Aries Kingdom Arc - Chapter 29: A Date And A Reunion

I woke up the next morning pretty blandly. It turns out it's already 8am in the morning, and as it seems like Aria and Arlet are still sleeping on both sides of my arms it looks like I'm the only one awake yet.

I really wanted to go rinse my mouth but it would be pretty bad if I wake them up by moving a little since they're using my arms as pillows so I clumsily used cleaning magic for the meantime. If Alric was here he'd wake them up for me but he's out on a trip so I guess I'll have to deal with this myself.

It's a good thing they're not feeling sore after a whole night long.

▪️▫️

I had to wait for 2 more hours before the two of them actually woke up, I couldn't get a wink of sleep after that. I gradually got used to this lifestyle.

"Hey, sheven, whesh go bath tofeter."

"Don't speak while brushing your teeth, Arlet." Aria scolded Arlet.

We were currently in the bathroom, I was washing my face while Aria was tying her hair into a chignon and scolding a still sleepy Arlet brushing her teeth.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door that was done three times consecutively.

"Young lady Arlet, breakfast is ready. Please go downstairs once you're ready." Informed a maid of this villa from outside the bathroom.

Arlet really doesn't seem like the type to come from a rich noble family.

"Let's all go bath together after we finish breakfast."

"Yay!"

Arlet jumped at me and hugged me from behind, I'm so glad she finished brushing her teeth before this or there would be foams on my back again.

"Okay let's go!"

As usual, our breakfast composed of simple vegetables and monster meat from this world along with rice. Rice is indispensable for an asian such as me. And from what I have studied, meat and vegetables are the best sources for nutrients and calories for the body. Why calories? It's not like I'm going to get fat since I always burn them during workouts.

After breakfast I immediately digest the food I had using [Rewrite Destiny] and started working on my fitness. 'My every 2 days routine' is about 1000x Push Ups, 1000x Curl Ups and 3000x Squats. However there are other differing exercises which I change to everyday. By far this is the most profitable use I can have for my excess Affection Points. It's best to increase my base stats rather than always relying on my cheat skill.

And whether why I can't bulk my body any further after gaining abs is still a mystery to me. My body is still slim and sexy, which is a good thing since I don't want to look like an oversized walnut back in my world.

After 2 hours of body and sword training, still no signs of exhaustion whatsoever. As expected of my game character.

"Time to bathe Seven, you're all sweaty."

Aria grabbed my hand while I was on my way to the kitchen to grab some milk and pulled me inside the Bathroom, afterwards stripping me of my clothes and undergarments.

"Thanks, Aria. Hold on, are you going to do it again?"

"Mhm, you have to take better care of yourself. You must have trained alot, sword users sure have it rough."

She said while pouring a bucket of warm water on my silky black hair.

"If you ask me, training my mind is alot more difficult mentally."

"I guess both classes are the same with coping up in training."

After thoroughly washing my face, Aria gave my cheek a sweet kiss.

"What are we going to do later in the date?" Asked Arlet.

"Maybe we can go eat some things and explore the city. Is that a good idea?" I answered quite awkwardly.

"Hmmmm, sounds boring but it's never anything boring if it's with people you enjoy being with."

"Aw, so it's not people that you love? You don't love me or Aria anymore, Arlet?" I answered to Arlet teasingly while Aria chuckled quietly.

"Stop that..."

Arlet threw a rubber ducky and hit my head but we only laughed it off since it didn't hurt anyway.

After a few moments, Arlet spoke in an uninterested tone.

"There hasn't been anything happening recently, right? We defeated a Dark General but where do you think the others are? Hey hey, what if we hunt them down?!"

"We're not Heroes, Arlet. Don't be silly." Replied Aria in an elder sister way of speaking.

"But we defeated a Dark General, right? That means they aren't that tough!"

"I think Aria has a point, Arlet. We can't be sure all of them are weak. It's best to let the Heroes do their job, although I heard they haven't been summoned yet. Plus, I wouldn't want any of us dying playing hero. If you want to do something fun, let's go reestablish our Adventurer Cards in this country."

I kind of agree fighting monsters is much more fun than school now, it's all about studying, pressure, memorizing and activities. It's almost the same as my previous world except this one is harder considering I know so little of this world. It's only been a short time but I can't keep living like this for four more years. I feel like... I'd be wasting my youth when I can choose not to.

"Do you guys think we should quit school?"

Suddenly, the two of them was staring at me like I was some disturbing creature. I guess I'll take that as a no.

As a punishment for my stupid question that shocked the two, Aria poured a bucket of water on my head.

Later in the afternoon, our date schedule was set. First off, we went for a warm up by buying ice cream in the merchant's district. Arlet took a chocolate flavor, Aria a vanilla flavor and mine an Oreo one since I didn't want to be the same as the two even though I really wanted the vanilla too.

The area of which the people buy goods from this country is a Merchant's District which every city in the Aries Kingdom has. The items in this world doesn't lose out in the versatility of those in my previous world. Although advanced, it's not as magical and fascinating as this other world.

"The sellers are pretty nice, they gave me a discount because I was pretty."

I said while happily licking my share of ice cream as the three of us were on our way to fetch Minerva since she did say she'll be tagging along.

"Hey Seven, did you know there are evil people in this world?"

"WHAT?!"

