Chapter 22 Is This Fate?
While Nolan slept, he found himself enveloped in a joyous dream where he was reunited with his mother and sister. The sheer happiness of the moment brought a radiant smile to his face, one so genuine and beautiful that it seemed to light up the dream itself.
However, reality crept back in as the sun began to rise in the east, its rays gradually illuminating the dimly lit classroom. One by one, the students inside started to stir, waking from their own slumber as the room filled with the soft, warm light of the new day.
Nolan also woke up and skillfully tucked his pillow back into the cube storage bookcase. It wasn't a matter of skill, really, as he simply placed the pillow back where it belonged.
His movements caused his new friends to stir as well. Seeing that Nolan was awake, Eric took it upon himself to rouse his two friends, who were still sleeping as if there were no tomorrow.
