*Starline mansion*

She was greeted by Rose enthusiastic smile.

Good morning.... Catherine greeted back

Are you free today?...I want to go shopping. Do you wanna tag along.....Rose asked. Thanks, but no thanks. My schedule is tight... Catherine said.

Okay... but come down for breakfast..... Rose said.

Yeah, lemme just freshen up... Catherine said as she closes the door to take her bath.

When she was done having her bath and drying her hair, she went to the closest, picked out a blue jeans, white tank top, black jean jacket, white sneakers and a black face cap. When she was fully dressed, she went to her make-up table, applied light make-up. She curled her long hazel colored hair and left it hanging.

When she was satisfied with her look, she wore her face cap, picked up her phone, purse and car keys and then she went downstairs to have breakfast.

Catherine looked at Rose who was seated on her chair. She went to the other side; sitting further away from Kelvin's seat.

Good morning madam.... .. Sarah greeted Rose with joy.

Good morning Mrs Sarah....Rose greeted.

The moment Catherine was about to greet Sarah,she was greeted by Lana.

Good morning Miss Catherine...Lana said.

Good morning Lana... Catherine responded with a smile on her face.

What would you like to have for breakfast?... You have to eat something, you aren't feeling so well..... Lana said as she poured her a glass of orange juice.

How do you know?.... Catherine asked surprisingly.

Greg told me. He asked me to take special care of you...Lana said meaningfully as she looked at Rose.

I would have toas.... Catherine was unable to complete her sentence when Sarah spoke.

Madam.... sir has missed you so much.... He kept your room locked and ordered no one to open it

Miss Catherine... Let me serve you.... Lana said as she places toasts in Catherine's plate.

Thank you... Catherine said as she starts to eat.

When she was done eating, she stood up, picked up her car keys and bidded them farewell.

Catherine left the mansion and drove off in her car. She stopped the car when she got to the mall. She tooked out her phone and dialed Kelly's number

Hello?..... I'm outside..... Catherine said

Okay.... I'm on my way..... said Kelly

A few minutes later, Kelly came out.

What took you so long? Catherine said as she gets down to hug Kelly. What's up?..... Catherine asked.

Nothing much darling..... that's why I suggested SPA DAY..... Kelly said.

Catherine opened the door to her car and asked Kelly to get in.

Kelly got into the car and Catherine drove off.

The car was stopped in front of a SPA. They got out of the car and entered the building. They were greeted by the receptionist. "Good morning ladies", how may I be of help to you?... The receptionist asked.

We booked for a spa treatment and pedicure....under the name Kelly.... Kelly explained... okay lemme check that out... the receptionist typed furiously on the computer.

Yes..... Kelly Johnson right?..... you booked for a massage and pedicure session. Yes.... Kelly confirmed.

Right this way....the receptionist pointed at a way and went ahead of them.

Kelly and Catherine were taken to the changing room and were given robes to change into.

They came out when they were done changing. They were first taken to the Pedicure section. They were seated down and their legs were kept in leg muscle machines.

They were chatting when a couple came and laid down for pedicure as well.

Long time no see, Catherine.....a lady said

Catherine looked at the person that was greeting her, and to her surprise, it was Chloe. Chloe was with Benson obviously. 😒

Hello.... Catherine greeted.

What are you doing here?..... I mean... this type of SPA is not for people in your class.... Chloe said with mockery in her voice. Did you hook up with a sugar daddy or what?.... Benson said.

I see you guys are now together.... you two look so perfect... you are made for each other.... Catherine said with equal mockery in her voice.

I can see you are living a good life now after sleeping with Benson's uncle... Chloe said with disgust.

The other customers and workers present in the room all looked at Catherine with meaningful eyes.

Congratulations..... Catherine said with sarcasm in her voice.

Your child will look just like you Benson..... She said meaningfully. What do you mean?..... Benson asked as he got angry and was about to pounce on Catherine but was pulled away in time by Chloe.

What was that all about?..... Kelly asked.

I'm in a contract marriage.... Catherine said as she sighed.

Contract marriage?.... I don't understand.... Kelly said confused.

Chloe is my parental cousin and the guy with her is Benson, my ex fiance... our fathers were really good friends for years, and to make the relationship last, they decided to get Benson and I engaged.

Just a few weeks ago, I went to a business collaboration with Benson; where I got drugged by him to please his uncle for the business deal. I broke off the engagement with Benson, but my uncle asked me to settle things with him. I decided to take heed to my uncle's advice and went to Benson's house. His Uncle, Kelvin Black offered me a contract marriage in turn for revenge and my father's company which was in my uncle's possession..... Catherine explained.

Wow babe..... your life is like a soap opera.... Kelly said in amusement. I didn't mean to hide all these from you, I just thought you'd think of me as a mistress and look down on me ..... Catherine said fondling with her hands.

But spending time with you made me realize that I could never find a friend as special as you..... Catherine said.
