Chapter 43: Red Stick Otis Quinn

Yusuf Zuck, Blair Larson's security guard and a young man in his twenties, waited in the parking lot after speaking with Samuel Ross on the phone. When he saw Yusuf getting out of the car followed by Ross and Cooke, he knew the man walking in front was the "friend" mentioned by Brother Ross.

"Which floor?" Yusuf asked briskly as he approached Blair.

Blair sized Yusuf up and nodded, "Seventh floor, room 707."

"Thank you," Yusuf replied softly and continued walking inside.

Ross and Cooke didn't stop either. Blair followed them, whispering something.

Blair didn't follow them upstairs; he just saw Yusuf and the others into the elevator. It wasn't that he was unfaithful, but he didn't want to get involved in this matter.

He and Samuel weren't close enough to take a blade in the ribs for each other.
