In the Crimson Eagle, under the order of Vera Crimson, the third area, which manages all the documentation in the Crimson Eagle, having a huge investigation underground, only Vera trusted subordinates have been told, to investigate.

Rae, was one of Vera's agents too, ('why did I have to do this even when I'm this busy! It was Lex and Mio first OutMission!') she, who inadvertently become their manager at their back, had been busy with supporting them, she complained by she still did her works, she was excellent in her work, that's the reason why she became Vera direct subordinate too.

"Heyaa! What are you talking about" a sunny voice called from behind Lex, which brimming with the scent of death "bukusuku, Na~, Dear tell me something too~" Mio then put her hand on Lex's shoulder

(Eeeekkk~!?) he sent an eye signal for help from his comrade

It took a while for Lex to cajoled Mio backs to normal

"I've been thinking why Monster didn't show up around the Village and its nearby forest" Max asked when they having dinner together, Lex and the rest tilted their head under his question

"Isn't it because of the Power spot?" Lex said represented the other's opinion

"Power spot?" Max asked back "what's that?" and he was answered by another strange look from the rest

"You didn't know Power Spot?" Cleos said, "We should have learned it in the beginning, no?" Cleos asked for agreement from the rest, which they answered with a nod

"You see, on the Second Area, Venti Crimson's Path, there's no such thing as theory knowledge, all they know is how to train their muscle," Max said with a bitter smile "so I didn't know much about that kind of theory"

(So that's why your body become like that~) Lex thought

"Kukuhahahaha, we have all muscle no brain people here~~!" Mio laughed like usual, Max was used to her that much that he wouldn't get offended by something small like this

Ignoring Mio, Aria started to explain "Power Spot, is the spot which built long ago in the past, to gather Mana in the surrounding, by gathering those Mana in one spot, the surroundings will have less Mana in the air, which made it more unlikely for Monster to appear there, in other words, a safe place for people, that's why Many settlements made near those Power Spot"

"You feel it too, no? that the Mana in the surrounding around the Village thinner than usual, it's because of the Power Spot, which very likely to be in that mountain" Aria pointed the Mountain south of the Village, where the Handsome bulky man sighted many of lights and skeletons

Max's eyes sparkled when he heard that "I mean If we knew how to build Power Spot, we can just make those Power Spot gathered more Mana from the surrounding, like that we didn't have to be afraid of Monster anymore!"

Arthur shook his head "sadly, that's impossible, have you ever heard The City of Atlantis?"

"Atlantis?" Max tilted his head, he lived in the Orphanage its not strange for them to not know about some common sense

"There's a rumor said, in the past, they made a huge Power-Spot which can gather Mana from the whole continent, they succeeded but the result far beyond everybody expectation," Arthur said the other can feel the dread behind her words

Max swallowed his saliva "t, then what happened?"

"As you know, Monster formed when Mana accumulated, The Mana from the whole continent, just how dense that Mana is no one knew about it anymore, but at that time that dense Mana birthed something that shouldn't be born, what they called "Demon Lord" in the past"

(Demon lord!? Well, I would have reacted like that if I didn't know about it) Lex thought, he got access to Livia's books there's no way he didn't know something that many others know, its more likely for him to know something that others didn't know

"Demon lord…" Max repeated her words

"Monster which far exceeded Rank A, and the cause of that destroyed City of Atlantis" Arthur replied "that's why it's impossible to lessen the Monster using that way"

"I see…"

The Next day

Lex and the rest visited the forest southwest of the Village right as planned, it was the forest where The Hunter hunt his prey, they made a throughout search and investigations around the area

"How is it?" Aria asked it's almost noon as they started their investigation right after the sunrise, Aria wasn't an amateur in this kind of works, but she wasn't a professional too, that's why she asked for the one who was the best in this kind of work

"it's like what the Hunter told us before, there are many footsteps and traces of others walking here and there in the forest, there's no pattern thought," Lex said, she needed his opinion but that doesn't mean she stop thinking about it herself, nor disregard the other's opinion

"We checked the whole area, there's no enemy in sight, everything was clear, only tracks were left behind" Max reported

After Aria received the report from the others, she decided to end their investigation on this forest, even if they spend more time they most likely wouldn't find anything special either, that's why she turned her attention toward the mountain forest south of the Village.

It was about 2 PM on the next day when they reached the other forest, they walked as far as a normal human could walk in a day without rest, those who had learned about Mana unconsciously strengthen their body, so they can endure controlling their Mana, but it didn't increase that much that they become like superhuman like the one from the Anime unless they consciously used their Mana to strengthen their body.

"If what we guessed it right, about the Power Spot on that mountain, it'll become much more dangerous" Aria explained "that's why we'll rest here today, and resume our travel next morning, for now, we'll rest"

The others didn't object to her decision, even if they all never met power spot before, it would be foolish to underestimate it, they should be in the perfect state in their best condition before challenging that place.

This would be the third day, Lex and the rest camped outdoor, like the other day Lex would check their surrounding before they starts their preparation after they received a clear sign from Lex, they finally start to prepare for the night, the time they needed to prepare for it becoming quicker each day, with today they prepared it earlier than yesterday, their group had enough free time. They laughed and chatted with each other, they were able to deepen their relationship even between Mio and Cleos, it would be fine as long they didn't leave both of them alone, it was a happy occasion

(It's like a field trip, from school) Lex thought, he was happy too for them to get along like this

Yet, Lex would never expect just how fragile those relationships to be in this world, he never know before experiencing it himself, just how harsh and how different the world he stepped his foot into…

It was right before the sunset ended, where the sunlight was about to fade and welcome the night when the light from the sun nor the light from the lamp was strong enough to light the area. It was the best time for an ambush
