Chapter 86: Last night of midterm holiday

Bai Yi Yang start cooking at 6.00 pm. Her siblings helped her too, well, actually it was just Bai Yi Chen and Bai Yi Ling, the two just help with messing around.

Bai Yi Yang make the stock for seafood boil, she also add prawn stock in it to make it taste better. After that she add the vegetables then seafood. After they were cooked, she put them aside. Then remove some of the boiling water and start making the sauce. After that, Bai Yi Yang dumped the whole thing into the big pot and stir it before pouring it into a big tray.

Her siblings gather and smells the small mountain of seafood.

"So fragrant!!" The two small foodie clap their hand

Bai Yi Yang ask Bai Yi Ling to scoop out small amount of rice for them before giving TongTong a few shelled out prawn, clam flesh, squid, potatoes and corn. She didn't give much crab meat because it is too difficult to shell.

Bai Yi Yang and her siblings also start to eat. It was really delicious, there is sweet and salty mixed, a bit tangy from the lemon. As expected, everyone except Bai Yi Chen didn't touch the fat crab, because they don't know how to eat it.

So, when Bai Yi Yang is 3/4 full, she took scissor and start removing the crab shells. She is very good at it, she is automatically good at it, even she herself is amazed with her skill. Bai Yi Chen look at the messy crabs bit next to him and see his siblings and TongTong picking out the crab meat cleanly. The flesh all come out, only leaving the empty shells.

"You eat this." Bai Yi Yang put one crab on Bai Yi Chen plate. Bai Yi Yang also eat one at the same time. Their dinner time is a bit long this time because they have a lot of food and it was quite difficult to eat them.

"Crab meat is very delicious. Can we eat crab meat again later?" Bai Yi Fang eat the last bit of crab meat on her plate.

"Yeah, we can. Next time we can cook it in other way." Bai Yi Yang said. Bai Yi Fang clap happily and stated her opinion on the crab meat delicious taste, when she said some words that is unsuitable to her description the older one often correct her, that's why her vocabulary is quite good.

After a fulfilling dinner, Bai Yi Chen clean up the messy table. It cannot be help, eating seafood boil has always been messy. Bai Yi Yang ask her siblings to take a bath and do the laundry.

They have a fixed schedule of doing laundry which is Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, these three days. This was established by Bai Yi Yang because their school rule is that they will wear formal school uniform on Monday, and the rest of the days is the school tracksuit suit. They all have one pair of formal school uniforms and 2 pair of school tracksuit. As for the old one which doesn't fit their size properly and look a bit old, Bai Yi Yang planned to donate them later. There are always people who will need them.

Bai Yi Yang wait until the laundry finished washing and transfer it to the dryer before she went to take a bath. When she come out from the room after changing, Bai Yi Ling is already tidying up the fresh laundry.

Bai Yi Yang went to the kitchen to prepare the three children snack packs that they will bring tomorrow, she remember the children complaining about Zhou Zhu Yao food, if it is too terrible, they can just eat the snacks and suffer a bit. As for Bai Yi Ling, well, just let her bring snacks to school bah. She and Bai Yi Chen doesn't need one. They only need bottled water.

Other than that, she also take an empty container and filled it with the puppies formula milk, then put one measuring spoon in it, write an instruction and feeding time and glue it to the covering. This is for the puppies, as long as someone can read, they can easily make it. That Zhu Yao jiejie will be able to make it.

After that she returned to the living room, Bai Yi Chen and Bai Yi Ling is arranging their school bags, they transfer their books from the old one to their new school bag.

Bai Yi Yang bring out the purchase from the bookstore and hand over the dictionary to Bai Yi Mo and Bai Yi Ling. She gave Bai Yi Mo the children book and let he look it through with Bai Yi Fang.

"This is mine?" Bai Yi Ling look at the thick and bigger dictionary. She saw a similar one in the tuition centre, but some of the students only have the one like Bai Yi Chen have.

"This is more complex, more words content and explanations. You like learning English so this will be useful." Bai Yi Yang said.

"En, thank you jie." Bai Yi Ling said.

"This is for the two of you. Each have two colouring books, 1 exercise book, you can share the picture book and storybook." Bai Yi Yang said this to the two children. After looking through they immediately put them into their backpack. They planned to being it to the village tomorrow.

'How about me? What am I doing tomorrow?' TongTong ask.

'Your body can sleep at home and follow me or you can stay with Xiao Mo and Fang Fang. I will ask Grandma Zhou to feed you.' Bai Yi Yang said.

'No, I rather eat a lot in the morning, follow you and let the body sleep until you came back.' TongTong said. TongTong also fear the children p's description of Zhou Zhu Yao's cooking.

'Alright.' Bai Yi Yang agree. TongTong may look like a kitten, but it can manage on it's own, unlike the puppies who need arrangement.

"YangYang, don't forget to bring all the homework. We need to hand them over tomorrow morning." Bai Yi Chen remind her twin sister.

"Okay, got it." Bai Yi Yang also enter her role as a good student and start arranging her homework. She also open her notebook and see the schedule tomorrow and bring the necessary textbooks. She sigh, she is really back to school again.

