CHAPTER 20

Y/N'S POV

I woke up in a strange house and it took me a few seconds to remember where I was, it wasn't until I saw Enid and Brooke that I remembered what we were doing there. I looked towards the TV and found a black screen, I assumed that the movie had already finished and as expected, I had completely missed it. I got up and removed the sheet with which I had covered myself, then I approached Enid to wake her up so that we could return to the academy.

-Y/N: Enid - I called her but got no answer - Enid - I raised the tone of voice a little - Hey, wake up - I moved her with my hand slightly and then I did get her to wake up - What time is it? We have to go back to Nevermore.

-Enid: Y/N - she smiled and stretched out her arms trying to encircle my neck with them causing me to move away - You're mean, you always do the same - she pouted and closed her eyes again.

-Y/N: Oh come on now, wake up and let's go back - I got up from the couch - I have to read the hyde books so we can start acting and keep the academy safe.

I started to pack my things and grabbed the bag where Brooke had put the books earlier. I turned and rolled my eyes as I saw how the blonde refused to move from the couch. Why did she have to act like a small calf at the wrong time? I took the bag off my shoulders and approached her once more.

-Y/N: Enid, I won't say it twice - I threatened her - I'm leaving now.

-Enid: - she opened her eyes - It's early, it's not even time to eat yet... I had thought about proposing Brooke to order some pizzas - she smiled.

-Y/N: Do whatever you want - I sighed - But don't count on me - I picked up the books again - Goodbye Enid, say goodbye to Brooke for me.

I walked towards the exit and then I heard some footsteps running in my direction, I smiled victorious for having managed to get the she-wolf to listen to me. I turned in her direction and all I saw was how she pounced on me and caught me in her arms. I tried to pull away but her strength was clearly superior to mine and she wouldn't let me get rid of his grip. My eyes widened in surprise as she buried her face between my neck and my collarbone. Was she hugging me?

-Y/N: Enid - my voice came out thick - What are you doing?

-Enid: I just wanted a hug - she said squeezing me closer to her - This feeling is wonderful, even though you are an Addams just like Wedns, this hug feels extremely warm - she moved to look into my eyes - Y/N, you truly are fire.

I stayed silent and waited for her to move away from me so I could open the door of the house and head towards the academy, this time I was accompanied by the wolf. She was jumping up and down as we approached the bus stop as I was just trying to get a handle on what had just happened. I had enjoyed the feeling of feeling trapped and not being able to escape, but to think that it was a hug and that it was with Enid... A warmth was spreading all over my body, maybe she was right and it was fire. It wouldn't surprise me considering that was one of the abilities of my kind.

-Enid: Come on Y/N, it was you who wanted to be on time for lunch at the academy - she smiled tapping on the seat next to her - It's been a fun morning, hasn't it?

-Y/N: Yeah, I guess - I looked at her and narrowed my eyes - But I'm not planning to play board games for a long time.

-Enid: - nodded and started laughing - You don't like losing anything, huh? Next time you will know how to play and the result will be different.

-Y/N: If you say so... - I answered not very convinced - Do you think my cousin is conspiring with the hyde?

-Enid: - she stopped laughing and stared at me - No, it's about Wednesday. She saved us from Miss Thornhill and crazy Joseph Crackstone, and I helped get Tyler locked up. It doesn't make sense for them to suddenly alienate and seek revenge or something - she shook his head.

-Y/N: Wenny dated Tyler for a while. Is that right? - the blonde nodded - Maybe they still have feelings for each other and that's why they are together.

- Enid: Do you really think Wedns is romantic enough to forgive a few murders?

-Y/N: She's an Addams, romance runs through her veins and we love murders and mysteries, so... I wouldn't know what to tell you.

-Enid: Well seen, point in favor of Y/N - she nodded again and gave me a mocking smile - Does romance run through your veins too, Kit?

-Y/N: What did you call me? - I asked confused for the nickname.

- Enid: Oh, it's a diminutive of Kitsune... I thought it would be nice - she smiled and shrugged - By the way, you haven't answered my question.

-Y/N: It's just that the answer is quite obvious, romance is my uncles' thing and that's why it's the way it is for them - I smiled - My parents instead... There is nothing romantic about them, I would dare to say that their love story was just as interesting as a chapter of Dora the Explorer - I provoked the laughter of the blonde next to me.

-Enid: I think you actually have it in you - she pointed at my chest - When you find that special person, nothing can be done about it.

The bus stopped just then, so we got off and headed towards my room to hide the books Brooke had provided us. Before we left for the cafeteria we were interrogated by Yoko, she firmly believed that we were plotting something. And it was true, but we weren't going to tell her.

-Yoko: You're weird, you go everywhere together, you sneak out at night without anyone knowing where you're going, you're hiding things from me - she crossed her arms - When are you going to make your thing official?

-Enid: There's nothing to make official, Y/N and I just get along. Right? - she looked at me.

-Y/N: That's right, Enid is helping me to fully integrate into Nevermore - I smiled - Anyway, I'm quite hungry. Are we going to the cafeteria? I'm sure the rest of the group must be waiting for us.

- Enid: That right, I'm really hungry - she said following me - Come on Yoko, don't want to keep Divine waiting. I found out that you've been punished without pampering for three days for forgetting your anniversary.

- Yoko: How did you find out?! - she said joining us quickly - You really live up to your title of "Gossip Queen".

-Enid: - she smiled proudly - I would make a great journalist. Don't you think so? There is no rumor, news or novelty that escapes me. I know practically everything about all the students at the academy.

-Yoko: I know, I read your blog updates weekly - smirked - The one I liked the most was the one you did about the second Addams.

- Enid: Ahhh... That update is rubbish, I didn't even know Y/N well - she looked at me nervously - Don't mind her, it's Yoko's nonsense.

-Y/N: Have you written about me? - I asked intrigued - I would like to read it.

- Enid: Are you sure? I'm just talking nonsense - she said, biting his lip nervously - If you're still thinking the same thing after lunch, I'll show you.

-Y/N: Okay - I smiled.

After having lunch in the cafeteria with the rest of the group, Enid came to my room with her laptop so she could show me the blog with the entry she had written about me. I didn't think it was too long, so I decided to read it before I got with the hydes books. The saying "curiosity killed the cat" took on all the meaning in the world as I read what the wolf had written about me. "A girl with a mysterious air but who inevitably catches your attention", "genius of verbal attacks as well as handling weapons" "The most powerful of her weapons is the penetrating gaze with which she threatens to see you to the soul". Why had she written that kind of stuff without even knowing me? !!

- Y/N: Enid...

- Enid: Can we avoid talking about the subject? - she avoided looking me in the face - Wedns told me that I was actually telling truths, although she wanted to tear his eyes out because it was obvious that I was writing it from a personal point of view.

-Y/N: When is the item from?

-Enid: I wrote it after we ate that ice cream together - she smiled shyly - I was left wanting to spend more time with you and decided to do an article about you. Obviously now I would have a lot more information to add, but oh well... I'll write about it when we get to know each other better.

-Y/N: - I nodded smiling - I guess if you need information for the article, you can ask me directly and thus have the information first hand.

- Enid: Would you do it? - she said surprised to see me nod my head - Why?

-Y/N: I think... I like you writing about me - I acknowledged - Besides, the rest of the students will know not to bother me or I'll end up with them.

-Enid: - she smiled pleased with the answer - Fine, then I will arrange an interview with you the next time I want to update about you - she approached me - Although there are details that I want to keep between us.

-Y/N: It seems fine to me - I said holding his gaze while having a smug smile.
