'Ah! I remember pulling an all-nighter. I slept like a log and my back hurts a little, hmmm~.' Hiroto stretched his numb arms, back and feet, before going out excitedly, the inn gave morning and afternoon meals if one bought their one day stay package.
'Why is the activation so long?' He grumbled.
It was already the middle of the day when he ate the morning meal, the hard black bread with a cold coffee tasted a little weird in the mouth and it was cold too, sucks to be here if you were a foodie, maybe he could start a business for food here or just learn cooking itself?
Hiroto was usually okay with instant noodles and instant stuff that gets the job done, so he didn't mind more suffering.
'Arrival of the hero huh…' As Hiroto was waiting for the food to digest, he suddenly heard some people talking about the arrival of heroes and how awesome they were, they surely were fast.
'It's already spreading, he~h. Well good for them.' Speaking of food, yesterday, the food in the castle tasted just lower than average compared to the food on earth.
Hiroto walked outside to a fruit vendor and bought apples. It didn't cost much, only three copper coins for one so he bought three. He decided to wait for the timer while munching the apples. It tasted sweet and natural, probably better than on the earth. While waiting, he uncovered his anime figures, god they were so awesome and.. useless in this world, sadly his phone busted too, his earphones became unusable.
Time felt so slow waiting. He walked out of the inn and decided to visit some places, for example the plaza with a water fountain that can be used to get some water.
The plaza was full of life, there were many kids running around. Then he walked around and found a small church with a mass currently going on. It's different from where he had transmigrated. It was a novelty to experience something like this, the only thing lacking was the soundtrack in the background but since this was his real world now, he couldn't ask for much.
The priest wearing a white outfit was strengthening their belief. The Holy Kingdom revered the Goddess of Light as their god, different kingdoms revere different gods. They even had a carved statue of the light goddess that was glowing with radiance.
How magical.
'Maybe it won't be blasphemous to pray here for god.' he sat in the available seat and prayed, thanking the GOD for what he had done. It lifted him, he felt his worries vanished in his heart.
Nothing happened, of course. He went back to the inn and waited, it was already sunset.

"That daily quest is funny~ anyways.. system are you there~?" he asked in a low voice then he heard a robotic neutral voice in his mind, it really feels weird to hear directly in the head.

'Okay and can the dinging sound stop? It's really annoying just like what they said in those novels.'
[ Affirmative, annoying notification sound turned off. ]
'Good, now explain what the system is.' Hiroto talked in his mind like a person with mental illness. He ate and enjoyed the sweet tasting apples like he was cleaning his teeth.

'So, it was a multiverse system, I didn't expect that from that almighty god.' Hiroto assumes the god to be a male but he didn't have an idea so he just sticks calling him a male.
'Are you sentient?' he asked.

Hiroto chuckled and bit on the second apple, "Okay and just saying, can I have you gain a personality?"

'Then I'll call you Patricia from now on, she's my little sister system and sometimes she's not so honest with her feelings..' he said and imagined her appearance.
[ Okay. ] A soothing female loli voice sounded in his mind, he chuckled, for sure it was the voice he was imagining. How considerate the system was. 'What a steal the system is.'
'I'm glad to have you from now on and also you can just call me by my name, and don't use honorifics.' he smiled and said.
[ Okay, Hiroto. ] Patricia softly said his name, it really struck his heart.
Hiroto scratched his head, 'Iyahh~h I feel really blessed~ chotto, I'm getting a little sidetracked from getting an imouto system.'
It's not that one can blame him, getting a system with a cute voice might be one of the dreams he had realized. He couldn't help being giddy, he calmed himself with a fake cough and said.
'Patricia, let's open all the mystery chest I have.'
