Chapter 29: Earning money with selling mushrooms again and eating KFC

"Jie! Jiejie!" Bai Yi Fang called from afar and behind her is Bai Yi Mo. Bai Yi Yang and Bai Yi Ling who is working look up.

"Why are you two running? You may fall!" Bai Yi Ling scold.

"Uncle Sun is here…gege ask us to call jiejie over." Bai Yi Mo answer as he catch his breath after running.

"Oh really…alright..let's go back together. Xiao Ling, it's almost lunch time, let's continue later in the evening." Bai Yi Yang said. Bai Yi Ling is also tired so she didn't reject. The four siblings return back to the house together.

The two small one was playing at the village when Boss Sun came with his car, he remembers the two children and ask them to bring him to their house. That's how they returned to the house by riding Boss Sun car, the bicycle was placed in the truck. Bai Yi Mo told this story with enthusiasm, they never ride a 4 wheel drive car before, it was a novel experience.

"When I grow up, I will also buy car like Uncle Sun.." Bai Yi Mo declared. Bai Yi Yang only listen to the children conversations as they head back. As expected, there is an additional car parking in front of their house.

"Yatou…these mushrooms of yours is really good quality..I will buy all of these, my restaurant will have some face in the future." Boss Sun said as soon as he saw Bai Yi Yang. He is already looking at the mushrooms, Bai Yi Chen is besides him.

"This batch Boss Sun can have it all.." Bai Yi Yang said smiling. Boss Sun laugh and continue to comment on the goods.

She put down their tools in the garage and went to clean her hands. When she look around, there are actually a lot of changes already. Seems like the works is almost done on Uncle Duan side.

By the time she came out, Boss Sun has already weighed half of the goods, wrote some notes while talking with Bai Yi Chen. He already weighed the Matsutake mushrooms earlier on and put it in his polystyrene box, now his worker is weighing a few sacks of dried mushrooms.

Boss Sun then came to chat with Bai Yi Yang, he stated the dried mushrooms pricing such as Morels 2580 yuan/kg, chanterelles 2350 yuan/kg, wild shiitake 40 yuan/kg, ear woods 90 yuan/kg, lion's mane 420 yuan/kg, bamboo mushroom for 220 yuan/kg.

As for the fresh mushrooms, Bai Yi Yang only pick the Matsutake mushrooms and some common one, she planned to give it away to the workers later but Boss Sun also want to squeeze some out for himself, so Bai Yi Yang just sold it for 20 yuan/kg to him. This was meant to be gifts for the worker but Boss Sun still want a huge quantity of it, so Bai Yi Yang agree to sell.

After 15 minutes of counting and weighing process, the Matsutake mushrooms came out to be 2.35 kg, the other fresh mushroom is 3.6 kg. As for the dried mushrooms, they looks a lot but it wasn't very heavy, the big sack of morels is only 4.2 kg, ear woods 5.3 kg, chanterelles 1.8 kg, wild shiitake 1.3 kg, lion's mane 2.7 kg and bamboo mushroom is 1.9 kg.

Boss Sun show all these weights to Bai Yi Yang before asking his two workers to put it into the truck. As for the polystyrene box of Matsutake mushrooms, it was put in the passenger seat. Bai Yi Yang invite Boss Sun to sit in the kitchen as the workers put the goods on the truck.

"Sorry Boss Sun, we only have boiled water." Bai Yi Yang said as Xiao Ling served the glass of water. Boss Sun wasn't polite, he took a big gulp of water.

The siblings house looks quite old, and it seems to be undergoing renovation, he can understand about things like this. He feels more sympathy to them, 5 siblings without parents, living on their own in this mountain. Luckily their sister is capable, if not, then don't know how they will survive in the future.

"No problem. When you finish renovating, you must invite me to come over. I will bring my children and let them play in this courtyard with your younger siblings." Boss Sun said. Bai Yi Yang can understand Boss Sun meaning, this is letting their family become closer. Maybe he pity them orphans.

"What more, stop calling me Boss Sun..call me Uncle Sun." Boss Sun said in friendly tone.

"Alright, Uncle Sun." Bai Yi Yang smile brightly

"Good, good. But don't think that I will purposely give you more expensive price ohh…" Boss Sun tease. Bai Yi Yang laugh at that.

After that they continue to talk business. Boss Sun calculate the price one by one, then noting it down. Seems like today he bring receipt with him. Their previous two transactions wasn't formal, so he wasn't prepared. But today he seriously wanted to purchase for his own restaurant too. That was his explanation. Bai Yi Yang nod and let him calculate for a while.

"The total would be 45,419 yuan. Yatou, please check this again." Boss Sun give one copy of the receipt to Bai Yi Yang. Bai Yi Yang look over and nod. Actually she doesn't need to check, she fully trust Boss Sun with this transaction.

"All is correct." She said. Boss Sun nod and as usual transfer the total price like before to her Allpay account.

Their transactions was done in a blink and they chat lightly. Boss Sun ask about the renovation that is going on and Bai Yi Yang explain. The house is too old and they siblings really need to renovate it.

"This is house is quite big for the 5 of you to live but when all the renovation is done, at least you will live comfortably." Boss Sun said.

