Dance Partners

She said, "Students, meet him at the school ground. Fast, rush there."

Kevin, lets go fast. We all rushed together and stood in a line.

Principal said, "Students, I have A very Important Announcement. "

The crowd started gossiping about it.

Principal said, "We all know about The Student Of The Year, but the new students have no idea about it. But, this year there will be some twists and turns in it. I want any one of you to come and announce the rest instead of me.

Who wants to come up and help me in announcing it? Miss Eva, Is anyone from your class interested in it?"

Miss Eva said, "Sure sir, I think Cristill should come up to the stage for helping you in this.

So, Cristill please come up to the stage."

What the heck? She... wants me to help The Principal?

Kevin said, "Cristill go fast."

I went to stage nervously when I say Regina laughing.

Regina commented, "She is such a Nerd, how will she speak infront of everyone like this."

I have to prove to Regina that I am able to do this. I went up to the stage confidently.

Principal said, "Cristill, there's the microphone and take this page and announce it."

I said, "First, I want to thank Regina that she is not able of this work so Miss Eva gave this chance to me."

I read out loud, "So, Good Morning to all my teachers and my fellow classmates. This year some more activities are added to The Student Of The Year :

I will announce all the activities sequencely.

The Student Of The Year Competition:

1. Quizzes of all subjects

2. Creative projects

3. Sports

4. Couple Dance

5. Act and play

6. A Group Dance Video

Principal said, "Cristill, let me now give a small description to them."

I said "Ok sir, thank you."

Principal said, "All the teachers will make a group of students for all these. And then The judges will decide the results and will choose any three student from each of the group.

After that we all know that The Dance is most important.

Principal said, "You can choose your partner in it as it will be, students you may now return to your respective classes and find your partners."

How will I get my partner? Someone calls my name from behind. I turned back to see George.

George said, "Cristill, wait for me."

I asked, "Why haven't you gone to your class?"

George said, "Because I have to tell you something."

I asked, "What do you have to tell me? Ok, tell fast or I will be late for my classes."

George: "Will you become my partner in the Couple Dance?"

I was speechless for a moment.I will think about it and tell you afterwards. I ran to my class thinking about it. I went to my class and sat beside Kevin.

Kevin said, "Cristill, as I told you that The Student Of The Year is a a do or die situation and it is more important to me than my life too. Cristill, I think you will be the best partner that I may ever have. So, will you be my partner in the Couple Dance?"

Oh shit Kevin too wants to be my partner.

Kevin asked, "If you need time, you have much time to think? Please think carefully and reply me."

I wonder why Kevin wants me to be his partner for The Dance Competition.

Is that Regina? But what the hell is she doing here? Why did she came here now? I wonder what is she up to? I think she is coming here only. I really don't want to talk to her right now.

I don't think she came here for talking with me. But, why did she stop here?

Regina said, "Hey loser! What are you doing here? And by the way Kevin, why you're sitting with this loser? I thought you will never sit beside a nerd like her. What plans do you have for The Dance Competition?

Why haven't you asked me out for being your partner yet? Are you still too shy to ask me out like you were when you asked me out for a Date?"

Kevin had already asked Regina for a Date.

Kevin said, "See Regina, I don't want to talk with you right now. I am not in such a mood to tackle you. And stop being so rude to Cristill.

She haven't harmed you, Regina. So, why do you want to harm her?"

Regina said, "Just stop protesting against me.

What do she think of herself? See I came here just to inform that today we are meeting at my house. Your Dad is also coming there so don't try to cross your limits just for this third class girl."

Suddenly, The bell rang and Regina went out of the class. Kevin also became silent after listening that Regina will say that Kevin is being rude with her. What should I do now?

I kept my hand on Kevin's hand seeing him upset. Suddenly, he started crying holding my hands.

I asked, "Kevin, why are you crying?"

Kevin said "The Student Of The Year will decide the rest of my life. One day, I shouted at my Dad for being so rude to me, that day I decided not to be with Regina any more. He made me sign a contract according to which if I win The Student Of The Year Trophy. I can live my life according to myself.

But if I lose, he said that he will send me and Regina abroad for studying.The worst part in this will be that I have to marry Regina and live with her the whole life."

I asked, "What, you signed up that contract?"

Kevin answered, "Yes, I did. I was so mad during that time that I signed it."

I think I should not be his partner. It'll only make his problems double.