I choked on my ice cream, I don't know how that was possible but it was probably because of an unbroken oreo sandwich. I coughed repeatedly.

"The people from the Dragon Continent, our neighborhood, right?"

"Yeah, the people there are both good and bad. They worship different kind of gods which are different from ours and their teachings. I heard people there force you to have sex with them!"

I immediately spit out my ice cream in disbelief. No way, does that mean rape? Rape is possible in this world too? Does that mean I'm here licking ice cream while people are suffering from such cases?

Hold on, I instantly thought of using [Rewrite Destiny] to change that place but I don't want to use it for something like that.

Well I guess it doesn't hurt to prank them a little.

I grabbed a piece of parchment from my storage ring and started writing on it on a fast pace.

"Seven, what are you doing?"

"Every rapist in this

World will slip and fall

On their buttocks."

Perfect. After I finished writing, I pocketed my quill and the paper started burning. I hope those rotten people meet their demise by slipping over on a crucial— eh?

One second later I was looking at the sky, my body horizontal in position.

"Ouch!"

"Ack!"

I fell on my buttocks at the concrete floor along my fall was none other than Arlet. No way, so that included me too?! And Arlet?! Not surprised.

"Ouch ouch ouch, how'd I even slip..." Muttered a confused Arlet who Aria helped stand up.

"Are you okay, Seven? Did you get hurt anywhere else?"

Aria asked while worriedly holding my cheeks. Although I was the one who did this to myself.

"How are you two so clumsy that you'd fall down like that at the same time, geez."

My cheeks were pinched along with Arlet's as we walked closer to the library where Minerva and her grandmother lives.

"Oh my Seven-chan! What brings you here?"

"Lista-san, I missed you!"

I responded while running over to the old witch looking lady to give her a big hug. It's been weeks since I last saw her, I still owe her a great deal for tutoring me.

"You two look like a grandmother and grandchild."

A certain young lady said while climbing down the spiral staircase. It was Minerva's older sister, Rin Stonegale.

"Ohohoho! Isn't that right? Let's make Minerva marry her."

"Don't decide that on your own, grandma!"

Minerva interrupted with a slightly reddish complexion, she arrived just behind her older sister and climbed down. She seemed to be wearing a black and white colored mini dress. In front of her, we looked like body guards since the three of us often wear our adventurer outfits at all times when we're outside.

"We'll be going then!"

"Thank you, Lista-san!"

I waved my hand as we departed now that we secured Minerva.

"Take care of her, Seven-chan!"

"Don't slip on your way, Mine!"

"I won't!" Replied Minerva at her two family members as we went back to our date.

"It still feels weird being with you guys when you're dating. Am I some kind of fourth wheel?"

Asked Minerva apprehensively, as planned, we sandwiched her in the middle of us three as a way to tease her.

"Ha... Hahaha..." She awkwardly laughed after noticing what we're doing, her tenseness and quivering increasing.

"Should we go buy at the chocolate shop Alric mentioned, now?"

"Not yet, my lips still taste sweet because of the icecream." Said Aria who was pondering on what place to suggest instead.

"Hm? Not me either, mine still tastes like chocolate." Said Arlet who just kissed me to taste if mine was the same. Really, to kiss me in front of so many people, even I'm embarrassed.

"How about you, Minerva?"

Minerva contemplated for a few moments, then opened her mouth to speak with an answer ready.

"How about... Eggs?"

"Eggs..?"

The three of us reiterated in chorus. Why eggs of all things right now?

"I just feel like it."

"Now that you mention it, I think that's a good idea." I answered.

"I agree, let's go buy chicken eggs."

Aria agreed.

"Let's go buy dolphin eggs!"

You'll eat that?!

"Dolphins don't exist in this world, Arlet! And they don't lay eggs either!"

"Aww, I was wondering how they'd taste like."

We quarreled about this on the way, and bought tempura-like deep-fried batter covered boiled eggs. I don't remember what it's name is and what foreign country it was from, but it's a delicacy similar to our world that I occasionally ate from a restaurant back in japan. I think it was a Philippine restaurant? The owner and I were good friends because she's a girl. This sure brings back memories. I wonder what she's doing now.

I walked mindlessly as I ate while reminiscing the past.

"Eh?"

I looked around me, where are Arlet, Aria and Minerva?

I was surrounded by bustling crowds, the only things I could hear were other people's discussions and the attractions of the merchant sellers. And what makes me feel even more tensed up is that it's currently nighttime at 8pm.

What should I do?!

I'm lost?!

Should I go use my skill right now since it's an emergency..?

No I won't! I'll just use One to survey the area and find those guys. I can't believe I lost them that easily.

I panicked by myself in this overcrowded place. It turns out that the merchant's district has more people on nighttime than at day. It really gives me the shivers to think I'm out here without anyone besides One with me.

"One come here."

I mumbled while placing my hand next to the small bag behind my back where One decided to be it's home. She often stays there because of how much it likes dark places so I gladly allowed it.

The squirrel detected my hand and timely used it to climb from my arm right up to my head. She sat there waiting for orders. I really love her well behaved manner when it's a serious situation.

"Hello, we meet again."

But before I could give her orders, a familiar voice came from somewhere nearby.

It was Thalia-san, that knight looking girl that saved me from poverty that time. That one girl who gave me my starting point money to start living in this world. I finally met her again.