Actually the schedule for their school is quite okay, since most students stays far from home, which is mostly from the surrounding villages, their lunch break is only 1 hour unlike other school which is 2 hours, which means they can end their school session early and return home at 4.00 pm. But that is still a lot.

She is not an idle person, she have many things that she wanted to do, how can she stay still at school until 4.00 pm, from 7.00 am to 4.00 pm. That is too long. Well, the previous Bai Yi Yang stayed until 6.30 pm for evening session so that is really something else.

Of course Bai Yi Yang doesn't think the knowledge intake is too much, it is just that she think it is wasting her time. Tomorrow, she is going to tell Mr.Ling about quitting evening session. Evening session has always been option in their school, which is after 4.30 pm, the compulsory education time is only up to 4.00 pm.

Their school has shorter evening session, which is only 2 hours, from 4.30 pm until 6.30 pm. It is actually a self study session but their homeroom teacher will be staying in the classroom with the students, so the students can ask questions.

Their class is the 1st class in their grade, they got Mr.Ling as their homeroom teacher who is also their Mathematics teacher. So the studious students like it very much because they can ask him a lot of Mathematics question during evening session, that is including Bai Yi Yang.

However, there is also a lot of student who don't join the evening class. QiYing High school is not like other High School in big cities where the students have busy working parents. QiYing High School is a small town school where more than half are children of farmers, that have long tradition of helping their parents at the field. But of course there is still people like the previous Bai Yi Yang from the village who is willing to stay back, in fact quite a lot especially the one in the class. They won't be top students if they didn't study more than other right?

Bai Yi Chen is one example of student who leave early, Mr.Ling understand their family situation, so he allowed Bai Yi Chen to leave early. What more, out of the two twin, Bai Yi Chen is higher by a few ranks compared to Bai Yi Yang. This proves that he have an ability.

"Ge, when I talk to Mr.Ling tomorrow, you must support me alright?" Bai Yi Yang said.

"YangYang, it's fine if you don't quit evening session, we can manage now." Bai Yi Chen said.

"No thanks. Ge, you can see how much my mentality change now, I don't like studying that much anymore." She laugh.

"Eh, Xiao Ling has evening sessions too right. You can join them now if you want." Bai Yi Yang said. Bai Yi Ling is also like Bai Yi Chen, she didn't join evening session previously too, that's because she is in charge of most of the housework before.

"Yeah. Our school also have, until 6.30 pm. Same with the high school." Bai Yi Ling casually answer. Bai Yi Yang asking them these questions like she didn't know anything that happened before is common to them siblings now, it's like someone push a reset button in Bai Yi Yang's brain. She become excellent in many things but she also become clueless about a lot of things.

"Then, do you want to join?" Bai Yi Yang ask.

"No, my homeroom teacher is a PE teacher. He always said that we must spare at least one hour of the evening session for PE. I like studying on my own too, the kids in class also like being noisy." Bai Yi Ling said annoyingly.

Bai Yi Yang almost laugh when she heard this complaint. Well, Primary School students really should play a lot, it's just that this is Bai Yi Ling she is talking about.

"Alright, then don't." Bai Yi Yang said.

Bai Yi Ling school is just next to them, of course they are separated by tall walls her school is called QiYing Primary school. However, they are not using the same bus, they have different stop and gate. They can't even meet during break, it was like two different worlds. Making Bai Yi Yang a bit worry. After finished arranging their school bags and uniforms, she helped to choose come changing clothes for the two kids, Bai Yi Ling remind her about this. Their Zhu Yao jiejie will help bath them in the afternoon she said. Whoever this Zhu Yao jiejie is, Bai Yi Yang think that she is an angel.

"Angel?! She is a tigress! Jie, you know she will scold us if our clothes get dirty, force us to drink water.." Bai Yi Mo said. Making Bai Yi Yang laugh. Isn't that exactly something that a mother will do? She is an angel okay, for treating other people children sincerely like that.

There must be a behind story, why would a 28 years old single lady have the patience to take care of two naughty children. The only connection they have is that she is their mother's cousin on the mother side.

"Ge, did we pay them for taking care of Xiao Mo and Fang Fang?" Bai Yi Yang ask.

"No. The Old Zhou family scold me because of this, they say it's enough if I give enough rice for them to eat. If I insist, then they won't take care of them two." Bai Yi Chen said.

It's confirmed! There is a behind story, Bai Yi Yang thought. Since it is like that, then she will just treat the Old Zhou house nicely too.

"Tomorrow we wake up early and come to Old Zhou house earlier, we need to drop off Cookie and Oreo too. Xiao Mo and Fang Fang may not know what to say." Bai Yi Yang said. Actually, she had wanted to pay a visit to Old Zhou house this evening when they went down the mountain, but they haven't returned from Uncle Zhou's house in town. They usually return late evening according to Bai Yi Chen, sent by Uncle Zhou.

"Okay." Bai Yi Chen said.

After that, they all returned to their room early, before 10.00 pm and went to sleep. Bai Yi Yang also didn't play with her mobile phone, she immediately went to sleep too.
