Chapter 263: Dinner preparation

Once Zhou Zhu Yao sent the Bai siblings back to their house, she declined Bai Yi Yang's invitation to dinner tonight. She said that she have a date with Mr.Ling and Bai Yi Yang really don't want to disturb them. So, tonight dinner with the R&D Team will be with the Bai siblings only.

"Ruby and Yi Lin jie will stay for sleepover." Bai Yi Yang answer when Bai Yi Fang ask her who is coming over later.

"Really, then we can stay up late with them later and watch movie. I can allow them to use my room." Bai Yi Fang said again. She loves people, so naturally she will like it when people come over. Bai Yi Ling is making drinks and didn't comment. Her eldest sister's friend, she know that all of them should be good but she didn't even bring her friends for sleepover, so, yeah. Bai Yi Ling is someone who is only comfortable with herself and her family.

"Thank you Fang Fang. But they are my friend, they can use my room. Tonight, let's sleep in your room alright?" Bai Yi Yang pinch Bai Yi Fang's face. Bai Yi Fang cheer, she always found it exciting every time they all sleep in her room.

'Me too.' TongTong look up from the food and add.

'What if you want go pee in the middle of the night?' Bai Yi Yang tease her. TongTong loves it's bed at the living room since it can easily go to toilet when she feel like it. But, she actually wanted to sleep with them tonight.

'I can hold it.' TongTong said and continue taking a bite. This is a steak that Bai Yi Yang grill for her. The rest, Bai Yi Yang will grill them last.

"What is TongTong eating?" Bai Yi Fang look in interest.

"Steak. Marinated ribeye, your favourite. Want some?" Bai Yi Yang ask. Bai Yi Fang loves meat, she is a meat lover. As for vegetables, she ate them when Bai Yi Yang put it into her bowl but she won't take initiative to pick vegetables herself nowadays.

"Want!" Bai Yi Fang grinned. Bai Yi Yang proceed to take some from the fridge and Bai Yi Fang climb onto the bar stool to wait for the food. When Bai Yi Yang start grilling, she is already holding her fork and knife.

For tonight's dinner, most things have been done so Bai Yi Yang is not so busy. Other than oven baked whole rib racks and Roasted Lemon Chicken with potatoes. She will also grill some marinated steak with asparagus, Peri peri chicken, Creamy mushrooms soup and Caesar salad. Today, it is full on Western food.

Bai Yi Ling came not long after and took a bite of the steak in Bai Yi Fang's plate.

"Won't you be too full later?" Bai Yi Ling ask her younger sister.

"Then I can jump on the trampoline to digest it. Xiao gege said that exercise help to digest food." Bai Yi Fang's said cleverly.

"Yes. But no vigorous exercise right after eating." Bai Yi Yang laugh when she heard this.

"Oh." Bai Yi Fang nod and continue eating. She will just jump after resting a while.

Bai Yi Yang chat with her sisters as they eat and TongTong will insert itself into the conversation once in a while. Of course it mainly talk with Bai Yi Yang.

"Seafood? There are only shrimp in the fridge. Should I make Gambas al Ajilio?" Bai Yi Yang got an idea.

"En. They are delicious. I will make the bread." Bai Yi Ling volunteer. Actually, she wanted to eat it too, that's why she ask.

"Thank you." Bai Yi Yang smile and proceed with peeling the shrimp.

The 3 sisters stay in the kitchen and even when Bai Yi Chen come in to ask if they need any help, Bai Yi Yang send him away. So, the two brothers went to play video games in the living room.

It was around 4.00 pm when Bai Yi Yang receive a call from Wang Yi Lin. Wang Yi Lin is informing her about her whereabouts.

"Yes, just go straight up the mountain road. The road is fine, all car can pass." Bai Yi Yang said when Wang Yi Lin said that her mother is worried about the road.

"There is only one house here. You will find our house on the right side. When you arrive, you call me again." Bai Yi Yang add before hanging up.

"Yi Lin jiejie is here?" Bai Yi Fang ask looking a bit excited. Wang Yi Lin is a pretty girl, Bai Yi Fang like her the moment she saw Wang Yi Lin.

"En, she will arrive soon. She is still at the village." Bai Yi Yang smile.

