Into Skyrim, Elder Scrolls 8 Nirn's Beta

So to begin, this is technically a skyrim fanfic. Why isn't it in the fan-fics then? Simple! It's based on a game and I don't feel that counts as a fan-fic. Second, I've read like a few skyrim stories here lately. I liked them, as a bethesda fan boy... Well, now I need to take a crack at it. I literally start a new game of skyrim every new year. Its my tradition, so I felt I had to do this. If its bad, ah well. If its good, GREAT! Overall though, I feel we need more skyrim based stories or fan-fics. It has the perfect setting for the transmigration genre. Now read at your own risk.

A Hip Bone

Dervenin was the old man i was looking for, you'd think he was easy to find with his black dyed eyes and mad rambling. In original skyrim he would wander the Bard's College. However clearly I couldn't find him. The noble's district was much bigger than I thought. The whole thing was on a hill and the Bard's college was not where I thought it was.

I rubbed my head in thought. I saw a guard walking past and I reached out. "Hello? Have you seen an old man named Dervenin around here?"

The guard scoffed, "That old beggar? Why are you looking for him?"

I sighed, "You know how he rambles about a master? Yeah, I know who that is. Let's just say it's a well known criminal and I need Dervenin for finding the guy." I paused and laughed, "I want the bounty."

The guard nodded, "Fair enough. Pretty sure he sleeps just behind the Proudspire manor. Fair warning though, if you get robbed or die hunting down whoever this master is. The Solitude Guard won't help you. We have our hands full enough."

He was about to walk off, but that sounded like a quest if I ever heard one. "What kind of trouble are you facing? I'd love to help for some coin."

He looked at me and sighed, "As you know the war effort is one said problem. If you join the legion you get a pay stipend. Second is the black bloods who keep raiding ships entering the docks. If you learn something about them you can report it to one of the guards or Captain Aldis. He is usually training outside the Castle Dour. Finally, near the Castle Dour there is a bulletin board which a bunch of rumors are posted. Captain Aldis made it for bounty hunters like yourself."

Interesting... I smiled, "Thank you very much."

He nodded and walked off. I made my way toward Proudspire first. As I walked I checked my quests.

I found Dervenin Sleeping in a couple of bushes. I grabbed a stick and poked him awake. "Huh? Master is that you?"

I shook my head, "No, I'm not Sheogorath. However I can go get him from the Pelagius wing if you give me the hip bone."

His eyes widened, "You know master! Of course, Of course here is the bone. It is the key, you absolutely cannot enter the wing without it."

I gave a nod, it wasn't the key to the wing. However it was to mind dimension thing you go to. I looked at the madman. "I can't get it done right away. However know I will go get your master by the end of the month."

He nodded, "Of course, he gets so distracted with his pet projects as he calls them. I wish you luck! I am just gonna sleep some more, nighty night."

The mad man rolled over and went back to sleep. I rolled my eyes slightly, I would've offered him some gold, but I didn't want my golden Atmora's to raise any questions. I'd rather save that reveal. I'll come back though and give him some septims so he can stay in the Inn once I have some gold to give.

I looked at the hip bone.... Wait, how the fuck. Where did he pull this from? How was he storing this shit? Where would I store this shit? I paused, where is my gold stored? I looked at the hip bone and just put it into my pocket. It disappeared and I sighed. So inventories worked as expected.

I over thought it since my dagger and other things that were listed in my inventory were directly on my body. I opened my journal and was greeted by the new quests. Lights out updated to include finding evidence against Jaree-Ra and I also gained the quest Mind of Madness.

I thought for a moment. The journal had 3 main tabs. Quests, Profile and the Map. However there was a gear icon that indicated the system settings. I never really clicked on it. So I opened the system settings and found some interesting things. I could turn on system notifications. I could customize the journal colors. What I frowned about though was system organizations.

This was why you always check system settings. I sighed and clicked on the organizations. I made three new tabs. To be more precise I separated three tabs from the profile tab. I created the skill trees tab, the Stats tab, and the most important the inventory tab.

I opened the new created inventory tab and clicked on the hip bone. I popped out and into my hand. Once I confirmed I could just take things out of it, I pushed the hip bone back into the inventory tab making it disappear.

I sighed, "Let's just go check out the bulletin board."
