Light felt a sharp pain in his chest as he collapsed on the stairs. He knew it was over. He had lost to Near and his pathetic puppets. He had failed to become the god of the new world.
Light's vision blurred, memories flooding his mind. The faces of those he had condemned flashed before him—the criminals, the innocents, the pawns in his grand game. Their eyes accused him, their voices echoing in the recesses of his conscience.
And then, as if summoned by fate, he saw him—the ghostly apparition of L, the brilliant detective who had once challenged him. L's eyes held a mix of pity and disappointment. In death, he remained an enigma, a riddle unsolved.
And in that final moment, as the sirens drew nearer, Light Yagami whispered a single regret: not for the lives he had taken, but for the life he had forsaken—the ordinary existence he could never reclaim...
He closed his eyes and waited for the inevitable darkness to consume him. But it never came.
Instead, he felt a strange sensation of being pulled into a vortex of light. He opened his eyes and saw a kaleidoscope of colors swirling around him. He felt his body being twisted and stretched in impossible ways. He heard a loud noise like a thunderclap and then everything went silent.
He found himself lying on the ground, surrounded by trees and plants. He smelled the fresh air and heard the chirping of birds. He blinked and looked around, confused and disoriented. Where was he? What had happened? Was this some kind of trick by Near?
He tried to get up, but felt a surge of weakness and nausea. He realized he was still bleeding from his gunshot wound. He touched his chest and felt the sticky blood on his fingers. He cursed and looked for something to stop the bleeding. He saw a piece of cloth nearby and ripped it off. He wrapped it around his wound and tied it tightly. He hoped it would be enough to keep him alive.
He looked at the cloth and recognized it as part of his shirt. He noticed that his clothes were torn and dirty. He also saw that he had dropped his watch and his pen. He reached for them, but they were too far away. He felt a pang of regret and anger. Those were the only things he had left from his old life. The life he had sacrificed for his ideals. The life he had thrown away for nothing.
He wondered if anyone would miss him. He doubted it. He had alienated everyone who cared about him. His father, his sister, his friends, his girlfriend. He had used them all for his own purposes. He had betrayed them all for his own ego. He had killed them all for his own justice.
He wondered if Ryuk was still around. He had not seen him since he wrote his name on the Death Note. He had not heard his voice or his laugh. He had not felt his presence or his gaze. He had not sensed his amusement or his boredom. He had not cared about him or his apples. He had not thanked him or said goodbye.
He wondered if he still had the Death Note. He reached into his pocket and felt the familiar texture of the notebook. He pulled it out and opened it. He saw the names of his victims, written in his neat handwriting. He saw the rules of the Death Note, written in Ryuk's messy scrawl. He saw the blank pages, waiting for more names.
He felt a surge of hope and excitement. He realized he still had a chance. He still had a weapon. He still had a power. He still had a purpose. He could still create the new world. He could still become the god.
He looked around and saw no signs of civilization. He saw no buildings, no roads, no vehicles, no people. He saw only nature, untouched and unspoiled. He saw a new world, waiting for him to shape it. He saw a new challenge, waiting for him to conquer it.
He smiled and clenched his fist. He felt a new determination and a new confidence. He felt a new joy and a new thrill. He felt alive.
He said to himself, "This is not the end. This is the beginning. I am Light Yagami. I am Kira. I am the god of this world. And I will make it mine."
Light was stunned as he felt the notebook being snatched from his hand. He looked up and saw a strange figure standing over him. It looked like a robot, with a metal body and glowing eyes. It held the Death Note in its grasp and stared at Light with a cold expression.
"Who are you? What are you doing? Give me back my notebook!" Light shouted, trying to grab the notebook back.
The robot moved its arm away and shook its head. "You cannot use this notebook. It is bad for your mental health. It will only bring you misery and suffering like it did with all it's users. It will only make you a monster. It will only destroy you and everything you love."
Light felt a surge of rage and fear. He glared at the robot and said, "You don't know anything. You don't understand anything. You don't have the right to judge me. You don't have the power to stop me. I am the only one who can use this notebook. I am the only one who can create the new world. I am the only one who can become the god. Give me back my notebook, or I will kill you!"
The robot tilted its head and said, "You cannot kill me. I am not human. I do not have a name. I do not have a lifespan. I do not have a soul. I am a machine. I am a guardian. I am a protector. I am here to save you from yourself."
Light felt a chill run down his spine. He realized he was facing an enemy unlike any he had ever encountered before. He realized he was in a situation he had never anticipated before. He realized he was in a world he had never imagined before.