Boss Sun is someone born with silver spoon, the Sun family is also not originally from this town, they live in City Nan, but they moved here because he is fond of their life here, especially fishing. He stays with his wife and two small children here, his daughter who is two years older than the twins is staying in the City with the rest of their extended family. That was what he told Bai Yi Yang. After chatting for a while, Boss Sun really need to leave to deliver the goods.

"Uncle Sun wait for a while.." Bai Yi Yang said and move swiftly here and there. She filled some ziplock plastic and filled each of it with different type of dried mushrooms.

Other than the one they sold in large quantities, there are also some varieties in smaller quantities that Bai Yi Yang didn't want to sell and keep it for themselves, there are about 5 more different type other than the one she sells. It's just that they are in small quantities and she thinks it is not suitable to be sell. Just keep for them to eat and give to close friends bah.

"Yatou..this is cheating…you said you sold everything…" Boss Sun look at the various kind of dried mushrooms that Bai Yi Yang put collectively inside the big plastic bag, he was speechless. So there are actually more hidden in this kitchen. Bai Yi Yang quickly hands it over to him, don't want him to talk about paying for it.

"This is not for sale. Just something to eat at home." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Then I won't be polite.." Boss Sun smile widened. He actually planning to pay for it, but he already extended a hand of friendship, what will Bai Yi Yang think if he keep talking about money.

"Right..I almost forgot.." Boss Sun call her to follow him to the car. Then he hand her a big plastic with KFC logo on it.

"I remember that my children likes eating fast food so much, you and your siblings eat it." Boss Sun said. Bai Yi Yang also didn't reject. It will save her the trouble of cooking in the kitchen that is a bit messy.

"Thank you Uncle Sun." She smile.

"Alright. We will leave first." Boss Sun come up to the driver seat and drive away with his workers.

Bai Yi Yang see him leave before going in with the KFC in her hand.

It was passed 12.00 pm so some of the workers also is heading out to eat and some are resting in the East house room. Bai Yi Chen was casually chatting with them until he saw Bai Yi Yang come from outside.

"Where is the other?" Bai Yi Yang ask. The children disappeared when she was talking with Boss Sun, wherever they have might go.

"Inside, watching Xiao Ling playing with her phone." Bai Yi Yang point at the Main house. The electric team left at exactly 12.00 pm. Talk about timeliness, Uncle Lu and his time is really on time. Unlike Uncle Duan team who is more flexible.

"Okay, let's have lunch. Uncle Sun brought us KFC.." Bai Yi Yang said. Actually it has been long since she ate KFC herself, she was a bit excited.

"En. Lets eat in the room, the kitchen is a but messy and dusty." Bai Yi Chen said. When they both enter the Main house, the children are sprawling on the bedroom floor. This morning, the electric team was working in this room so Bai Yi Chen put the things on the side. The ceiling lamp are already installed, so does the fan. But they still cannot use it because the work is still going on.

"What is that jie?" The children was attracted to the fragrant smell of fried chicken from the big plastic Bai Yi Yang bring in.

"KFC." Bai Yi Yang start unpacking the plastic.

"Come. Wash our hands." Bai Yi Chen called the three people who is staring intently at Bai Yi Yang busy hand.

Bai Yi Chen was busy explaining to the children about KFC since they won't stop asking him while he was helping them wash their hands clean. He also brought some utensils and clean plate to the room. The children obediently sat around the food on the floor.

"Ge, you gave them some first. I will go wash my hands." Bai Yi Yang stand up and rush out. When she returns, the children hasn't start eating, they were waiting for her.

"Ohh…so loyal..eat now.." She said as she also pick a drumstick from her plate.

Boss Sun bought them a big bucket of fried chicken, a bottle of soft drinks and a few sides. No matter how hungry they were, they won't be able to finish this.

The two small children was excited, they ate happily but they also become full after eating 1 big piece, Bai Yi Yang ate 2 drumsticks, Bai Yi Ling also ate a lot this time, and Bai Yi Chen ate 3 pieces.

They were too full to move for a while so they stay in the room for a bit before cleaning their hands.

"Ohh…I am going to make chicken rice with this later at night." Bai Yi Yang saw the 3 remaining pieces in the bucket. There are actually 12 pieces in total inside it. Other than that, there are still half a bottle of carbonated drink since Bai Yi Chen doesn't drink this kind, 5 pieces nuggets, fries, a large size mashed potatoes and wedges.

"You don't want to eat this anymore?" Bai Yi Yang asked the children who is lying with bulging stomach, she chuckled.

Actually they are the one who ate the most of the sides, if not, how can they be full with only 1 piece of chicken. These two are comparable to Bai Yi Ling eating capacity with their small body. They may grow up eating a lot like Bai Yi Chen.

"No..we are too full.." Bai Yi Mo answer, caressing his stomach. This food can't be keep until night. The chicken is fine but not these other, they won't taste good anymore.

"En. Later are you going to the village again?" Bai Yi Yang ask.

"Yes.." Bai Yi Mo is the one that answers.

"Then share this with your friends. It won't taste good if we keep it until later." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Okay.." Bai Yi Mo and Bai Yi Ling continue to lie down, they may fall asleep at any moment now. This is what people call as food coma, eating too much and falling asleep after.

Bai Yi Ling heard her sister and put it into the same plastic bag and put it aside. She also cannot eat anymore, she ate too much today too. It wasn't only her two younger siblings who feels sleepy now, she also feels the same thing.
