Sun Dragon Arc - Chapter 35: Troubles On The Road

"How did you know about my existence?"

The parasite asked, I was holding my cautiousness because I don't know how strong this individual is and I can't possibly hurt an innocent girl.

"I saw your status in this girl. And it said parasite, ofcourse I would inquire you after seeing that Mind Control skill."

Just to be extra careful or to bluff my way out, I raised my sword threateningly at him. Animals also seem to do this when in a situation where they can survive by intimidation, so I figured I could apply that in this situation.

"Lay down your sword. As I said, I don't have any ill intentions. I just want to protect this girl in order to protect myself.

For a few seconds, a few sides of myself seemed to clash about possibilities between cautiousness and valuable prospects.

If I kill him now, how would that benefit me? In the first place, why should I just kill someone because they're a parasite? His reason seems to be plausible too. Parasites work like animals, therefore they have a strong sense to survive. And in the first place, how would I kill a parasite when it's inside a person!? Do I have to use [Write Destiny] for that!?

Fine. I won't mess with him... For now.

"So basically, you're selfishly protecting her to protect your own, right? Then that makes sense. But are you going to control her forever?"

"If you can see my status, that means you know I can't control her forever."

"Right, it does consume your mana afterall."

An awkward silence befell the two of us who didn't know what to do next. It doesn't seem like either of us wants to fight.

"Ergh..."

But then, she suddenly held her head and fell on her knees to the floor. It looks as if she's having a headache.

"Don't tell her... About what you've known..."

That was what the parasite last said, I can roughly guess the situation here. And that's the original owner of the body is back in control. Theorizing this, I asked.

"Are you awake?"

I held her shoulders to support her, it looks like she's losing her balance so I aided right away before she falls.

But moments later, she faced the ground and started throwing up like a sick person. Since I didn't like this sort of thing, I looked away until she finished.

"Haa..."

She finally begins to talk.

I waited.

But what's wrong with her? Wait, hold on.

I noticed something peculiar so I looked intently at her mouth and noticed something absurd. She didn't have a tongue at all, and there's a deep cut in her cheeks that makes it look like slits!

Then how was I able to communicate with the parasite earlier!?

Telepathy? But I could have sworn he was speaking through her mouth earlier.

"Huh?"

While I was busy pondering, she suddenly began to speak. This time something really was different, the cut in her cheeks was gone and she had a tongue!? Was my eyes playing tricks on me earlier?!

Then she lifted her head to look at me. I really have to admit, she's too cute. I want her as my wif— I mean as my little sister. That silvery hair though, I really want to caress it.

"Is something wrong?"

I asked, she was looking at me but she wasn't speaking. She might be frozen in place out of shyness so I tried to help. Though I don't really know if she's the shy type.

"N-No, I'm fine!"

Her voice clearly sounded anxious. She might really be the shy type to strangers like me.

"But who are you?"

She threw at me a question about my name again. Did she not hear it while I was talking with the parasite? Or was she unconscious until just now?

Some sweat was forming on her cheek in anticipation for my answer so I gave in right away. It doesn't seem like she's going to snitch me out or something anyway since I'm her savior.

"Seven Clavery, I'm from the Star Continent. Can I ask who you are young lady?"

Although I already knew her name, I like acting like I don't know something when I already know. It's a sick way of enjoyment, you could say.

"You're... A foreigner? I'm Asura. Just Asura."

"Asura, hm."

I looked at her straight in the eye as if looking for the parasite there, but it might be located somewhere deeper inside her since I saw no clue. I'm more absorbed in looking at her face anyway, so I don't mind that thing existing as long as it doesn't hurt this cute little girl. But it's a parasite! Is not hurting her even possible!?

"Are you feeling hungry, Asura?"

"Only a little."

I smiled at her with pure intentions and tossed an apple at her. It's supposed to be One's but I have dozens of those so I guess One won't mind it. Contrary to that though, I was feeling One's glares from somewhere.

She looked like she was hesitating to eat it, but she eventually munched on it and chewed them violently in her mouth, she was eating so greedily that her cheeks were puffing out like a hamster.

