Chapter 61: After a busy day

It already passed 5 pm, no wonder Bai Yi Yang is feeling a little hungry. She plan to cook early, they will eat dinner early today. After entering the kitchen, Bai Yi Yang unbox the pressure cooker and she is amazed with the expensive and modern looking design.

"This is s rice cooker?" Bai Yi Ling who stayed with her ask.

"En, let me teach you." Bai Yi Yang first remove the inner pot and measure the rice, she fill in the water according to the instructions, then put it back inside before closing it. Then she plug it onto the socket.

"You see this rice cooking button, just press it and it will cook on it own." Bai Yi Yang said. When she press the button, the pressure rice cooker immediately notify that it has start cooking.

"It talked?" Bai Yi Ling was amazed.

"Yeah." Bai Yi Yang said and head out of the kitchen.

"Jie, if it already cook, which button should I press?" Bai Yi Ling panic when she was leave there alone.

"No need to wait. It will stop cooking on its own, the concept is similar to washing machine. You do your things." Bai Yi Yang said. She head to the farm to take some vegetables.

Todays she is making stir fry Chinese sausage with leek, egg drop soup and stir fry big pepper. These are the things that she can make with the vegetables that they have at home. She quickly pick enough vegetables and also pick some chives in advance, she is going to cook it for breakfast. After washing it, Bai Yi Yang put the chives into fridge and proceed with cooking.

Bai Yi Ling is still in the kitchen, she don't dare to leave the rice cooker. Bai Yi Yang smile but she let her be.

After finished cutting the vegetables, now she taught Bai Yi Ling how to use the stove. Bai Yi Ling was shocked when the fire suddenly come out. She wasn't big enough to learn cooking and there were no need for her to do so while their parents is alive, so she is quite new with this things.

"Easy right, wanna have a try?" Bai Yi Yang said. Bai Yi Ling timidly come forward and try to light up one stove. And as her sister said, it was really easy.

"You watch me cook for now. Then you can also cook on your own when you are tall enough, or you can use a stepping stool later." Bai Yi Yang said.

"See, I can adjust the fire, this is strong..this is weak.." Bai Yi Yang demonstrate.

"There are no smoke too. Jiejie, I like this much better." Bai Yi Ling comment.

"En. Alright, for now you just watch me. This is frying pan, can be use to stir fry and also to fried egg. This is a soup pot, if you wanted to make soup in the future, use this pot. There is smaller pot if you just want to boil egg. And you know how to use a steamer right? This is the simple thing you can use for now." Bai Yi Yang explain.

Bai Yi Yang then pour some oil into the frying pan, when the oil is hot she put in the sliced Chinese sausage then let them cook until golden, then she put in the sliced leek. The smell is very fragrant, even Bai Yi Ling lifted her feet to look.

Just when Bai Yi Yang is cooking, the rice cooker notify that it has finished cooking. Bai Yi Ling immediately come over to look.

"You open and check it if you don't believe." Bai Yi Yang smile. Bai Yi Ling press the open button and saw the plump white rice.

"So fragrant" Bai Yi Ling said.

"Alright. Go see if the two are back, then go take a bath early today." Bai Yi Yang said. Bai Yi Ling nod and return to the Main house. The children is really back, they are playing with the puppies now at the corridor.

"Take a bath." Bai Yi Ling said and enter the house followed by the two children.

Bai Yi Yang finished cooking before 6 pm. She immediately start serving and call her siblings to eat.

Bai Yi Fang and Bai Yi Mo who is wearing new clothes saw the fridge and they head over immediately. When the fridge is opened, they exclaimed excitedly.

"Wahh! So many food." The children said.

"Eat dinner first. After that you can have some." Bai Yi Yang said.

They all are hungry since they didn't eat lunch, so they ate a lot. The rice is also finished. While Bai Yi Chen was washing the dishes and putting it in a small basin, Bai Yi Yang found a problem, she need to make a drying rack next to the sink. She can put this in her checklist later. Bai Yi Yang stayed in the kitchen some more to cut some fruits for her siblings.

