Hmm!

Something is wrong with the stone!

Dumbledore who sensed something with the enchantments he had placed on the Mirror of Erised.

He got up from his bed and after magically changing his pyjamas to robes he apparated to the said chamber.

Everyone thought that Apparition was not possible in Hogwarts but as a Headmaster he had the privilege to do so.

What he found after was simply an unsolvable mystery.

The stone had been lying in front of the Mirror of Erised with no apparent reason.

Could it be that his enchantment had expired before time?

Don't Think so!

He had the elder wand on him and it currently had recognised him as it's owner.

There was no way that his enchantment could fail with such inaccuracy.

He saw no intruder yet this event had occurred.

He placed the stone back into the Mirror of Erised and reset the enchantment.

After some pondering he proceeded to check other rooms and found the signs that someone had entered the trials.

Unfortunately, he had not placed enchantments on them as he did not want Quirrel to run away with the Dark lord.

Even the dark lord would not be able to apparate in this castle so where on Earth had the mysterious intruder vanished!

Then he apparated to check on Quirrel.

Yes!

He was sleeping soundly!

It seemed that the intruder had used some rare magical methods.

Could it be a time turner!

But who?

Dumbledore went back to sleep that night with many theories that would shock even the wizarding world if only they knew.

Neville had not been able to set up his Hyperbolic Time Chamber yet as he planned to initially do it in the Chamber of Secrets but the only way to get in was to use Parseltongue.

He could not possibly drag Harry and tell him to hiss open the Damn entrance, could he?

Also Dumbledore would have been on the lookout for the culprit who broke into the trapdoor.

He did not think that he would be able to hide himself forever from Dumbledore but he wished to have more strength before facing Dumbledore.

Anyway the Hyperbolic Time chamber's matter could rest for now as he did not think he would be able to handle the ten times gravity for now.

Wizards had stronger physical talent than Muggles but even then they would be crushed in front of ten times the gravity and the lack of oxygen eventually.

He was just a eleven years old little boy at the end of the day.

He would probably have to take the Super Soldier Serum before he could survive in that place.

Neville had no interest left to devote to his friends' discussion about Quirrel.

In the weeks that followed the Quidditch Match he seemed to be getting paler and thinner but he didn't look as if he cracked yet.

Snape was still in his bad temper, so got them it meant that the stone was still safe.

Neville didn't know whether to laugh or cry when Harry started giving him an encouraging sort of smile whenever he net him and Ron started telling people off when they laughed at his stutter.

Hermione, however, had more on her mind than the Philosopher's stone.

She had started drawing up revision time tables and colour coding all her notes.

Neville supposed that perhaps it was Hermione's influence that issued his current mission.