After she finished, I tossed her another apple and she consumed it the same gluttonous way. This continued for about four more times before she finally looked like she's sick of it. Perhaps she was hungry so she was acting that way.

"You're a cute little glutton."

I praised her while caressing her beautiful hair that I really wanted to touch atleast once in my life. Thank the heavens she didn't mind it.

But now I can't shake off the feeling that she's like a tamed monster letting me touch her now that I nicely fed her.

Afterwards when she finished eating, I asked her questions. Perhaps you can already guess what my questions are? It's simply why she's here and what happened to her.

It turns out she's from a race called Ashurans who belongs to a tribe and worships the God Of War Ashura. Come to think of it, I've heard of that name somewhere in our lectures at the academy.

Her fellows were all captured by slave traders for unknown purposes and she's currently searching for them. It doesn't seem like she knows that I know about the parasite in her body, since it's fun I won't tell her.

"Wakey wakey. Asura, let's go.

It was already the time of dawn and sunlight began to poke from the apertures of the numerous trees' leaves that surrounds our campsite.

I started the day by nudging Asura awake who seemed like she was in a deep sleep.

"You're not planning to stay here forever are you? Then follow me. I know the way out of this place."

My mission for today is to escort her to a city. Since I didn't know where the nearest one is, let alone even know where the hell in the continent I was, so I had to use [Write Destiny] to locate it.

"Seven-san, do you know how to get out of this forest?"

"Somehow, yes. There's a road. Even if there were other directions I'd still know."

I smiled confidently to reassure her, but somehow I can't shake off the feeling that trouble is approaching.

Tataktatak

The sounds of wheels from a horse drawn carriage clanked and there was continuous thuds echoing from the unpaved road we were walking on but I ignored it since it may just be passersby.

"Hey you, the beautiful lady over there!"

A voice called out to me, and to my frustrations, it was a man's! I hate being called beautiful by guys!

I hurriedly looked where it was, obviously I was annoyed but I tried to hide it.

There were several armored mercenaries surrounding the wagon, perhaps they're escorts. But I didn't care about things like that, instead, I looked for where the voice came from.

There was a tiny head poking out from one of the compartment windows. And for sure it wasn't even a kid but a guy looking older than my dad.

Since I'm a courteous woman, I pointed at myself to ask if I'm the one being asked for. I swear if he's asking for Asura, I won't hesitate cutting his pathetic rod to a million pathetic pieces.

"Yes you, join me for a drink and let's go to my mansion. I'm one of Haravan City's land owners and I'm the most handsome one you'd ever find! You're pretty enough to be my concubine, so come have a glass with me!"

This bastard doesn't even look handsome so how dare he call himself that so highly. If this lizard-looking bastard is handsome then is the Guild Master some kind of god of handsomeness!?

He looked like a revolting pervert winking and hitting on a girl like me who's obviously out of his league. I bet he can't even survive fighting a single magic sword!

"Ugh, disgusting iconic villains."

Although I'm feeling sick because of this person, I felt insanely satisfied. Finally! A villain! I can't wait to bully them!

Seems like I let out my thoughts too lose that everyone heard it though.

"Are you a clown?"

"Excuse me?"

"You seriously look like a clown. You think you're worthy of me? A guy like you? Small, skinny like a stick and looks like a goblin? Haha, even a dazzling prince can't charm yet a trash like you who looks like shit thinks he can hit on me?"

While listening to this, it felt like every word I said dug deeply and painfully in his ears as he winced every time.

"Y-You..."

I was grinning from ear to ear, I couldn't help but be very satisfied by his angry reaction.

"What are you idiots doing!? I don't pay you to watch me get slandered! Capture her and tie her up!"

It's a pity their number is not enough to apprehend me. I wish they're strong enough to put up a fight.

The mercenary escorts he was with, dismounted their horses and unsheathed their blades. Then they surrounded us with ease, I even dragged Asura into this. Well I don't mind, I don't plan on losing anyway. But wouldn't it be fun if I got captured? I get to go to his mansion and rip everything he has to pieces!

"Take that girl she's with too. Her looks are top notch, it would certainly fetch a high price at the black market."