"Oh, then I will wait at the gate." Bai Yi Fang who is playing with TongTong said. She also carry TongTong away with her so they can wait at the gate.

"Jie, is Yi Lin jiejie's parents scary?" Bai Yi Ling ask after Bai Yi Fang left. She also know the story about Wang Yi Lin's parents making a scene at school when they were worried about Wang Yi Lin's academic performance. That was also the time when Bai Yi Yang have to work hard to finish a part of the research so that Wang Yi Lin's parents can be convinced.

"Hurm..how to say it? It's not that they are scary. They are just a bit too strict with their children education." Bai Yi Yang answer.

In her previous life, she saw many parents of the students in her school is much more strict than Wang Yi Lin's parents. The best example should be the Bai parents there, she can see how they monitor Bai Yi Chen's study and the teachers all get headaches all the time because of these difficult parents. Just imagine if there is 30 students in a class and there are 30 pairs of parents who is like that. How can a teacher have a good life?

"I see." Bai Yi Ling nod but inside, she still think that they are scary.

"Our parents was strict too, I remember." She add again and Bai Yi Yang look at Bai Yi Ling. When it comes to their parents matter, other than Bai Yi Chen, Bai Yi Ling is the most affected since she can already understand things when they passed away. So, when they talk about other people's parents, she will remember their parents too.

"That's right." Bai Yi Yang just smile and didn't add too much comment. The two sisters was quite for a moment before Bai Yi Ling broke the silence with asking about the amount of butter Bai Yi Yang need. Bai Yi Yang know that she is changing the topic so she cooperate well, instead, they start talking about Bai Yi Ling's last day in her English tuition class tomorrow.

Bai Yi Ling have decided long time ago that she will quite the tuition class because she have exceeded the syllabus so tomorrow will be her last day. She feel it's a pity to say goodbye to her friends but she don't think the class is useful to her anymore, so she is still quitting.

"You are giving them succulent as parting gifts? I think that's a brilliant idea." Bai Yi Yang approve.

"I am not sure if they can take care of them or not but that's another story." Bai Yi Ling said.

"How can they be as good as you." Bai Yi Yang grinned and Bai Yi Ling blush, she also smile lightly and start talking about who she will gift with what succulents will suit them. Bai Yi Yang don't understand much about succulents but she still listen. Anyway, Bai Yi Ling rarely talk about her interest other than the English language and reading.

As the two sisters chat, Bai Yi Fang ran from outside the gate to inform Bai Yi Yang of Wang Yi Lin's arrival. TongTong also told her that Wang Yi Lin is with her mother outside their house

"I will go invite her in." Bai Yi Yang said to Bai Yi Ling and walk out with Bai Yi Fang. Bai Yi Ling just stay in the kitchen.

When Bai Yi Yang came to their house's gate, she saw Wang Yi Lin and her mother looking around without going inside.

"Aunt Wang, Yi Lin jie." Bai Yi Yang call with a big smile on her face.

"Yi Yang." Wang Yi Lin come forward and her mother follow along.

"Was it hard to find the house? It's a bit far from the main road. Anyway, come in first, aunt." Bai Yi Yang invite.

"No need, no need. I just come to send Yi Lin. I don't want to disturb your fun time." Wang Yi Lin's mother declined with a polite smile. It's a lie if she said that she is not curious with these traditional courtyard house, she thought it was some kind of preserved government's asset, who know that it was actually Bai Yi Yang's house. She know that Bai Yi Yang is an orphan from her daughter, but she didn't know that she was a rich orphan. These kind of traditional courtyard house, what more, it is so well maintained like these, just how much was used to make it.

"Then, at least have a drink first." Bai Yi Yang said and this time Wang Yi Lin's mother didn't declined. Since Wang Yi Lin's mother will just stay for a drink, Bai Yi Yang bring them to the living room and went to fetch a cool drink.

"Why didn't you tell me that they have money?" Wang Yi Lin was questioned by her mother when they were alone in the living room.

When Bai Yi Yang enter the living room, Bai Yi Chen and Bai Yi Mo wasn't there. They should have entered their room to play laptop games.

"Mom, I don't know too." Wang Yi Lin feel wronged. She just know that Bai Yi Yang's family financial situation is quite good, but she also didn't think her house look like this.

