Chapter 9

-[Kaito]-

Looking at the notifications, Kaito was stunned to his core. 'Please tell me this is a joke.' He desperately hoped despite now knowing it wasn't.

He turned to Tsunade who had a similar look of rage, not stopping Jiraiya as he charged at the injured Danzo.

"Can someone explain what's going on?" He asked as in a moment, ANBU rushed into the tower.

"Lady Hokage! What happened?!" One of them asked.

"All of you, apprehend Danzo immediately." She ordered.

Kaito could almost feel their shock but they were quick to adjust, immediately rushing out to capture Danzo who was attempting to escape Jiraya's barrage.

As much as he trusted the ANBU to catch him, he didn't want to take any chances. Forming a hand seal, he disappeared from the office, appearing at the roof of the tower at his marking on Jiraiya.

He'd just barely managed to mark Jiraiya when he was being dragged to the Hokage tower.

"Kid, what are you doing here?" Jiraiya questioned in controlled anger that was aimed at Danzo.

Looking forward, he saw the target of Jiraiya's anger a few meters away from them, panting and heavily injured. The area where the rasengan hit him was twisted nastily, the rest of his body filled with bruises.

"I wanted to make sure he didn't get away." Kaito answered as he pulled out a kunai.

At that moment, numerous ANBU landed on the roof, just barely catching Jiraiya and Danzo's attention but that distraction was enough for Kaito who threw the kunai towards Danzo.

With his injuries, he was only able to just barely dodge it. Unfortunately for him, that was what Kaito wanted. Appearing behind the man with the kunai in hand, Kaito grabbed Danzo's neck.

Just as the man struggled, Kaito teleported back to his marker on Jiraiya.

"Yeah you're Minato's son alright." The white haired man muttered, seeing Kaito's use of the famed technique.

"I placed a marking on him. He can't escape anywhere." As much as he wanted to kill Danzo and spare himself a lot of headaches, he couldn't do that for a number of reasons.

"Danzo! What do you have to say for yourself!?" Jiraiya questioned.

"You're a fool. All I do is for the sake of Konoha!" Danzo screamed as he went through hand seals. Before he could complete it, Jiraya was in front of him landing a hard kick to his face.

Danzo was old. The main reason he managed to last against Sasuke was due to his constant use of the Izanagi. With Jiraiya not even giving the man a chance to make the seals to activate them, he was as good as dead.

He also couldn't use Kotoamatsukami, the ability being in cooldown after its failure against Kaito. In the end, Danzo stood no chance. He was apprehended with numerous chakra suppression seals and a number of ANBU constantly watching him.

Kaito was now back in the Hokage office with Jiraiya, Tsunade and Shizune.

"What are we going to do now?" Shizune asked, breaking the silence.

"If Danzo could go this far, there's no telling what else he's been hiding. I'm ordering an investigation to uncover anything and everything." Tsunade said with a heavy sigh.

"And what about…" Shizune trailed off as they turned to Kaito.

"This is a mess. Kaito, do you understand what's going on?" Tsunade asked the boy.

"Partly. From what has occurred so far, it appears I'm the son of the late fourth Hokage." Kaito answered, playing the part of a confused child.

"Damn right you're his son. Damn that Danzo! You practically look like a male version of Kushina but your personality is all Minato." Jiraiya said as he scrutinized the boy.

"Thank you?" Kaito said in a way that was more questioning than appreciative.

"The question is; how are we going to tell Naruto? Team Kakashi is currently out on a mission." Tsunade asked, prompting Jiraiya to grin widely.

"Leave that to me!"

"Naruto? What does he have to do with this?" Kaito asked in 'confusion'.

A serious look appeared on Jiraiya's face at the question. "It has everything to do with him. From what we knew at the time, you disappeared from the hospital a few days after the Nine tails attack all those years ago. The village was under lockdown for a few months but nobody was able to find a clue." There was anger bubbling in the man's voice.

"Now we know Danzo was responsible. According to the medical ninjas, you were born with a weaker constitution than Naruto so sealing the Nine tails within you wasn't an option. Danzo probably saw his chance and took it."

Kaito was in thought, trying to digest all of it. That was a big change to the history that he was aware of, a very big change.

"In conclusion, you and Naruto are brothers. Twins actually." Tsunade summarized.

"I see." He put on a thoughtful look before looking up again. "So what is going to happen now?"

"We'll have to wait until Team Kakashi comes back to introduce you both but in the meantime, we'l-"

"Tsunade, are you out of your mind!?" Tsunade was interrupted by an elderly male voice as two people barged into the room.

"What did you do to Danzo?!" The elderly female asked.

Kaito instantly recognized them as the other two elders of Konoha, Koharh Utatane and Homura Mitokado. They were two people who had more power in Konoha than they logically should.

"I'm not sure what you mean. Would you care to elaborate?" Tsunade questioned, her tone serious and unshaking.

"Release Danzo at once!" The man ordered.

"If word gets out, do you know what kind of rumors would sprout?!" The woman added.

"I'm simply punishing him for his crimes? As a matter of fact, how can I be sure that you're not allied with him?" Tsunade asked, a certain pressure filling the room.

"What crimes are you talking about? You're delusional." The woman seemed convinced that Tsunade had gone mad.

"I'm talking abou-" She was interrupted as another voice came through the destroyed wall.

"Is this a bad time?"

Her eyes twitched in frustration at the constant interruptions. It was only after she saw Yamato's head peep through, that she calmed down in realization.

"If you're here then…" she trailed off, confusing Yamato as Naruto also peeped through the hole from behind Yamato.

"Why is there a big hole in grandma Tsunade's office?"
