CHAPTER 5: A NEW BEGINNING (1)

'And…' before his dad could say anything else the space they were in started to rumble…

'I guess the time was a little short than what we had expected' Kiera said.

'Yeah, we also have to arrange somethings for him' Theo adds from the side.

'Well I think it's time for us to say goodbye son, just be safe for the time being and follow the arrangements of the uncle who you will meet outside.' Theo says and raises his hand, from which an ethereal light comes out and it speeds towards Leo's head.

Leo tries to avoid it; however, it still comes into contact with his forehead and drills in to it, vanishing from his sight.

Leo calms his heart down, as he almost had a heart attack thinking that after they had such a good family session his parents immediately decided to send him to the heavens.

Seeing his son's expression Theo lets a laugh out and adds, "I have imparted to you the necessary memories you need to know son, be sure to stay safe."

Alas, Leo could not hear anything, as he is already unconscious and is already going through the all the memories that Theo had imprinted into his head.

Leo suddenly felt dizzy when the light entered his body and now, when he finally begins to regains clarity, he saw that he was in a space that is enclosed in darkness, question marks began to pop up in his head (? o ?) ? ?.

Did that cheap father of his really send him to the afterlife to reincarnate again after not seeing him for so long?

Suddenly all the darkness was gone.

Now he was in a different place that is surrounded by tall trees and a bunch of colorful bushes and weeds and some type of unknown plant species.

Leo is seemingly confused. He thinks to himself 'I'm pretty sure I didn't do any drugs… right? Alcohol really should not cause me this much delusions.

While Leo is still thinking, he hears some noise coming from near him that does not sound human friendly.

Why? Because it is practically sounding like there are bombs exploding in his surroundings.

He stops thinking and tries to start using his goddamn feet, to run for his merry life.

However, no matter how hard he tries to move, he cannot even take a step forward.

As he has no control over his body he suddenly starts to float and is jerked hard towards the direction from where the noise is coming from.

As he is moving towards that direction, he again almost got a heart attack seeing how fast he is moving through the air, And starts patting his chest "Calm down bro, you're not the only one whose scared shit". Then he notices that he is in a special state… like that of a ghost and his hand passed through his chest.

Leo was silent; he really wanted to cry out loud "My heart is too weak for all of this, For god's sake kill me for once and for all, don't keep me in suspense any more'.

'Never in my 20 years of life did I ever imagine that I would ever experience so many emotions (The deadly kind) in one day.'

As Leo gets out of his reverie as he, notices there are two distant shadows approaching him rapidly, as he takes a closer looks he realizes they are also humans and he can even vaguely see another 8 shadow like figures chasing after them.

As he looks at this scene, he feels like Déjà vu.

Is this not what his old had just mentioned a little while ago?

Him and mom being chased by eight other people?

However, then scene that was playing out in front of him, just did not make any sense.

All these people were flying in the air at speed that is more than what any car could go at, almost comparable to jets.

"Hey, even I want to become a portable jet" Leo's mind wanders into unnecessary topics again.

Theo and Kiera were going as fast as they could.

As Theo turns to looks behind him, he could still see eight people chasing after him and Kiera.

He could not help but feel despair after thinking about who the people chasing after the both of them were.

Both Theo and Kiera were one of the top geniuses in the Heavenly Dao family and had reached Ascension realm before the age of 100.

But even they both couldn't escape from the siege of 8 top-notch Nihility realm Lords.

While escaping they also had to dodge from incoming attacks from the eight Nihility realm Lords, as they could be injured by any one of them alone, moreover there were eight of such experts working together right now.

They have been going on for the past 5 days without any rest, Theo could not still understand how they could have found their trail after he used one of the life saving methods he had from the family, which could even destroy all their trails and aura left behind.

Theo and Kiera still could not find any way to escape from their pursuers; they both knew that they did not have to worry about their lives, as even if they are somehow caught they would at most be used to ask for a sum of resources from the family.

However, they now also had to worry about their newborn child.

If he is also caught who knows what might happen to him.

(Special mention to the part about him being killed and his parent's memory being erased)

Both Theo and Kiera were exhausted and only have about 20% of their Elemental energy left and know that they probably cannot go on for long before they are captured.

Theo and Kiera both looked at each other at the same time and if they both had made a decision, they stopped at the same time, landed on the ground, and started to eat recovery pills in a frenzy to recover their Elemental energy.

They both knew it was their final confrontation and with those eight people hot on their trail they could not escape for long.

Theo is still thinking for a way to leave their child in a safe place where he could at least grow up, but seeing the tall trees and surrounding forests he knew it was hard to find a settlement in the middle on nowhere.

Even if he did find someone here he still had to at least get to know the other party, to know that he could entrust him with his only child, that he would be taken care of, and live well in their absence (Theo and Kiera).