He wondered what this robot was. He wondered where it came from. He wondered why it was here. He wondered how it knew about the Death Note. He wondered what it was going to do with the Death Note.
He wondered if he still had a chance. He wondered if he still had a weapon.
The robot then made a hand gesture erasing the notebook and said.
"Use this ability instead. "
Light looked at the status window that appeared in front of him. It was a transparent screen that showed his name, level, stats, and skills. He was surprised to see that he had a level and stats, as if he was a character in a game. He wondered what they meant and how they affected him.
He focused on his skill, Judgement's Gaze. It was the only skill he had, and it was a passive one. It said:
**Judgement's Gaze**: Allows the user to see whether a person is bad or not by looking at their eyes. If the person is bad, their eyes will glow red. If the person is good, their eyes will glow blue. If the person is neutral, their eyes will remain normal. The user can also apply a 20% debuff to all stats of a bad person by staring at them for 3 seconds.
Light felt a surge of curiosity and excitement. He realized that this skill was similar to the Shinigami Eyes, but with some differences. He realized that this skill was useful for his goals, but with some limitations. He realized that this skill was a gift from the robot, but with some strings attached.
He decided to test his skill. He looked at the robot and saw that its eyes were glowing green. He wondered what that meant. He asked the robot, "What color are your eyes?
The robot looked at Light and said, "My eyes are green. It means that I am neither good nor bad. I am neutral. I am a machine. I do not have morals or emotions. I only have logic and functions. I am here to help you, but not to interfere with you. I am your guide, but not your friend."
Light nodded and said, "I see. And what about me? What color are my eyes?"
The robot looked at Light and said, "Your eyes are purple. It means thatYour personality is complex. You have morals and emotions. You have logic and functions. You are here to change the world, but not to destroy it. You are like a god, but also like a devil."
Light smiled and said, "I see. And what about the others? The people in this world? What color are their eyes?"
The robot looked at Light and said, "You will see for yourself. Some are good, some are bad, some are neutral. Some are friends, some are foes, some are strangers. Some are humans, some are not. This world is diverse and dynamic.
Light felt a surge of anticipation and determination.
Light felt a strange sensation in his mind. He felt as if he was splitting into two. He felt as if he had another body. He looked at his side and saw a person who looked exactly like him. He had the same face, the same hair, the same clothes. He had the same eyes, but they were glowing purple.
"Who are you?" Light asked, startled.
"I am you. And you are me. We are one and the same. We have the same memories, the same thoughts, the same goals. We are both Light Yagami. We are both Kira. We are both the god of this world. But we are also different. We have different roles. We will have different lives. You are the original. You are the leader who will be living a peaceful life I am the clone. I am the one who will pretend as kira. I am the servant. I am here to obey you and help you. I am here to be your another self." The clone said, calmly.
Light felt a mix of shock and awe. He realized that this was the skill that the robot had given him. He realized that this was another gift from the robot. He realized that this was another advantage for him.
He decided to test his clone. He asked him, "What is your name?"
The clone looked at Light and said, "My name is whatever you want it to be. You can call me anything you like. You can give me a new name, or you can use your own name. It does not matter to me. "
Light thought for a moment and said, "Then I will call you L. It is a name that I once considered a friend and a name that I once hated. It is a name that represents my greatest enemy, and a name that represents my greatest Rival. It is a name that suits you, and a name that suits me. It is a name that will confuse and deceive our enemies, It is a name that will make us the ultimate Kira."
The clone nodded and said, "Very well. I am L. And you are Light. We are both Kira. We are both the god of this world."
Light smiled and said, "Yes, we are. And we will make this world ours."
The robot watched the scene from a distance. It had given Light the skill of split personality, It had also given him a warning. There were three others like him in this world. Three others who had been transported from different realities. Three others who had different abilities and goals. Three others who could be allies or enemies. Three others who could challenge or support him. Three others who could change or destroy the world.
The robot had given different skills to each of them, as well as the same warning. One's name starts with the letter A, one with the letter J, one with the letter Y. They were the other Kiras. They were the other gods.
The robot had done its job. It had fulfilled its mission. It had completed its function.
It had no more reasons to stay. It vanished into the air, leaving behind four pairs of purple eyes. Four pairs of eyes that glowed with different ideals. Four pairs of eyes that stared at the new world. Four pairs of eyes that belonged to the new gods.
Though it had forgot to mention that each chosen one's eyes will glow differently according to their personalities.