Okay, I don't plan on losing anymore.

"Magic Swords."

I chanted while releasing the third stage of mana usage, expelling mana from my body to the environment, the magic power resonated with the formulae in my visual mind and encircled the mercenaries with various magic swords that numbered thrice their quantity. Just like how they tried to outnumber me, I outnumbered them.

As the cyan magic circle on my wrists continuously fluctuated to signify the continuous use of my mana, the swords I summoned pointed their edges at my foes, ready to rain down and crush them at any time.

If the enemy tries to attack me, I'll launch them immediately. And even if they succeed in capturing me, I can still command the swords to attack.

"A-A sorceress. What's a sorceress doing here!?"

"B-Boss! This is impossible! We can't win this!"

That imp's underlings looks like they were hesitating to fight me. A sorceress? I didn't realize I got to that level already, the last time I remembered I was at the level of a Grandmage.

But nevertheless, this is a good thing. Winning without fighting is a pleasant outcome too.

"What the hell are you talking about? That girl is right in front of you! Get her now!"

"S-Sir, we can't! She'll kill us!"

"Are you fucking retarded!? She's right in front of you, are you blind to notice that she's so close!?"

There was a tense atmosphere among the mercenary stooges as they looked at each other, looking for a way out of this cumbersome situation.

When they were looking so troubled about what options to take, I was looking confident in mopping the fields with them. When they realized this, they came to the most obvious conclusion.

"Ah... Ugh... R-Run away!"

In the end, the option they took is the legendary "run away" option and swiftly fled the place to escape. Each going in different random directions.

I didn't plan on pursuing them and instead, diverted my gaze to the imp watching at the protection of his wagon. Even the coachman fled.

"Y-You fuckers! Get back here! I'll chase you to the ends of the world if you don't get back! HEEEYY!"

This dumbass is as good as dead with noone to protect him now.

With this, I commanded the unused magic swords to point at him to give him a little scare.

"D-Don't kill me!"

"People from the Dragon Continent are really aggressive aren't they?"

With my hands, I grabbed the imp from his collars and lifted him up to the air to get him out of his carriage which serves as his turtle shell.

Then what I saw after I did that, was something I didn't expect I'd laugh so hard at my entire life.

"Pft... Wahahahaha!"

This idiot was less than half my size. To the point I swear even a dwarf is taller than him. While chuckling to my heart's content, I realized Asura wasn't even giving much of a reaction, I find it strange but it may have something to do with her lack of humor.

"Y-You... Hahaha... You think I'm worthy to be your concubine? Aren't you like a fucking mixture of a goblin and a kobold with how hideous you are? Hahaha."

"I-I'll kill you! I swear I'm going to kill you! When I get you I'll make you pay for this! After I'm done playing with you I'll make you beg for mercy!"

At this point I was laughing without any signs of stopping as I was getting emptily threatened. I can't stand it, a bastard like this saying I'm worthy of being his concubine, it felt insulting and ridiculous to the point I'm both maddened and having fun with how hilarious it is.

I-I can't, I have to stop! I'll try to stop it by asking Asura.

"H-Hey, Asura. What should we do with this guy?"

I asked her while trying to hold my laughter and wiping my tears off with my other hand not holding the midget.

"We should punish him."

"That's right! We should!"

Finally, I remembered what I had to do and looked for any ideas right away. Nothing great came to mind but I had a decent one.

That being said, I didn't realize I was having an evil expression.

"Wh-What are you going to do to me!?"

For the next half a dozen seconds, I used four swords to tear and shred his fancy clothes until it's been reduced to mere rags.

Now he looks like a beggar.

"N-No! S-Stop this at once!"

Ignoring his pleas as my swords continued to ruin his outfit, I approached the wagon he rode and freed the horses before burning it down with fire magic.

"Perfect."

The next thing I did was pin him high up on top of a tree with a magic sword by stabbing the clothing he had left.

"Curse you!!"

With this, now it's really perfect.

"Fufu, let's go, Asura."

"Mhn."

Leaving him like that for who knows how long, we resumed our journey without paying mind to whoever finds him.
