Area 354

Team Lich was riding on an m113. The driver was Martin and the gunner was Justin. Olive was the sniper on their team in case they needed heavy backup.

Ernest wasn't with them as he was still being "Interviewed" back at site-17.

"So what's actually happening?" The Lich was sitting on the back, it was cramped.

"We're heading out into northern Canada. Apparently an scp was spotted there." Said Justin.

A jet fighter flew past them as everyone looked up in surprise except for Kennedy.

"What's a jet fighter doing all the way out here?" Said Olive.

"Nu-7. A big anomaly was spotted, and we're going to meet with the rest of Pandora's box at FOB." Kennedy rubbed his hand, the cold was starting to get to them as they finally entered the forest.

The Lich didn't feel anything, he just looked up at the trees covered in snow. Their m113's tracks left a huge mark on the snow as it was left behind and would eventually be buried later by the heavy snow.

"Scp 7000, you good?" Asked Kennedy.

"Fine. How far are we" asked The Lich.

"A few kilometers, about an hour or so till we get there. You know what FOB means?" Kennedy replied as he lit a cigar.

"Forward operating base. Ernest wouldn't let me go until I memorized the entire manual and files."

"Ah, well. That's Captain Ernest for you, always strict and organized."

Kennedy tried to light the cigar, but it died in the midst of the cold wind. He tried again but it wouldn't light a single fire on his lighter.

"Here, let me help." The Lich cast a small fire on his fingertip. It was green and small, but the cold wind didn't kill it.

Kennedy raised his eyebrows in surprise, then he extended his cigar's tip on the green fire. It smoked as the tip finally burned a little bit.

The Lich turned off the fire and just watched as Kennedy blew a smoke to the top.

Olive jerked back. Avoiding to inhale the smoke.

"Sir, smoking isn't allowed in working hours." He said, covering his nose with his palms.

"Sorry, Olives."

Surprisingly, he tossed the cigarette off the m113 and Olive thanked him.

On the way, they were silent. Mostly busy trying to keep themselves warm as the more time passed, the snow seemed to get heavier. They had trouble trying to cross some paths, as logs would sometimes block them, but The Lich made it easier by disintegrating the log when he jumped out.

The forest kept on stretching, and the snow was relentless. Justin even thought they were in an endless snow forest brought upon by an scp.

He was starting to blabber about some weather controlling SCP. It made everyone uncomfortable.

"Justin, calm down. It's been 46 minutes, and we're almost there." Said Kennedy.

"I doubt it, there's definitely a new anomaly around these forests, I can feel it."

"... Did you read the file before we came here?"

"No, why?"

"Northern Canada isn't famous for sunny days or warm days, Justin."

"Eh? No wonder."

Everyone stayed silent until they arrived at the FOB. Big tents and trucks parked on the side. A wall surrounded the entire FOB guarded by Delta-4 and Zeta-9 operatives.

When their vehicle approached the gate, the guard asked for an ID. Kennedy flashed his ID and let them through.

Justin was happy, he could finally take shelter in one of the tents to get heat.

They parked the m113 and Kennedy led them to a big tent. Scientists and MTF's were hurrying back and forth to whatever task they were assigned.

When they entered, there was a long table at the center and long chairs at the side. At the right chair, they could see five Delta-4 operatives and one of them wearing a helmet. His visor was dark so it was impossible to see what he looked like.

The Lich wondered how he could even see at this time of the night. As they left earlier at about 8:36pm.

'They probably left earlier than us. Otherwise he wouldn't be wearing that helmet.' he thought.

"Team Lich, good for you to join us. Please sit. We started without you but I'll summarize shortly later." The major said at the end of the table.

The entire people inside the tent looked at the team who had just arrived. Kennedy was feeling nervous but told his team to sit at the vacant space at the end of the tent.

When they say down, they saw the other Omega-7, and the one that stood out the most was a tall brown skinned man with black tattoos on his body. A sword was strapped behind him and a metal collar on his neck like him. The Lich knew who this was just by looking at him.

'Oh, it's Able[1], well I'll be damned. I forgot he's actually part of the force.' he thought.

Team Lich's attention shifted to a shorter woman, she was wearing a blue jacket and has blonde hair.

"Is that a fucking kid?" Whispered Martin to his team.

Team Lich turned their eyes at the blonde girl, she noticed them and felt incredibly uncomfortable. The Lich somehow felt like she was familiar, but when he looked at the people near her, he knew who they were.

Renard, Thomas[2], And Mr. Gustav. The referee that he remembered back at the gym wasn't here, it was a different person and it was a woman. She was stunningly beautiful too.

"That's definitely a kid, Mart. What the hell is the foundation thinking."

Kennedy punched Justin to his side, to which he groaned.

"Shut it. They can hear you." Kennedy said in a low voice.

Justin looked around, and sure enough, everyone was looking at them. He felt ashamed.

But their attention quickly shifted to the tall entity, he had a mask and collar around his neck like Able. They wondered why there was an scp, and the Delta-4 operatives knew who this was since they were part of the team that extracted this scp.

Everyone was discussing about the scp, and the other party was talking about the kid.

"Okay." The Major said.

The hushing had ceased, everyone focused on the Major.

"I'll summarize it for the late Omega-7 Operatives."

'We aren't late. We just had a couple of road blocks since no one even told us the right path.' thought Kennedy, but he didn't want to act superior than the Major so he stayed silent.

"A large arachnid entity has been spotted far from here" The Major pointed to the map laid on the table and Team Lich leaned in. "These are instances of 354, and they have been designated as -11 and -D. Instances of 354 are -A, -B, -C that escaped the zone of control. It's believed that -A is the one producing these small arachnid instances, if we kill -A, it might stop producing them. At least that's the theory." The Major added, "Don't worry, Zeta-9 Mole rats have already mapped out the cave system. Any questions."

Kennedy raised his hand, "We haven't really been informed of who we were going to be with. Who's the SCP's we're gonna be working with?"

The Major raised her eyebrow, "Who's your team leader? I thought they would have informed you by now."

"He uh, he's still back at the site. I heard He's still being Interviewed." He replied.

"Well, that's SCP 076-2 Able, he can manifest swords out of thin air, don't ask, we don't know how. And he's strong." The Major pointed at the blonde girl, "That's SCP 105, Iris Thompson. Its abilities are basically any photos taken by a Polaroid camera becomes somewhat of a portal. Again, don't ask how. You'll be accompanying Team Iris. Any more questions?"

No one replied.

"Alright," The Major said, "Let's move out."

[1]: I just realized I've been spelling Able wrong for the last previous chapters, I'm sorry for that. From now on its Able instead of Abel.

[2]: I also realized I made a naming mistake in the previous chapter, replaced Thomas with Rikku. Now he's just Thomas. Again, I apologize. Won't happen again.

I'll be double checking the grammars and errors from now after re-reading my chapters. And also, I've been inactive for a while, because I've been heavily researching for a proper plot, the ending has already been decided, and honestly, I don't really know how long this fic will last, at the start I originally wanted to end this in two months and 50 chapters, but after getting a positive feedback and few criticism, I got motivated. This might end at 100 chapters so I apologize if it's too short , if you don't like to read it now it's fine. And for the cliffhanger I'm terribly sorry, this will be the last time since I have to stop writing until 6pm tomorrow. My brain is stressed after our exam, and I've already planned the next chapter. So it will be published tomorrow night.
