Chapter 2: The Wish

"What do you mean I died due to an unfortunate accident!? I have a family, a life, I have aspirations to do amazing things, how can you just take that all away from me!" Robert yelled while tears flew from his eyes, he had long stopped caring about the size of her chest at this point, he understood that he was dead, but it still hurt nonetheless to hear it. And the fact that it had been an accident from a goddess didn't help at all. 

Robert lost all focus after screaming tears still filling his vision, he knew he had lived a short and sad life, but he had truly planned on making something of himself, college was going well for him and if everything went according to his life plan then he would have become a world-renowned scientist in just ten years. But now none of that was going to happen and it was all this goddess's fault.

While Robert was going on about all that he had just lost the goddess quickly walked/floated over to him and put her hand on his shoulder. At first Robert thought that she was going to say something or do something to make him feel better. At the very least he thought she was going to give him a heartfelt apology, but then just like that a white light flashed around him leaving him dazed for a second. When his vision came back into view all he could see was the goddess standing a few feet away from him.

"What did you just do to me?" He asked looking around and then at himself trying to figure it out, he considered himself more intelligent than the average person and thought that he could figure it out without her explaining it, but after spending a few seconds thinking gave up and waited for the explanation.

"I just did something to help you," she said while giving him a smile and a nod while trying to show that she had no plans of going into any more details. This angered the boy to the point that his rage was turning his face a deep shade of red, it took him quite a while and a lot of deep breaths before his face returned to its natural color. This goddess clearly didn't care about him or his interests and if he was going to get anything out of her it was going to be through extreme effort.

"So, what is your one wish before I send you off to another world? Got any particular theme in mind?" The goddess asked, trying to take advantage of the situation at hand. The faster she could get rid of him the better, who knew when another god or goddess might arrive and ruin her plan, if she could get him to make his wish before his mind was clear then she might get out of this without having to do any real work.

"Theme?" Robert asked, showing how dumbfounded he was by the whole situation. His anger now replaced by curiosity, it wasn't every day you got to have a wish granted by a goddess, even if that wish was at the cost of your own life.

"Yes, a theme for the world I send you to, things like dragons, mystical powers, things like that, and if you have a wish you want to accomplish while you're there tell me that as well." She said while waving her hand at him like this was supposed to be common knowledge and that he was in the wrong. The boy could only stare at her dumbfounded while she began to check her nails, changing the color and pattern a few times while she waited.

Then with a smile on his face, he knew what he wanted, he wanted to be a hero, and to have what any great hero had a harem! Sure, it was dumb but if he was going to be forced to start a new life in a new world then he might as well make sure he enjoyed it. It took him quite a while to think through the details and at the time it seemed like a great idea, but he clearly wasn't thinking with his head while going through this thought process. 

"Ya, I know what I want! I want a cat girl harem!" He screamed at the top of his lungs thinking with his dick before his brain. The goddess just stared at him, mouth agape and no words coming out. She knew that humans asked for weird shit when given the chance and had some expectations for what the boy might want but this was far outside of what she had planned for. Anger filled her heart and mind after a second of contemplation, then without stopping to calm down she responded to Robert. 

"You pervert! If that's what you want, then fine!" She screamed her anger flowing out like a river while snapping her fingers, and then just like the same white light filled his vision, it felt like he was getting torn apart for a few seconds. Then just like that Robert was gone from the void and was now staring at floating islands surrounded by a lush green meadow on all sides. Wind blowing and leaves with a blue tint flying past. Just as he noticed this, he looked down finally realizing that while the goddess had transported him to the other world, she had failed to give him any clothes! He stood naked in the meadow looking around to see if anyone or anything could see him in his unfortunate state. 

As Robert looked around looking for people, he began surveying the land around him looking for buildings and anything else that might come in handy, and as he did, he noticed a set of clothes neatly folded and lying near him on the ground. On top of the clothes was a white piece of paper folded and strapped tightly to them using a small amount of rope. Once Robert had gotten the rope untied, making sure not to damage it as it might be important to him later on, he grabbed the paper and grasped it firmly in his hand making sure not to lose it. It took him a second, but he eventually opened it up and read the contents to himself. 

"Dear Robert, as you can see, I have left you a set of clothes on the ground, these will help you fit in with the locals, you wished for a cat girl harem, and I have done everything in my power to help with that. Everything you need to achieve that goal is available to you all you have to do is find it, good luck. P.S. If you say status out loud a level screen will appear, this is common knowledge in this world, I recommend you keep your origins a secret." Is what was written in the letter the goddess had left. While the information was very little and left a lot to be desired it still helped put Robert in a better position than he would have been if the goddess had just dropped him off with nothing. 

"Status," Robert said out loud after taking a second to put on the mud-green shirt and tan, brown pants that had been left for him. A small amount of rage still sat deep in his heart. Once the words had fully escaped his mouth a blue window the size of your average computer monitor appeared before him. On the window was a bunch of information, most of it only detailed how weak he was, but some of it was useful and gave Robert hope for the future.

Info - A perverted male who only wishes, before getting transported to another world to be able to create a cat girl harem! How sad. 

As Robert stared at the information now available to him a rage began to build up within him! It started small and was located with the leftover rage in his heart but quickly grew and grew until he couldn't hold it back. He didn't ask to be transported to this strange new world, nor had he asked to die if he had the choice, he would have rather been at home buying his new computer, talking to a girl online or at the very least talking to his mother. To top it off, instead of being treated kindly for his sacrifice he was condemned and shunned, the goddess acting like he was the scum of the earth because of his wish. No this is not how he would live his life; in these few monuments he swore to himself that he would get his revenge. He would find the goddess who did this to him and he would make her pay for what she did, even if that took him an entire lifetime.