Bai Yi Yang didn't took long to return. She serve the mother and daughter drinks and Wang Yi Lin's mother really didn't stay for long. They chat about light topic about the road and weather before she left.

"Your house is really really pretty." Wang Yi Lin said once they enter again after sending her mother out.

"Thank you. I put some effort onto them. Come in, put your stuff in my room first." Bai Yi Yang didn't try to be humble and bring Wang Yi Lin to her room first. She have a small luggage with her since she will be staying for a night.

"This is my room. The one on the left is Xiao Ling and the one on the right is Fang Fang. My two brothers stay at the East House." Bai Yi Yang briefly explained about the house's layout.

"Oh." Wang Yi Lin nod.

Once they enter Bai Yi Yang's bedroom, Wang Yi Lin immediately head to the window to look outside, then she look around, touch the bed and curtain, the room is just too good looking.

"Did you contract an interior designer?" Wang Yi Lin took a seat. No matter how she look, this is not a normal teenager room, it looks very clean and elegant.

"En. You guess right." Bai Yi Yang smile.

"Huh? They cost a lot of money." Wang Yi Lin said.

"Yes. But I like the end products. I am quite satisfied." Bai Yi Yang laugh. Wang Yi Lin admit it too, the whole house is pretty.

"I am cooking now, do you want to go to the kitchen or do you want to rest?" Bai Yi Yang ask.

"I want to follow you." Wang Yi Lin arrange her stuff at the side and follow Bai Yi Yang outside. Bai Yi Chen is in the living room now.

"Senior." Bai Yi Chen nod at Wang Yi Lin. Wang Yi Lin look over and was stunned too, Bai Yi Chen at home is really different.

"Yi Chen, hi." Wang Yi Lin greet.

"Did you just arrived?" Bai Yi Chen ask. This is followed by standard course of conversation, talking about the road and journey. Wang Yi Lin answer him back politely too.

"Ge, we are heading to the kitchen." Bai Yi Yang said.

"En, then go." Bai Yi Chen didn't continue the conversation again.

The two girls went to the kitchen and Wang Yi Lin met Bai Yi Ling. Bai Yi Ling is leisurely playing with her phone at the bar counter when they came in.

"Is there anything I can help with?" Wang Yi Lin sat next to Bai Yi Ling. She saw TongTong on the bar counter and stretch out her hand to pat the kitten's head.

"Not for now. When I am done cooking, you can help with bringing the pots and rinsing the plates and utensils." Bai Yi Yang said.

"I got that." Wang Yi Lin smile and continue to pat TongTong's head. Bai Yi Ling was quiet as the two chat so she proceed with making drinks in advance. She will store them in the fridge to cool them down before dinner.

"Don't mind her, she know what she is doing." Bai Yi Yang said when Wang Yi Lin wanted to offer to help Bai Yi Ling.

"Oh." Wang Yi Lin nod and just watch the sisters move around doing their task. Wang Yi Lin is a bit ashamed since Bai Yi Ling should be better than her in all aspects when it comes to kitchen work. How old is she, how old is Bai Yi Ling? So embarrassing ah. That's why she didn't move around and expose the fact that she is clueless about the kitchen.

It was around 30 minutes after Wang Yi Lin arrived when this time, Bai Yi Mo and Bai Yi Fang came to inform Bai Yi Yang about Ruby An's arrival. The reason is because Ruby An came with a big motorbike.

"Bai Yi Yang, why didn't you tell me that you are damn rich?!" Ruby An said this as soon as she saw Bai Yi Yang coming out of the gate.

"Ruby.." The person riding the motorbike warn her. Ruby's language can be rough at times.

"Sorry dad." Ruby An said and laugh. This person who sent her is her father. She came with only a backpack so riding the motorbike is also fine.

Ruby An come to Bai Yi Yang and Bai Yi Yang offer the same thing and invite Ruby's father inside but he declined. Bai Yi Yang didn't insist too and they send him back. Ruby An come with her father, it will be awkward since Bai Yi Yang is a girl and a junior.

"Come in." Bai Yi Yang pat Ruby's shoulder. They all come in once the motorcycle left.
