Every day a new area would be burning down to flames and hundreds of people have already lost their life, they slaughtered the nobles living near those areas, there families, there assests everything was burned and crused...yes they even cursed those areas which is why no one could touch them and at the end there body would be eaten or decomposed by animals and insects.
