Chapter 5 Betrayal

Benson's Mansion

Catherine's hand was shaking as she twists the door knob. When she opened the door fully, the sight before her was unbelievable. She covered her mouth in shock.

Her cousin Chloe is having sex with her Fiance Benson. A tear rolled down her eyes as she yelled. Benson!, but the two on the bed ignored her presence in the room and didn't look her way until they came to an end. Chloe picked up the blanket and covered herself with it then stood up from the bed.

What took you so long?, it took you 3years to find out about our affair, haha. Chloe said sarcastically. You are the most foolish and gullible person I have ever met, just like your foolish mother.

HOW DARE YOU!. Smack, Catherine slapped Chloe across the face, causing Chloe to hold her cheek in pain. Benson saw this and immediately stood up in anger. How dare you slap her!. Smack, Benson slapped Catherine which caused her to fall. Catherine held her face in hand as she looked up at Benson and said with tears threatening to fall.

Benson you slapped me for Chloe?. Shut up!..... What makes you think I love you ?, I never wanted to have anything to do with you...If not fir the stupid alliance between the families and my Grandpa's threats. I only love Chloe and will marry only her. Benson said angrily. So get the hell out of my house, Benson said as he points towards the door.

Catherine stood up from the floor and ran out of the room with her bag in hand.She opens the gate of the mansion and runs out. She ran until she didn't know where she was, when she became breathless she sat on the floor and cried for minutes. She then stood up from the ground as she wiped her tears. But she suddenly felt a dizziness over come her, she tried walking forward but she tripped on a tree root causing her to, hit her head on the floor and passed out.

The moment she passed out a man in a black car came out running towards her and picked her up. Kelvin looked at Catherine and carried her into his car and drove off.

When Kelvin got to his mansion he took Catherine up to the Master bedroom and gently placed her on the bed. Sarah!.... Sarah!,He called out.

Yes, sir. A middle aged maid came running into the room. Call the doctor and get me the first aid. Ok sir, Sarah said as she ran to get the first aid.Kelvin picked up a pillow and puts it at the back of her head to support it. Sarah came back with the first aid and hands it over to him as she said.

Here it is, sir. Kelvin collects the kit from Sarah and opens it, picked up a cotton wool and spirit and gently cleans Catherine's Graze by her elbow and the bruise on her forehead. When he was done disinfecting the her injury he picked up a tube, opened it and carefully pressed the content on his index finger and applied it on her wound.

Kelvin stood up as he was done cleaning her injury, he then turned to Sarah and asked. Have you called the doctor?. Yes sir, Sarah answered. You may leave and take this along, Kelvin said as he hands over the first aid kit to her. Sarah collects the kit and exits the room.

Kelvin then picked up blanket and covered Catherine's body, and re-adjusted the pillow behind her head. He touched her forehead and felt she was running temperature, he then called Sarah.

Sarah....Sarah. Yes sir, she answered as the entered the room. Get me cold water and a towel, he said. Yes sir Sarah said as she left the room and then came back with a towel and bowl of water. Kelvin undid his shirt's sleeves and rolled them up to his elbow level. Kelvin collects the bowl of water and towel from Sarah and place the bowl on the table. He the dipped the towel into the water and squeezed the water out of it then gently placed it on her forehead.

Sarah stood staring at her boss. Who is this woman, Sir has never cared for a woman this much. Have you called the doctor? Kelvin's asked snapping Sarah out of her thoughts. Yes sir.

Just at that moment a tall man with black hair that was brushed back neatly, black eyes with glasses on, having the whole look of an Asian walked into the room with a medical kit in hand.

When did you come back?. The man asked. The first thing you called me for, was work. I'm so heart broken, the man said with a fake heart broken expression. Kelvin who was seated quietly on the edge of the bed, finally spoke.

when you are done blabbering, come check up on her. Kelvin said in a cold voice. ouch!, the man said. he puts down his medical kit and brought out his stethoscope, and checked her pulse. he then moved the stethoscope to her chest. Watch your hand... Don't go far. Kelvin said jealously.

Chill bro, in need to check her heartbeat. The man said. Didn't you check her pulse just now. Kelvin said challenging is words. I'm the doctor here, get that?. But if need be, you can take the role of the doctor and I'll take the woman. The man said with a playful laugh. But Kelvin did not find the joke funny.

say that again and your tongue will be cut out. Kelvin said with a serious expression.
