping away at their strength, forcing them to expend their energy as he kept his own reserves in check.

The lead boar finally could not handle it anymore, eyeing him with exhausted rage, and Jeff readied himself for the next move, knowing he had managed to gain a crucial advantage in the fight.

But now, the animal in front of him became wilder. It had become berserk, rushing towards him without thinking.

Jeff saw this and decided to fall back and wait for this wild animal to tire out.

As they continued their rendezvous, for minutes Jeff saw a tree and climbed up. Looking down he was surprised that there was only one remaining.

Its buddies actually left him alone, and it seems to be the leader of the pack of boars. Jeff could not help but pursed his lips in amusement.

The boar who did not care even if he was left behind was very angry towards him, it hit the tree bark with force. Shaking the whole tree, Jeff who was up the tree felt this tremor of course.

"Haha, frustrated are you?" he exclaimed, seeing that the boar really wanted revenge, no matter what the cost.

Jeff then jumped down, and the boar, seeing this, smiled maliciously as it also jumped to intercept him. With a smile, Jeff used the momentum to put his foot on the bark of the tree to backflip.

Evading its attack, he used the axe to swing it heavily, hitting its upper head. The axe was deeply embedded into it as he let go of it when he landed down.

Looking back, he could see that the boar was still standing up, with blood pouring from its face.

"This creature really does not know how to give up" Jeff exclaimed in astonishment.

The boar then rushed towards him with its last bit of strength and will, but he just dodged sideways and kicked it in the side, making it roll.

This time, the boar did not stand up and was breathing heavily on the ground. It slowly closed its eyes and died as it stopped moving.

Hearing the notification sound, he knew that he finally won this battle. He wiped the sweat from his face as he decided to carry it on his shoulder. It was heavy, but he could handle it.

As he traced his way back, it took him a bit of time since he had run far from where he was in the first place. When he was back, he saw that Emma was walking in circles with a pale face.

She was biting her fingernails, looking down, as she was repeating this process.

"What is she doing?" he said inwardly, seeing this her actions.

He then dropped the boar to the ground, making a loud sound. Emma, hearing the sudden rumble, was scared stiff as she looked at the source.

She then saw that it was Jeff, which made her sigh in relief. She then ran towards him and hugged him.

"Bohoo," she said, with tears dripping from her face.

"I thought you left me in this wilderness. I was really scared, greatly scared" She sobbed as tears of relieved wash over her; she had been waiting for about an hour now.

She really though that the young man had left her alone or he was injured or not he must have been eaten by those boars.

Hearing her cries Jeff could not help but be guilty, that he had not done the job sooner or later. Since he was a bit taller than her, her face was in her chest dripping his clothes wet.

"Um, I think that's enough," he said, with a red face. He felt her bosoms hitting his chest, giving him a comfortable sensation.

He could clearly feel their softness, which made him want to break free sooner. After all, a man and a woman need to have some space.

Hearing his words and sensing his movements to let go, she tightened her hug and shook her head.

"No!" she exclaimed, looking at him, pouting her mouth cutely.

"What the heck!" Jeff cursed inwardly. She was looking at him like a child, even though she was not.

When she increased her strength, Jeff felt his body heat up. Her two marshmallows were about to explode, and he even felt something pointy pricking the fabric of his clothes. This made him stand there blankly.
