Chapter 11, Talking Komodo

Under the scorching sun, blood red sands stretched out as one huge almost unlivable desert.

The skies clear, no cloud, not even wind.

On a dark tusk like rock, a small Komodo stared at the sun blankly. After a few minutes of forcing his eyes to met the piercing light, the Komodo sighed.

"I can only accept it, huh."

He spoke in Indonesian language.

That's right.

His maw movement maybe a bit weird, but he clearly able to speak like humans with that snout.

But it was not something surprising for the Komodo, at least compared to the fact that he used to be human. That's right, Komo Saputra, be was just your average teenager in his highschool days a few days ago. But due unfortunate circumstances, he ended up here in the middle of nowhere as komodo hatchling.

Lamenting that reality, he kicked off a stone behind him. It fell and rolled on the sand surfaces when out of nowhere, a monstrous jaw jumped from the sand.

[Target: Mature Kalasir, can provide 100 biomass.]

A mechanical voice rang in Komo's mind, telling him the basic information of the creature in front of him.

"It's him again damnit! I'll starve to death at this rate!"

Komo shouted angrily.

"Why I must become a Komodo?! I don't even know a thing about this creatures except the fact that we lived in the same country! If you're gonna throw me in this damned place, you can just make me one of them Kalasir! I swear! I swear if I ever found the answer and it was only because my name is Komo, o god or whatsoever, I'll beat your ass!"

After yelling for a bit to the skies, Komo can feel his hunger intensified.

Clicking his forked tongue angrily, he kick another stone.

It's fall, rolled, Kalasir attacked.

"Still too big damnit! I will be the dinner instead!"

Feeling like crying, Komo throw another stone.

Again.

And again.

After several attempts that emptied his patience stock, he finally found a suitable prey.

[Target: Young Kalasir, can provide 1 biomass.]

Fang Yun flicked his tongue slightly, staring at the confused scorpion+crab looking creature, looking for an opportunity. Few seconds later, just as the reddish creature about to burrow into sand again, Komo muscles instantly tightened and he attack.

His mouth opened, biting the creature, not letting it go even as it struggled. Then he hurriedly climbed his rock again. Reaching the top, he glanced behind and just as expected, there was quite a commotion.

Snorting, he moved to the other side of the rock.

There was a hole enough for adult head to enter, deep enough to cover half of this tusk like rock

Komo throw the struggling thing inside before going in himself. Thanks to the rough surface of the rock as well as his claws, he didn't feel real difficulty to move on this rock.

"Now, wait."

Although he has surprisingly high poison resistance that he didn't feel anything when that little creature attack him with it's venomous tail, Komo did not confident about swallowing such creature alive.

Thus, he could only do this.

This little cave got extremely hot at day, and combined with his saliva that already coating that creature whole, it will only take a few hours before he could ate his usual dish.

An hour later…

Komo entered the cave, ignoring the heat, and saw the motionless creature coated in bubbling saliva.

"Urgh…"

Ignoring his disgust, Komo grab the carcass and swallowed it, causing a small bulge to raise in his stomach. At the same time, his stomach began to secrete a large amount of strong acidic gastric juice, digesting it in a short time.

Having finished his meal, Komo rushed outside and laid down on his spot before.

"Gotta hunt again…"

Such bug creature should be very slow to digest, however, because of the particularity of Komo himself, in less than an minute, he completely digested it.

[Ding! Host has gained 1 biomass.]

The previous mechanical voice once again sounded in his mind.

Hearing this voice, Komo, who had been resting his eyes, opened them and said in his mind, "System, open my information panel."

A curtain of light appeared in front of him, and on this light curtain was a line of text:

[Host: Komo

- Race: Komodo (hatchling)

- Attributes list: (not expanded)

- Main mission: Survive and leave the Blood Desert before the Blood Moon.

- Mission period: A month (26 days left)

- Mission Tip: Host can hunt prey, gain biomass and evolve himself, improve power and ability to survive.

