Chapter I
After my touching first meeting with my Father, the head butler, Sebastian, seemingly appearing out of nowhere, interrupted my father's rambling.
Sebastian was a tall, slim man around 60 with a full head of grey hair, small circular glasses adorning his nose, narrow but kind brown eyes and a glamorous lumberjack beard. He looks handsome for his age... With a name like Sebastian, and him being a head butler, I bet he's the type that's somehow good at everything while saying, 'It is because I am a Butler'.
"Ahem- Excuse me, my Lord, as happy as I am that the Young Master has recovered, I humbly suggest that you return to your work." Sebastian said, as he bowed to me. What a diligent guy.
Rayleigh looked over at Sebastian with a slight pout and furrowed brows. ... Does he think that's cute? Sorry, but that only works with girls, Father.
"... I suppose you are right, Sebastian-san... I need to sort the rest of the reports, and another one for this dragon attack to His Majesty." Father said with a sigh while looking dejected. It's nice to see Father serious about his work.
Father then looked at me, and said, "Well, Roland, we can talk later. For now, you must continue resting. We want you in top shape tomorrow, as your rambunctious little brothers and your older sister were worried sick about you. You'll need your energy, as they'll probably want to talk to you all day."
I nodded in understanding. Looks like my my family really cares about me. I'm glad that's the case.
"Yes, that would be for the best, Young Master. Sara, please escort the Young Master to his temporary room." Sebastian said as he smiled to me and continued, "And Young Master?"
"Yes?" I said questioningly.
"It is good to see you in good health." He said with a kind smile while bowing slightly.
"Ah, yes, thank you, Sebastian-san." I answered, scratching my cheek with a finger. Everyone is so kind, I'm touched.
"Let us go, Roland-sama. My Lord, Sebastian-dono, I shall see you later." Sara-chan said with a bow to each of them.
"Ok, Sara-chan. Goodnight Father, goodnight Sebastian-san."
I gave them my farewells, and followed Sara-chan to my temporary room.
Sara-chan headed to the main entrance hall and towards the stairs. It seems my room is on the second floor. Nice. I hope there's a veranda.
"We have arrived, Roland-sama. This will be your temporary room until the Left Wing completes it's maintenance." Sara-chan said politely. Huh? Now she's speaking in polite language? What happened to her cute casual way of talking?
"You don't have to speak so politely to me, y'know? If your uncomfortable speaking casually infront if others, you don't have to force yourself, though." I said with a slight smile.
"A-Ah, If that is what, Roland-sama orders, then I will." Sara-chan said while blushing. Man, she sure is cute.
"If Roland-sama needs anything, just call my name and I'll appear in under 3 seconds! I'm confident I'll hear you within 100 meters!" Sara-chan continued as she bragged. 100 meters? What is she? A hawk? I guess she's just that attentive of me. She seems to like me, but I just hope she doesn't turn into some sort of yandere. Ughh, I don't want to be killed while hearing, 'Roland-sama is mine forever! HeHeHe~!", while she stabs me with a toothless crescent moon smile on her face.
"Okay, Sara-chan, thanks, I'll be going to bed now, goodnight." I said while under my delusions.
"Have a goodnight, Roland-sama. I will wake you in the morning for breakfast." Sara-chan bowed and left with a smile.

Well time to hit the hay, I guess. I'll go through my status before bed though.

Let's skip the name and age, those are self explanatory.
Let's start at 'Race'.
I try tapping the word 'Race', but nothing happened. I guess an extra screen telling me more information won't pop up. Whatever.
It seems I'm a Half Elf. So cool. I try touching my ears and low and behold, it's slightly elongated and pointy. Feels good when I touch it too. Of course it is... It's a trope when it comes to female elves in other isekai stories to have sensitive ears for the sake of it's so called 'plot'.

Moving on.
Title. I'm kind of off put by this one. Why am I a 'Useless Bastard'? My family seems to love me, so they wouldn't call me useless. Unless it's one of those settings where a title is given after a certain amount of people start calling someone a nickname. Did Roland do something before I got transmigrated into his body? I wonder...
Well, whatever, I'll deal with that later.
Next, Class. I have none. Great.
Neeeext, Level. It seems pretty low. I don't know what the average is in this world, so I have no frame of reference, and I also don't know what the requirements to level up are either. That's okay, I'll just ask Sara-chan tomorrow.
... Does anyone else have a status too though? I hope so, it'll make figuring this all out much easier, after all.
Next is HP and MP. This one's confusing also. I mean, I get that HP is my vitality, and MP is either my mental points or magic points, but why is the MP in question marks? ....
Is it the situation where my MP is so vast that it can't be calculated even by the system? Hopefully that's the case. Being overpowered in this world will allow me to enjoy adventuring after all. Yes, of course I'm going adventuring, who wouldn't when they go to another world?!
Moving on, my stats. Again, I don't have a frame of reference, so these numbers are meaningless to me. Intelligence seems pretty high though. Maybe.
Abilities are up next! These and the Blessings are the only ones with explanations under them. That's good.
Ultimate Learner sounds very useful, very good, much OP.
Great Stamina is pretty self explanatory. Useful in all situations, really.

Ahem-, anyways, Unlocked Potential. It also sounds OP, but what's my destined class? Going by my title, will I be a hermit crab or something? This ability sounds great though, maybe it'll make me level up faster once I get this 'destined' class?
Next is Blessings. It's quite a good one. Once a week I get to survive a lethal blow. Does the damage get invalidated? Or does it reduce my HP to one? If it's the latter, I'll definitely need to gather some adventuring buddies to bail me out if I ever get my shit kicked in.
Lastly is the mysterious Message. Oooh the suspense is killing me. Let me guess, it's a message from whoever brought me to this world.

Wow. Ooooookay. So I get why I came here and it's very nice to know that my family is still happy despite me leaving, but come on! I'm supposed to be a hero?! I don't want these responsibilities! I just want to adventure leisurely! Isn't that mission supposed to be handed to some Japanese dude who gets summoned by some country?! 'O Great Hero, please kill the Demon Lord for us! Feel free to take my daughter's hand in marriage! And build a harem if you want to!' and the Hero would then say, 'Hai?' and proceed to build his harem along the way to the Demon Lord's castle.
Well, I guess it's not too bad, at least I have a strong goal in this life. It's not so bad being the Main Character. MC's happen to have high luck when it comes to girls, after all!
