Meeting the Hooded Man

Arion is now located in a new Room with a table and two chairs in the middle. One of the guards that brought him here removes the chains from the cage and is now holding them firmly in his hands. The other one tells him to get up and sit on the chair in front of him while unlocking his enclosure. Arion yet not completely understanding what is going on still knows not to do anything stupid. The chains will instantly hurt him and prevent him from moving, so he does what he is told. Arion gets slowly up and moves to the chair. The moment he sits down the guard is fixating his chains on the chair, so he can't move very much. Now that the guards have ensured that he can't escape they call in the hooded man that bought him. He is walking slowly, even though Arion cannot see his face or anything he gets the feeling that this man is not noone. "Leave us", voices the man to the guards. The guards nod and simply leave without saying anything.

The hooded man walks over to the table and sits in front of Arion. The first things that Arion can perceive are his hands, to his surprise there are a few rings on them. This gives Arion the impression that this person is probably rich or of a higher status. "Hello, half-demon", says the man, to which Arion voices: "I have a name ...". "Excuse my rudeness, but I was told you did not have a name and everybody would simply call you for what you are, but where are my manners. Before asking someone's name, i should give mine first. I am Disilphon.", explains the man. "Arion", answers Arion. "Excuse me", says Disilphon. "Arion, my name".

Disilphon continues: "Now that we know our both names, I would like to continue this discussion or rather explanation on why I came here and if possible make a deal with you. I came here mainly because I received the information that a half-demon is going to be sold. Even though I spend money on you and am technically your owner, I would like to make take a different approach." Arion surprised by his monologue, keeps listening very intensely: "First I would not like you to be a thing, or a belonging however you might call it. I need someone powerful that I can trust". "Oh wow, this sounds useful, and in my favor. If I understand him correctly and if I play my cards right I might be able to get out of this, not as a slave but something like a friend.", Arion already devising a bit of a plan for himself.

"But before we continue this in detail, I shall give my full name, I am Disilphon the Third, King of Ramirion. I need you to be the protector of my daughter and if possible be her friend.", he explains. "Well, if you want me to protect her, these chains ...", but before Arion is able to finish his sentence, Disilphon cuts in: "And this is where the so called deal comes in. We will define here what I will need to provide to you in exchange for your services with what I explained before." Arion is now sure, he must take the initiative and at least get to the point that everything needed for easy survivability is provided.

"The first things that are a must is definitely shelter and food", Arion explains. To the man answers: "There is no need to discuss this, as when I want you to protect my daughter, you must survive as well. What on top of that do you want, so that you won't run away or attempt to hurt us?"' Disilphon asks. "First, I would definitely like access to all your knowledge about demonic powers, there might always be things that I might learn. Second, it would be welcomed if I wouldn't be treated as slave but rather as one of your own. And last I definitely want a weapon, one that I can choose.", Arion proclaims, yet knowing that his last request about the sword is not needed. But he thinks swords are cool and he wants one. "I accept everything, but being treated as one of our own is something that i cannot promise. The moment we walk out of here, you will be branded as a slave, so that everyone can see it. I can tell people to treat you correctly but if they do it or not is not on me afterwards.", Disilphon explains. Arion understands but still thinks in case someone treats him too badly he can simply make use of his powers as his chains will be removed. "And like that our deal is sealed", the man says, and walks towards the door. He talks briefly to a guard. After their discussion he calls in another guard that escorts Arion out to a separate room, where the auction master is. Disilphon pays the price for Arion and receives the key for the chains.
