~Maria POV~

"Ok so please explain what happened?"

I leave the kid for the next few hours after arguing with him and the next thing to happen next was the hotel was attacked by a semblance that loses its senses as quickly as I saw it as I was affected as well.

I did not take kindly to suddenly being attacked like that as the whole black smoke appeared out of nowhere.

And to make matters worse whenever a Huntsman or Huntresses came into contact with it soon lost their senses in the process except for the feeling sensation of their feet we were totally in the dark.

I felt like I was going to lose it.

Even using my Silver Eyes as I thought I have a better chance and thank Oum that it did.

Of course, I was at the lower levels of the hotel room when it happened but the rest weren't so lucky…

It was chaos in the instant they lost their senses as some stood their ground but the rest used their semblances whole wilily everything to kingdom Kong.

Hell, even my Semblance managed to forewarn me of the danger as everyone was releasing their Semblances at once but sooner or later for a couple of seconds they all returned to their senses.

Oh boy, they were pissed.

I would be too as well if for the fact they tried to go after the target and next to another one of those blasted smoke got off again getting the crowd as they were going crazy as I saw my student being affected.

Next, I came to follow after the smoke but after a few hours though I received a text from my student as he managed to get us a private hotel instead of the fancy one Pietro had paid for but given today's facts it was all for naught.

When I finally arrived at the location of where my student was along with the same girl he talked to as he began to nervously talk to me, "Well… Maria, how was the chase going on after the black smoke?"

Narrowing my eyes I can tell my student must have had a hand in this incident.

Titling myself to the corners of the room with my back to the wall I began to question him with a zero-tolerance, "Boy… what exactly did you do and how did that stunt relate to you somehow? Explain."

*Gulp*

He seems to be involved with this as he began to explain to me what really happened the more I hear his reasoning the more I actually have to be VERY careful with Albus.

Distracting the people and Hunters was one thing but going off to kill the mother and sisters…

Glaring harshly as his head slumps down was when the girl next to him began to explain as he pleaded his case, "Wait! He did this for me please let me explain before you do anything!"

Seeing her eyes pleading as the kid Albus slumps down in fear as I continue to glare at his actions as I spoke harshly, "Explain. Explain from the top and leave nothing behind…"

Like that the two began to explain with this Cinder girl her back story and how Albus Ultimate Eye explains to him the history of a person's past.

This makes me narrow more than ever as…

This is a lot to take in and learning of this makes me wonder how he knew who I was at the time I didn't think clearly but…

And if that eye of his did this then…

It explains everything about why he helped me as he saw me as a gain to help him but his stories aren't false as well.

I asked for some favors for some background info on Albus and he did so knowing what I would find…

Truly this kid can think ahead but… if he uses those gifts of his for murder like this…

My inner Huntresses is telling me to capture him.

That's what my belief and justice say at least.

But he was also someone who helped me regain my youth and eyes again.

Shaking my head at this as I began to leave out as I see the hurt expression on his face as I told him, "Sorry but… I need to rethink some matters with you, Albus. I can be lenient of few things… Murdering people though... Isn't one of them… I just need time to think about what to do with you. Just stay here…"

Slamming the door as I saw the hurtful and accepted expression on his face made me rethink a few things with the kid.

Walking away for a bit I need to rethink some things about what to do with the kid

Shaking my head it's my duty as a Huntress to capture people like him from growing up to be REAL threats to society and I saw his talent.

He has what it takes to be something or someone really great.

He like REALLY great with his techniques and skills he has the makings of great changes.

But…

If he fell that easily it makes me wonder what he really does in the future.

He didn't fully explain how he was able to pull off the smoke to make someone lose their senses like I said again could be a skill or technique that ANYBODY could learn.

If I allow such a person like him to continue growing would it be really wise to raise such a dangerous person like him around to roam free?

But at the same time, he is just a fricking kid for Oum's sake and to learn to plan this as I hate to admit a stupid idea working murdered three people to death with no hesitation all to save that one girl?

Kid, there are plenty of ways to save someone but this…

There are laws like this for a reason as in fact there is no way to solely go for this act alone.

We aren't animals that solely act because we simply don't like something and go there oh I don't like it this way I'm a change that by murdering the mother and daughter to death.

We have to be better people as taking a life is something that will happen but never assume to choose this as the only option because we are better people, not monsters.

Grimacing at the fact I also have to remind myself that the kid didn't have anyone to talk to and the fact his actively being hunted with no help makes me wonder what really going through his head.

Also that Cinder girl as well because from the looks of things and her reactions she would've been the one to kill her family as well if I remember the words and the scar on her neck as I couldn't help but imagine what life she would have.

And to make matters worse though the rest that got afflicted by the sudden smoke likely suspected that my student maybe the cause.

This is going to be your consequence for messing with a few people that have high connections as they will suspect you for it.

What I need is to talk to the kid because…

Sometimes I need to make the most difficult choice at times because I can't let the kid after this because whiter I owe him or not makes no difference.

Because at the end of the day I'm a Huntress and it's my duty to capture people like him down but at the same time I couldn't help but I wonder if he was allowed to grow under someone with good ideals would it be any different?

I mean I was taught many things that my father has done to be good and protect the weak and that bunch of rules along with it.

Glancing around the area and the damages the kid doesn't really realize because of his stunt and that idea of his has really harmed people some with actual damages to broken bones that demand where the culprit was.

Looking back at the hotel room the kid bought and looking at my weapon in my hands…

Really, I am sorry for what I'm about to do kid.

He needs to pay for his crimes.

If you didn't do what you did even to protect the girl there are better ways to go about this.

Slowly opening the door to his room I immediately saw the kid and the girl as I sigh out my breath to him as he expressed a fearful look, "Sorry kid but… actions have consequences, and you need to pay them. I'll look to see if Pietro can give you lower sentence time but… you need to be brought in."

When I said those words, he grew a fearful expression as he looked at me.

Sorry kid but there are some things that need to be this way.

What I hear next was something I didn't expect as he began to regain his composure but also a pained expression as he replied, "I see… sorry Maria but… I can't be locked away not with Salem after me. I can't no. I will never let that happen. I won't let her capture me…"

That was when six balls of light soon circled around the kid Cinder looked surprised as she took a side step as he spoke to me, "Sorry Maria but I will leave. I apologize for being a bad student and running away. Maria…"

Soon a mask now donned on the kid as the six balls of light circled around him as he told me in a serious tone of voice I didn't expect the kid to have, "Sorry. But I can't let myself get captured or else it's game over for me if Salem captures me. But for what's worth I thank you for teaching me. Shamak."

Like that, I saw darkness soon after as the black puff of smoke soon emitted into the room losing my senses!

Using my Silver Eyes I began to dispel the darkness as I regained my composure as I saw my student and Cinder gone pulling off a mystery act.

Looking around I see he was long gone by now and he can be quite fast when he wants to from the sparring match.

Closing my weapons I began to slowly leave the area as for my final thanks to him I won't give him away.

But that doesn't mean I won't actively start searching for him right away oh no.

I won't let this kid get away as he will answer for his crimes but that won't be for today.