"Ge, tomorrow can you go to the supermarket? We hadn't had fresh meat for 1 week now. All of us can't go because there will be no one watching the house." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Alright, you write down what you need and I will go buy them." He said.

"One more, can you go to the warehouse and take pictures of the wall sticker that is available? I just want to have a look for now." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Alright." Bai Yi Chen agree.

After that, Bai Yi Yang bought the fruit to the living room for her siblings then she went to take a shower. Since her siblings is also wearing new clothes, she also wears one with a short. Her 4 siblings look at her when she come out of the bedroom and after that they immediately turn their head, except Bai Yi Fang who continue to stare at her.

"Jiejie has become so beautiful." She said. Bai Yi Yang laugh, she never look at herself carefully since she wake up, so she didn't know how she looks like now. But it won't be so bad, her siblings is all good looking, she won't be that bad.

"Fang Fang is pretty too." Bai Yi Yang said and go pinch her younger sister's cheek.

Tonight, they didn't stay outside for long since they all are feeling sleepy, especially the children. They return to their bedroom before 9.30 pm.

Of course Bai Yi Yang didn't immediately sleep, but her two sisters fall asleep not long after that. She need to make a list of things that she need to ask Bai Yi Chen to buy. Most of it is meat, she read through the current price of meat this few years, it is very cheap, even mutton and beef which is usually expensive is less than 20 yuan, pork is less than 15 yuan and chicken is only 10 yuan per kg.

With this price, she can buy a lot of things to stock up their fridge. When they return to school later, they will be very busy on weekdays to stock up the grocery. So this is a good time to stock up.

She is not a big fan of mutton but since she is a Level 2 cooks, there are a few mutton recipe in her head that seems like worth a try, so she list down 2 kg of mutton as a trial, she is not very confident that her siblings will like the special smell of mutton.

Next one is beef, beef is easy, she can cook a lot of things with these, western or local recipes so she easily write down a few different cuts for a total of 5 kg.

Then there is pork, the most common dish that is frequently cook, something that her siblings is really familiar with. She wrote 3 kg of pork belly, 2 kg of baby back ribs, 2 kg of spare ribs, 1 kg of tenderloin and 2 kg of lean meat.Then, 3 whole chicken, a whole duck.

There is a fresh farm product shop in the town, they sold a lot of commonly found meat, Bai Yi Yang search about this place in the internet. The reviews is all good, so below the list of meats, she wrote down the shop name, let Bai Yi Chen bought it from there.

After that, she wrote 1 kg of mackerel, 3 kg of prawn that cost more than 30 yuan per kg and 2 kg of squid. When the wet market is open every Sunday, there will be a lot of fresh seafood ingredients, she saw it last time but it was a bit inconvenient for her then since they don't have a fridge.

Bai Yi Yang didn't ask Bai Yi Chen to buy anything from the supermarket since she is going to place an order tomorrow, it's just that she wasn't a big fan of meat from the supermarket, it is better to have it directly from a butcher.

At the end of the list, she didn't forget to add egg tart 15 pieces. Bai Yi Yang was satisfied when she saw her list, which she forward to Bai Yi Chen.

Bai Yi Yang scroll through social media, news, entertainment before she decided to stalk Bai Yi Chen social media. Well, there weren't much, only pictures that he was tagged by his classmates. Bai Yi Yang only recently open her social media, so her friends are also those that she meet this pass week.

She went through their class photo and the tagged list.

When she return to school, she can't continue not to know them. They might look at her weirdly.

Bai Yi Yang went through one by one in her class who has social media, well, not everyone has a social media it seems, but more than half of them do have.

Some of the memorable name who is active in social media are Mo Yi Ru, the girl who post this class picture and tag everyone. She is very active and post every 2-3 days, she post about her daily life, going out with friends, family, food and so on. In the comments section, she seems very witty and cheerful.

Then there is also the pretty girls like Roxy Lee, Ling Yi Meng and Wang Qing. These three is the most noticeable and has many followers than the other. Then there are also a few active boys who play games such as Chen Chi, a football fan Xu Du Yi, a heartbroken boy Wei Li Jie.

The other is too inactive like Bai Yi Chen or using their childhood photo.