- Warning: If Host does not complete the mission within the given time, System will determine that Host is unfit to be bind to the System. ]

After browsing the text on the information panel, Komo couldn't help but sigh.

It has been four days since he came to this world, but he still has an unreal feeling, and in his heart, he always hoping that this is just a dream and that he will eventually wake up.

But every time he looked at the system panel in his mind, he has to recognize the reality. He really did cross over to another world, and most importantly he reincarnated as a Komodo.

He doesn't know why this happened to him, why this system chose him, a your average teenager.

On the first day of crossing into this world, Komo's head was filled with boundless fear and despair. Unlike the excitement of those who cross to new worlds in online novels, he was particularly depressed.

After all, crossing means that he can no longer meet his parents, relatives, and friends, surviving alone in this world. Without even mentioning the fact, he actually reincarnated as a Komodo.

In such a state of panic, Fang Yun kept praying in his heart, hoping that God would send him back again.

But what he prayed for was not answered.

In the end, he could only accept his reality helplessly and did what system ask, survive.

Life is better than death.

Even if he became a pig, he did not want to die so easily. Maybe then he would have a chance to go home in the future.

"I wanna evolve…"

Komo can gain biomass by consuming various prey, and it allows him to evolve and grow up quickly. But it's just what system write, he haven't proven it.

"System, expand my properties panel."

The next moment, the curtain of light in his mind flickered, and the text refreshed.

[Level: 1

- Biomass: 8/10

- Skill Points: -

- Body length: 40cm

- Diameter: 10cm

- Strength: 4

- Defense: 8

- Speed: 5

- Skill: None.]

Seeing that he only needs 2 biomass points to evolve, Komo's couldn't help but cheer up. Once he evolves, things should get easier.

His current place is in a barren desert that is unlivable, or at least in the four days after his rebirth, he did not find any signs of creatures but those bug.

In such a desert, food is hard to come by.

"Ah, look at this. I'm 40cm long but only 10cm wide. Damn I'm nothing but bones!"

Fortunately, in the area around his nest, Fang Yun hadn't found any fatal threat yet, but this does not mean that he can take the situation lightly.

Because he is too small now. With his current size, even bug like Kalasir are his natural enemies.

Level 1 to Infinity: My Bloodline Is the Ultimate Cheat!

They shattered his life. Now, he’ll break the world. Ethan had it all, until his best friend and the woman he loved betrayed him, leaving him crippled and forgotten. Three years of suffering later, he clawed his way to one final, desperate act… and the universe answered. A hidden quest. A second chance. A return to the moment everything began. Now, Ethan is back, on the eve of Ethereal’s launch, the world’s first fully immersive VR game and the battlefield where legends are forged. Last time, he played fair. This time? He’s armed with years of knowledge: every exploit, every secret quest, every broken mechanic that will let him climb straight to the top. But when he logs in, something is off. The system forces him into an unwanted class—Druid, the game’s biggest joke. The kind of class people pick as a dare and regret immediately. Yet as Ethan digs deeper, the truth shakes him. [Congratulations! You have unlocked the Divine Bloodline: King of Elves!] Ethan stared at the screen, unblinking. “…The hell?” The Druid class was a jack-of-all-trades, master of none—a scattered mess of abilities that mimicked other classes but never truly excelled. Their bear form lacked the raw defense of a proper tank. Their panther form was weaker than a rogue. Their healing fell short of a priest, and their magic couldn’t compare to a mage’s devastating spells. Most players abandoned the class early, realizing they could never compete at the highest level. And yet, Ethan’s stats are off the charts. His talents are absurd. His potential is beyond anything he’s ever seen. The system has given him something no other Druid ever had—a divine bloodline, legendary abilities, and a growth rate that defies logic. If Druids were meant to be weak, then Ethan was the exception that would rewrite history. He’s not just here to reclaim his throne. He’s here to take everything. Factions will rise. Empires will fall. The strongest will thrive, and the weak will perish. And the ones who betrayed him? They won’t live to do it again.
