"I want to retire." Bryce told Aloysius, who sat in the bed-like object in his stern tone.

Aloysius looked at him with his jaw dropped, muttering,

'What the fuck with this legal-shota?!! He isn't even old enough to retire!'

Thus, he continued again while his eyes were widened,

'My gramps in your age is still working, you know!'

"Hey, don't compare mortal with immortals!!" Askardia smacked Aloysius's head with her right fist, telling him that he shouldn't do that.

Thus, he asked Bryce with his curious tone as he tried to restore his composure,

"What do you want from the retirement? Why do you choose me instead? I think,you are a veteran yourself, do you?"

"Askardia is my junior, Sirius is my trained player. I want both of you to collaborate to replace my position for protecting the Earth. Usually, I was going with Askardia to protect the Earth from catastrophic war like world war 1 or world war 2. But, I think I was going too slow for now. Which means that I had to retire as soon as I can, while nominating either one of you to become the commander for direct managing the world."

"Why do you have that strong attachment to our world, Bryce?"

"Its because..."

He remembered himself when he was severely injured, eons ago.

It was in his younger day when he was a newly assigned god of war.

He had seen a beautiful lady who had taken care of him at that time, opened his vision for how beautiful the Earth was.

He remembered those which led him to say,

"I'm indebted with a day who treated me as her son when I was losing my memories. Thus, I want to protect her legacy with all of my might! But, eons passed, and I have been in my limit now. Not to mention that I had no choice but to wipe my beloved citizens by persuading a country to throw a nuclear bomb to that place. But, that was..."

"You did a right thing, to be honest." Aloysius commented at him before he could continue. Then, he explained to him,

"If I were you, I will do the same as well. I had read that from history over how twisted the world was. Thus, I don't want that to be happen. If I was on my limit like how you were back then. I will opt that as well. Or even, I will opt in the massacre. Because, people nowadays are twisted. They don't even believe in god anymore while I remembered that god was the one who blessed me with the ability of playing chess, rendering myself to have the ability to win the chess world championship for eight times straight."

"Damn, that pervert must be taken into your interest, do he?" Askardia looked at him while stated that. Thus, he reprimanded her by saying,

"He is not a pervert! Every man has that nature!"

"Got to be agree with Aloysius for this." Bryce replied with a nod. Then, he continued,

"A man tends to have three weakness in whim on himself, Wealth, Power, and Lady. Nobody has ever managed to dispel that, not even Zeus, who capable of resisting it. It can't be helped after all."

Then, Aloysius nodded. At the same time, he muttered,

'To be fair, I prefer to work by myself. There are a lot of noobs* or either the pipsqueaks*. I really want to avoid them so much. Or else, I might be facing the same case again.'

Then, he decided to tell him honestly,

"My [Aorus Mode] will burn my soul gradually until I'm dying for eternity. That's the drawback of the massive power given by the god of the eagle, Aorus. "

"I know it all along. That explained of why Askardia never be able to use it. To be fair, I let her to KS* it. So she could learn the experience of hunting. But now, she's matured. Its time to us to form the alliance, shall we?"

His right hand had reached to the front of Aloysius. He did that as a sign that he wanted to work together with him.

But, Aloysius remained with his similar ideal, [Not working with anyone].

However, he was realistic as well over how strong the drawbacks of using his ultimate skill.

He could use it anytime, but he needs to think it out wisely before he used it. Or else, just like a particular Sci-Fi game with a bunch of waifus* out there, he will lose his life way faster than anyone. Or even died permanently.

Thus, it was all decided.

He decided to form an alliance with Bryce, the god of war, who was tasked to become the protector of Earth.

He shook his hand as he decided to be agreed with it.

Thus, Bryce smiled gracefully, telling him,

"Thank you for allowing us to tell you about this."

"It's okay, Bryce. I know that one day, I will do this. But as I told you. I won't be relying on you guys much. Instead, I will help you guys as much as I can. But, Don't cause any trouble to me when we were in the war."

"It's easy. Selena is an independent player, I could become your patron healer and Sirius is a tactical man."

"Well, I'm a tactical man as well." Aloysius smirked at him, standing in front of him arrogantly but in a good way.

"A mortal challenging me for a strategy play? Well... I loved that a lot! You made me intrigued with your true capability there!"

Thus, he shifted a message to him through the messaging system on his heads-up display, rendering Aloysius to see a challenge invitation... Against...

Aloysius smiled when he looked at this. Telling Bryce,

"Can you summon all of your crews to my hut now? This is gonna be interesting!"

* Pipsqueaks = A player with a high-pitched voice. It usually to mentions those awfully underaged kids who caused the problem in-game by doing anything worse. Some of them even screaming in the game, which caused many inconveniences for the older players.
