Chapter 46

Lich saw there was a glowing box on one side of the arena. After standing in it, a countdown appeared along with Blaze in a similar box on the other side.

"Hey loser! It was your bad luck that you got put against me first round. If you want I can give you a few seconds to summon your puny undead so I can have more fun with my barbecuing!"

'I hope you actual believe me, since it will be harder for you to dodge if you are summoning.'

Lich was anxious if he would be able to fight the person if they were nice to him. But seeing how this guy started off with calling him a loser he felt happy. Though he was a bit mad.

[Match Start]

"Taste my fir-"

*Bang*

[Match Over. Lich Wins!!!]

"...that was it. What a loser, he didn't even prepare the Movement Path so he could dodge. Maybe they start me off with the weakest Champion and I work my way up?"

Like the confused Lich, Blaze was also confused.

"Why the fuck did he have a gun?! He didn't even summon anything. Don't tell me gave up on summoning undead. He is the Lich Champion, there is no way he gave up necromancy. Wait, did he not use the sacrifice build? ...Ancestor? Why aren't you taking?"

Instead of his Ancestor responding, he received a notification.

"Dammit Lich, I will get my revenge!"

After yelling out loud, he hurried to send out what he learned about Lich to the Group Chat that the 1000 Champions were in. The only one not in it was Lich as no one helped him to find the feature or added him to the group chat.

Then he sent a message to one of his closer friends. The Water Champion.

"Alvis he uses a gun instead of undead for some reason. So you need to immediately put him in a water orb and drown that bastard!"

The first thing one notices about Alvis was he seemed like an all-wise scholarly type. He is normally dignified when talking to others. Though when talking to his friends, his scholarly aura falls apart once he opens his mouth.

"What do I get in return hot stuff?"

"I already told you I am not gay so stop flirting with me!"

"I'm not flirting. You are the Fire Champion so you are hot stuff. Well and ap-"

Before Alvis could continue Blaze got mad and started to yell.

"Dammit stop! If you beat him I will go out with you to eat okay but nothing else!"

"A date with you? Sounds good and later we can see what happens when two Incubuses ha-"

Blaze ended the call.

Alvis sent in a fight request to Lich and started to talk with his Ancestor.

"Ancestor can I drown a Lich? Or am I just going to lose?"

"Worried about your date not happening? Well as long as he doesn't have the 'Fish' Path as a Stat Law he will drown still."

"I just like teasing Blaze, he isn't my type. I like my men more mature. So I win if I catch him in a water orb. If he can breath in water I just die."

...

In the arena a tall looking scholar appeared. His hair was sea green and his eyes were blue. While his clothes didn't seem to contain any paths, his glasses and ring seemed to hold his power.

[Count Down 10....]

"Sorry Lich, but I can't forgive you hurting my friend. I won't go easy on you."

"That is fine, just put up a challenge. Your friend was way to weak."

As the match began, Alvis pointed his finger at Lich. Then the next thing Lich noticed was he was in a giant orb made of water. The pressure of the water made it hard to move but he already moved the gun enough to aim close enough to Alvis.

"Stupid guy, before the gun aims at me I can just move. To bad you can't hear me, and even if you could it doesn't matter."

While Alvis was feeling smug, Lich pulled the trigger. As the barrel wasn't aiming at him, Alvis didn't move. But he was startled as the gun was so strong that Lich was launched backwards out of the water orb when he shot.

While Alvis was thinking about his next few steps, he felt a pain in his head and then he was in the challengers locker room. Then Lich let out a sigh.

"He did a bit better but he doesn't seem like a fighter to me."

Alvis was sitting in the locker room feeling melancholic. After he was informed of the sealing away of his Ancestor he started to try and cheer himself up.

"Of course I lost. After all half of my Paths are just so I can be water transport for my friends. The next person he was to fight is our powerhouse after all."

Alvis looked over his Paths. Water, Ring, Orb, Kraken, Glasses, Swimming, Sailing, Surfing, Diving, Submarine.

Before he went and did his fights he gave Lich's next challenger some hints from the fight. However her answer told Alvis she probably won't win either.

"A Lich using a gun? I will just smash his face in with my shield and get an easy win. Later Alvis, make sure to tell Blaze I want BBQ to celebrate my win!"

In the Challenger's locker room was a tall muscular woman. She had brown hair and green eyes. She was the Champion Of Earth, Baldhart Earth.

The reason that her brain was all muscles and she thought she was unbeatable was her Paths. Earth, Shield, Spike, Minotaur, Boots, Guard, Football, Knight, Gym Rat, Mutant:Juggernaut. If she wasn't an Earth elemental she might of replaced it with the Tank Path.

From the way she acted, it would seem she didn't have a Ancestor talking to her. However it seemed Lich wasn't the only one to be different from their Ancestors. The Earth Ancestor seemed to make Earth Golems and focused his fighting on that.

Once she learned her ancestor was a 'nerd' she never spoke to him ever again. She treated his words like garbage and her ancestor even hoped she lost so he could be sealed away.

Like the first two matches, Lich's challenger came in yelling at him instead of trying to talk. He started to wonder if during his blank memories he was an asshole to everyone. Or if it was just like how the message was. He was supposed to be the big bad and everyone else is trying to be the hero who kill him.

"Are you ready to be turned into a pancake shorty?"

Looking at the woman in front of him who was only a few inches taller than him, Lich smiled.

"Finally a fighter! Sorry if it feels like I am trying out my attacks on you, it is just i finally have someone sturdy and slow to hit."

Right before the timer ended, Baldhart smiled and said one word. "Slow?"

As the fight began she started to charge over at Lich. By the time Lich was aiming at her, she has already crossed a third of the distance. Lich shot his gun 5 times at her to not just damage her but increase the distance from the gun moving him back after each shot.

"You think your gun is strong enough to break my blocking? Dream on!"

However she realized her mistake and had let go of the shield and jumped away. She watched in horror as her shield was ripped apart from 5 mini black holes.

"What the hell! How is that a handgun?! I don't rememeber them being able to shoot black holes."

Putting the gun away Lich looked her way. Popping his neck and knuckles he beckoned her with his hand. Seeing him provoking her, she got pissed and charged over with a tackle. Dodging her tackle he started to swing at her.

Seeing Lich actually wanting to fight up close, Baldhart laughed. She throw her right leg forward hard enough to spin her around. Now her kick will connect before Lich's Punch would. Right before her kick connected, Lich ducked and turn his attack to an Uppercut.

Baldhart started to scream as her leg was torn apart and covered in acid.

"Next time you should cover your whole leg in Earth. It might last long enough for you to be in more pain." Lich started to laugh manically until he felt Earth Spikes shoot from the ground and pierce his legs.

"Next time don't gloat and just kill your enemy." Baldhart responded back sarcastically before she was shot in the head and the match ended.

"Fine no banter then. I didn't want to do it in the first place." Lich said with a somber voice.
