Rise of the Dragonborn II

Double timing to the tower, I can see one guard cowering near the rubble of the watchtower.

Dashing into the tower, my companions follow close behind as we get into position. My heart begins to pound in anticipation as the thunderous roar of the far-off dragon reaches my ears. I can't believe I'm this pumped to face what would definitely be certain death in my old life!

As I'm pondering my newfound battle lust I see the rest of the party bracing themselves, some in fear and others in anticipation, and just cresting the nearby road I see Irileth and her guardsmen approaching the tower as another much closer roar echoes throughout the sky.

It's then I see him… Swooping in from the far-off mountain range, I line up a shot before shouting to the rest, "Ready! Aim! Fire!"

As a barrage of arrows hit their mark and pepper the dragon named Mirmulnir he bellows in rage shouting in the language of the Dovah, "I had forgotten what fine sport you mortals provide!" As Mirmulnir moves in closer to the tower to prepare to bathe the tower in a torrent of flame, the rest of the party dives down the stairs of the tower…

But something in me… I feel an irritable urge to stand and fight! My blood is boiling and my feet won't let me retreat to safety. FUCKING ORC BLOOD!

In a strange moment of peace, I feel my racing heart stop as Mirmulnir rears back his head to let forth his flame on the tower… And before I realize it, I'm charging at him full tilt not even able to think…

3 steps from the edge… I see the flames smoldering in Mirmulnir's throat and a chilling frost begins to envelop my left hand and I ready my sword in my right.

2 steps from the edge… My legs tense up as I approach the crenelations of the tower and the flames from Mirmulnir's throat overshadow his amber serpentine eyes as it inches closer towards me in slow motion… I hear a noise behind… I can't make it out… I think it's Lokir? It seems fuzzy though as if hearing him through water.

1 step from the edge… I release all the pent up tension in my legs activating my shockwave ability to launch me over the edge of the tower, bathing myself in a torrent of flame…

Reacting without a second thought, I shove my left hand into the oncoming inferno and release a torrent of frost almost as strong as the dragon's breath, just barely covering my body as I inch closer to Mirmulnir's maw, shrouded in his flame.

As I fly through his flame nearly unscathed, Mirmulnir has no time to react as I shove my frost magic-coated left hand into his toothy maw as I feel it snap shut, anchoring me to his head as stab my sword through his neck…

I feel my HP draining by the second, but instead of losing my arm to the dragon's bite, Instead, I release even more frost magic down his gullet and begin to send electric magic through my sword that is currently embedded in Mirmulnir's neck.

Locking my legs around his neck as he tries to shake me off as we plummet from the skies as Mirmulnir thrashes about diving towards the ground.

Time begins to speed back up once again as I shout, "BLOOD FOR MALACATH!" As I tear into Mirmulnir's scaly throat with my bare tusks, tearing and shredding away until we are both tumbling on the ground rolling over one another…

Its blood fills my mouth, feeling as if I'm drinking hot lead, but it seems to be invigorating me with each gulp… Until nothing but silence is heard and I feel the death grip on my left arm…

What… The… FUCK?! WHY DID I DO THAT?! As I panic over my low health and begin chugging health potions to stabilize my still decreasing HP, my party and Irileth slowly approach my blood-soaked form in utter disbelief at how I tore the dragon to death.

"You… You killed it?" Irileth asks in complete denial of what just happened.

Downing my sixth health potion I finally wipe my mouth and look towards her as the flesh of Mirmulnir begins to disintegrate into winds of light enveloping me, sending an electrifying sensation across my body as I receive the notification of receiving my first dragon soul and spending it to activate the Fus shout as I hear the rest of the guards mumbling I shout into the sky, "FUS!"

And then looking back down towards Irileth, I reply, "That I did, tis what I was contracted for after all."

I say with a flourish and a bow before the words, "DOH! VAH! KIN!" Echo across the land and I depart to inform the Jarl of my completion of his quest with my speechless companions trailing quietly behind me.
