Chapter 12

Finding the coin slot at eye level of the mountain of skulls, Lich felt a chill in his spine. "So I have to walk into the fountain. If this was outside and I saw this, I would run so fast. However I have to put the coin in."

As Lich put the coin into the fountain nothing happen. "Huh, did I think wrong? I thought they would pounce on me." Lich was proved right when he turned around. All 10 zombies pounced on him and dragged him into the ground. The hooded figure on the mountain of skulls began cackling, or at least it felt like it did.

When Lich woke up he was in a bedroom fit for a king. There was a butler standing still till Lich looked at him directly. "Hello Master. I am a humble servant left here to help make sure your stay here is perfect. There is no one better to teach you then the late master. So no schools are needed as he left enough notes and materials. I will also bring all the things needed to you. Follow me to your lab."

What the butler said made sense. No one could teach better then the Ancestor. So his notes will be better than anything another person could teach.

Lich has already started his lessons in his lab.

[Lesson 14 Necromancer's Shovel]

[Necromancer's Shovel: A shovel used to dig for undead. No need to bring a whole army with you when you can dig some useful fodder from the ground.]

"So I can use this to summon undead and then use it as melee weapon still. But it doesn't say if i need to be at a grave site or if just digging anywhere is fine. But I am surprised that I still only need to make a million of these. I thought since that puppet guy had to do a trillion at the puppet place I was going to hate being here."

[Necromancer's Knife: A knife used for ritualistic necromancy. Stabbing a living target in the heart will turn them into a undead under your control.]

"If this works as long as the knife punctures the heart while they are living, then using this while fighting in a group I can throw this at someone in the back and maybe get a kill or two off."

[Necromancer's Flag: Using this flag, a necromancer can bestow all active Laws to the undead under there control. Laws can stack. Must be a necromancer to use.]

"Too bad you have to be a necromancer to use. If not I could just have all my undead spam the flag and be over powered."

[Necromancer Moose: A moose who is willing to learn how to be a necromancer. It will also help in all rituals so it can learn to be a better necromancer.]

Staring at the moose in front of him Lich was confused. Do I need to teach this one moose to be a necromancer and summon 1 million undead or do I need to teach 1 million moose to be necromancers.

After getting the moose to successfully summon an undead Lich got his answer. The moose left and another moose came into the study.

"...fine can more come in?" Thankfully it was possible. The max that could learn at the same time was 10.

[Lesson 360 Necromancer's Hands]

[Necromancer's Hands: This skill allows the necromancer to summon 10 pairs of arms to come out of the ground and pull a target into the ground.The skill by itself can not cause damage. However if the target does not fight back they will suffocate in the ground.]

[Suffocate (0/1mil)]

The experience of using this skill was horrifying.

As soon as the skill hit the target dummy, all of Lichs senses and soul were transmitted into the dummy. He felt everything and could not fight back since the dummy couldn't move in the first place. After a bit the dummy came back up and Lich was back in his body. Dropping to his knees he started to cough while holding his throat.

"Dammit, I have to keep doing this or I will be stuck here! Round two let's go!"

[Lesson 424 Necromancer's Wolf]

[Necromancer's Wolf: A wolf who is to weak to get any good meat from hunting with the pack. However since it was always left with just the bones and enough meat to survive it had a idea. Skeletons will not fight for meat with it. Necromancy is the only way to go.]

"So I have to teach some puppies to make some friends to help hunt. This should be easy I hope."

[Necromancer's Banana: A banana cultivated with necromancy. It holds enough energy to allow a necromancer to double the amount of zombies underneath them for a hour.]

"So most foods just increase certain parts like time in use, numbers, strength and etc."

[Necromancer's Burger: A burger a necromancer made using an undead to make. Increases all stats of undead under the control of the necromancer for a hour.]

"I hope a finger doesn't end up in the burger or that will be disgusting."

[Necromancer's Raft: A raft powered by undead. Half skeletons line the raft with paddles in their hands.]

"So I have to make the skeletons, then make the raft and fuse them into it? Why can't they just stand on the raft. So much work."

[Lesson 851 Necromancer's Bathhouse]

[Necromancer's Bathhouse: a bathhouse self ran by undead spirits.]

Lich open up a box that had a bathhouse as art on the front. Inside there was plastic sleeve with lots of random parts. "It seems like I have to cut them out and put them together. Making a model bathhouse. Why is the water also plastic? It better be real when I use it cause I do not want to bathe in melting plastic."

[Lesson 909 Quest: Necromancer Greet]

The butler at this time walked into the study.

"For this quest follow me. The ones you need to greet are at the graveyard."

Arriving at the graveyard, Lich thought cause of them being necromancers they were just hanging out there. But he soon arrived to a place empty of people and only had a million gravestones.

"I guess the greet is more of a sentimental thing this time."

Going up to each gravestone, Lich wiped off the small bit of dust that collected on them. Even though he didn't know any of them, the small portraits on the graves all looked familiar.

"When I got the update for the system, you were all there. Thank you for giving up on all of your lives and blessing me with your powers. I will not fail any of you. Granted I do not think I could because y'all never asked me to do anything haha."

"That is almost everything master. One last thing, this note."

Sitting down, Lich started to read the note. It turned out to be from the ancestor.

"To whom it may concern, I will leave all my powers and belongings to you. Granted, to pass it all down I had to devalue everything and make you do a lot of tasks. But in the future you will be happy you were chosen, maybe.

Anyways, once you enter the F rank you will receive a body and soul power up. The body power up will be an active ability called 'Lich Body'. It will allow you to push your body and laws to the extreme. However you will start to rot. But that is what the soul ability will be for. It is a passive ability called 'Lich Soul'. It just makes your soul immortal.

But do not let it get to your head and think you cannot lose. To make it more fair, the people in charge of your server decided to only allow one revive per rank in a fight. If it wasn't for the fact they wouldn't let the one I pass my power to in the server if I didn't agree, you would be able to infinitely revive.

They pretended that taking away the penalty for death is a fair trade off, but there is no one besides me who will be able to break apart your soul. Anyways last thing. I do not know how that grumpy little kid who created the system treated you or said to you but I only want one thing from you. If you do this I do not care what else you do. Just have fun. If anyone tries to tell you what you want to do is wrong , they are stopping what I wish for you and they deserve to die. My wish for you is simple, but also hard."
