CHAPTER 9

Y/N'S POV

I liked the feeling of drowning, it reminded me of when I played hide and seek with  Wednesday and Pugsley. At that time my favorite hiding place was a torture box whose interior was full of spikes, I remembered having to hold my breath not to be pierced by these during the game. So the feeling of not being able to catch air and control every exaltation, took me back to my childhood. However, when I opened my eyes I realized that it was a completely different situation.

-Y/N: Enid - I said trying to get out of his grip - Let go, I said no physical contact.

I immediately realized that I was no longer in my animal form, I had returned to my human form. It was normal, maintaining the fox shape required a lot of effort and concentration, so I probably transformed back as soon as I fell asleep. I rolled around in the arms of the blonde trying to escape, but her strength was quite superior to mine. Was that the strength of the werewolves? I liked to think that this creature next to me was capable of breaking my bones if she wanted to, but for my taste we were too close. I had no choice but to use my fangs to bite her arm.

- Enid: Ouch! - she opened her eyes suddenly - What's that for?! - she asked annoyed trying to accustom her eyes to sunlight.

-Y/N: I told you not to touch me, and you had the audacity to hug me - I got out of bed - You almost drowned me - I smirked - It's the only good part.

- Enid: Sorry... You just looked adorable and super soft - she yawned before she started to stretch - You are definitely better than any stuffed animal. I slept very well - she gave me a smile.

-Y/N: - I nodded - My shoulder has healed by transforming into my animal form - I said moving it - Tonight I will be the one to finish you - I said funny - Although for the moment we will have to attend classes.

-Enid: Of course - she got up and walked over to me - and later we have to discuss my reward for having won the bet. How am I going to take the opportunity to do whatever I want with you for a day? - she said thoughtfully - Is there some kind of limit or norm?

-Y/N: How far do you want to take it? Are you going to ask me to murder someone?

- Enid: What? !! No! - she said confused - No violence, please.

-Y/N: Well, you think about it and then you tell me - I opened the bedroom door - I'm going back to my room, I have to take a shower before going to class. See you there.

I walked confidently to my room while thinking about how I had stupidly gifted the victory to the she-wolf. I was going to win the bet if it wasn't because I refused to let her lose and susbtituted her stuffed animals. My God, how low I had fallen. From being feared and respected in my home country, to being a toy of a teenage girl scared of the dark. How had it gotten to that point?

-Y/N: Good morning - I said entering the room - Wednesday... Isn't it a little early to try to hang people? - I said helping to remove the rope from Yoko's neck.

-Wednesday: The bloodsucker says you've been getting intimate with Enid lately - she glared at me - What are you planning? She refuses to answer and that's why I was going to hang her... Too bad you interrupted me.

-Y/N: Stop this nonsense, we have to get ready to go to class - I started undressing - I would like to take a shower. Are you planning on joining me or what?

- Wednesday: What happened to your shoulder? - she said looking at the scars - Where have you been?

-Y/N: Yoko is right, I've been with Enid - I sighed and looked at her - she unintentionally dug her claws into me when we were left in the dark.

- Yoko: Wednesday... I think it's pretty obvious what two teenagers in the dark were doing - smirked - Are you going to keep asking anyway?

- Wednesday: You... Have you done things with Enid?

I didn't understand what she meant by that question, but I just nodded. After all, it was true, since I had joined Neverland I had done a lot of things with the blonde. Chasing Wednesday, having an ice cream, healing wounds, sword fighting, sleeping together... It was funny how I had put aside my most anti-social part to be with her. But I didn't want to give it too much thought, it was too early to think and I needed to take a shower.

In class I spent a lot of time looking through the window and dodging Yoko's endless questions. She claimed that she had the right to know everything I was doing with Enid because she was her best friend. As if I was going to tell her that we were preparing to fight a possible hyde... I wouldn't let the she-wolf get involved and that would make the alarms go off and Wednesday would find out that we were watching her.

-Y/N: Where is the library? - I asked her at the end of the class.

Yoko: Have you ever read a book? - she said surprised - I thought the literature freak was Wednesday.

-Y/N: Tell me bluntly or I'll take off your glasses and let your eyes suffer until they slip out of their sockets - I threatened her.

- Yoko: Calm down, calm down - she sighed - My Mother, how much aggressiveness concentrated on one person. The library is near the Pentagon, you know, where we all hang out.

-Y/N: OK, let's go over there - I started walking ahead of her - Don't stay behind.

We walked to the courtyard where everyone was gathered, including Wednesday, and then Yoko accompanied me to the entrance of the library.

-Y/N: Well, I have things to do. Don't worry if I'm late to the room, in fact take the opportunity to do whatever you have to do with Divine now because then I won't allow it.

-Yoko: - she nodded - But are you sure about leaving Enid so close to Ajax? They were dating until recently...

- Y/N: Oh. So what? When did they break up?

- Yoko: Haven't they broken up? - she asked confused.

-Y/N: And what do I know? Do you see me looking like I'm interested in these topics? I started walking into the library.

- Yoko: I thought you and Enid were... Bah, it doesn't matter - she walked away.

I wandered through the hallways of the room without coming across the damn books about hydes, so I had no choice but to seek help from the librarian. She looked young and was distracted reading her book without being aware of what was happening around her. Scaring her would be so easy... I couldn't control myself when my naughty side came out, so I very stealthily approached the counter without being seen and when she least expected it I came out of nowhere growling. A little childish for my taste, but it was enough to make her fall out of the chair.

-Y/N: Wow, I didn't think it would be a big deal - I approached her - Am I that fierce?

- Girl: Who do you think you are to do that? !! - she frowned - Damn, you almost scared me to death.

-Y/N: You were so focused on that book that it's been impossible for me to resist - I smiled and shrugged - I'm Y/N Addams.

-Girl: - she sighed and settled back in her chair - I'm Brooke Duncan, the library manager.

- Y/N: Duncan? Like the director? - I looked at her in detail and it did look like her.

- Brooke: I'm her daughter, and to promote the good image of the academy they've put me here to deal with all of you to prove that you're not such weirdos - she looked at me - although you've proven otherwise.

-Y/N: It's my fox nature - I shrugged again - Well Brooke - I leaned back on the counter - Would you help me to find some specific books? - I smiled innocently to get her to trust me.

- Brooke: What's the remedy, that's what I'm here for - she got up from her chair - What do you need?

-Y/N: All the books that are related to the Hydes - I said seriously.
