"Umm... Village Chief, I apologize for overhearing your discussion, but could I possibly purchase some of the crops the village has?"
Colton suddenly chimed in, drawing everyone's attention back to him. They had almost forgotten he was there.
"I need to get back to Riverstone Village. They rely on my goods, and their situation is worsening," he continued a worried look on his face.
Lucien regarded him sympathetically. "I see... Is this because of the mist?"
Colton nodded. "Yes, Village Chief. No merchants have dared to go to their village for the past six months."
"I pity those villagers," Lucien said, his face portraying sadness. "But Mr. Colton, I need to discuss this with Gibson first. We must ensure we can meet our own needs before we sell any surplus."
"Thank you, Village Chief," Colton replied, his eyes brimming with tears of gratitude.
After that, Colton and Amanda left the meeting room, leaving Lucien and Gibson alone.
