Chapter 239: Late night snacks

Dongfang Qi Ze arrived alone at the Bai family door at around 12.35 am. It was Bai Yi Chen who opened the gate for him.

"Yi Chen. Sorry for the trouble." Dongfang Qi Ze pat Bai Yi Chen shoulder as he come in with a small luggage and another bag.

"No problem. The other is asleep, it's only me and Yang Yang." Bai Yi Chen smile lightly. He don't know why Ah Qi can take his time to make a trip to their house even this late at night but he knows that he is good person so he don't mind. What more, everyone like him.

"En." Dongfang Qi Ze nod.

When they came into the living room, Bai Yi Yang return from the kitchen, she smile at Ah Qi with slight blush on her face.

"You can use Xiao Mo's room, there are many empty space in his cupboard too." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Okay, thanks." Dongfang Qi Ze smile back. He wanted to reach out to pat Bai Yi Yang head but Bai Yi Chen is there.

"How about dinner? You had eaten right?" Bai Yi Yang said.

"That..not yet.." Dongfang Qi Ze said.

"En, I guessed it. Ge, bring Ah Qi to the room first, are you joining us for the meal too?" Bai Yi Yang said to her twin.

"No. I will just show Ah Qi ge Xiao Mo's room and go to sleep. I need to get up early tomorrow." Bai Yi Chen said.

"Okay. Ah Qi, come over to the kitchen when you are done." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Alright." Dongfang Qi Ze nod and follow Bai Yi Chen to the East house.

Bai Yi Yang grinned as she watch them go away. Well, Ah Qi is really good looking in suit. But she also feels a bit sad, he must have come straight from work since he is still wearing his work outfit. No problem, she will make him a delicious meal.

Bai Yi Yang enter the kitchen again and taste the creamy mushrooms soup in the pot, after adding just a little bit more dried herbs, she turned off the heat.

"What are you making?" Bai Yi Yang feel a tall figure standing behind her and she turn around to look, it's Ah Qi with his white formal shirt and blazer pants, his sleeve is fold up to his elbow and three button above is unbuttoned.

"Freshly baked pizza, mushrooms soup and black pepper meatballs." Bai Yi Yang said.

"En, sounds delicious. I missed you." Dongfang Qi Ze nod and said this to Bai Yi Yang, a soft kiss falls on top of Bai Yi Yang's head.

"What are you doing?" Bai Yi Yang blush and push him away slightly. Luckily there is no one here, not even TongTong.

"Can't I miss my little girlfriend?" Dongfang Qi Ze eyes narrowed and his lips lifted up as he trapped Bai Yi Yang between his body and the kitchen counter.

"Don't make that face." Bai Yi Yang look up and warn him. Every time Ah Qi make that expression, she have the feeling that he is purposely doing it to seduce her.

Dongfang Qi Ze smile deepened when he heard this, he finally can't stand teasing her any further when her blush becomes clearer, he lifted a hand and softly caress her hair.

"I truly missed you. Next week, I will come even earlier." Dongfang Qi Ze said and land another kiss on Bai Yi Yang forehead this time before letting her do whatever she was doing.

"I know you are busy." Bai Yi Yang turn her back against him and start scooping out the mushrooms soup into two bowls, she only filled her bowl in half. This is just to accompany him to eat.

"I am busy but I can make time for you." Dongfang Qi Ze took the two bowls and bring it to the table. He then returned to take the meatballs dish, Bai Yi Yang also bring over the whole pizza that's not even cut.

"Don't force yourself, what if your boss scold you." Bai Yi Yang said, she then use the pizza cutter to cut the pizza into 8 equal parts.

"Ah..that won't happen." Dongfang Qi Ze smile and took a slice of cut pizza and shoved it into his mouth. He knows how good Bai Yi Yang's cooking is, so even while eating something that he had only tried once during his childhood, it suddenly became top of his favourite food list.

"How does it taste?" Bai Yi Yang ask expectedly.

"Taste good like always." Dongfang Qi Ze isn't stingy with compliments when it comes to Bai Yi Yang, he just like everything about her.

"Eat more." Bai Yi Yang smile and took one for herself. She suddenly feel that she can eat a lot seeing Ah Qi eating in gusto. She also must cook more delicious food tomorrow.

"How was the journey? It must be hard to drive at night." Bai Yi Yang ask while they are eating.

"It's fine, my eyesight is good." Dongfang Qi Ze said. He only drive for a short distance and it was actually okay, his eyesight is originally good, but after returning to health after the incident, his eyesight becomes much better.

"Really? That's good, many of my friends have to wear spectacles already." Bai Yi Yang said, she suddenly reminded of Su Long who wear thick glass. Should she purchase something that can treat eyesight for Su Long?

"I also know a lot if people who have very bad eyes." Dongfang Qi Ze agree, there is his oldest assistant, Long Yi, Assistant Lu or Lu Zheng, even the female receptionist in their building lobby wear spectacles.

"Me and my siblings all have good eyesight. I am just worried about Xiao Ling since she reads all the time." Bai Yi Yang said again.

"Should be okay, you siblings must have good eye's genetic. People usually develop eyes problem since young." Dongfang Qi Ze comment. In the Dongfang family, at least half of them are wearing spectacles, he is one of the lucky one. He remember that his late father also wear one.

"Then Ah Qi have a good one too." Bai Yi Yang grinned and push the black pepper meatballs closer to Ah Qi.

"Thanks, you eat too." Dongfang Qi Ze smile sweetly and had a taste, well there is no need to elaborate since everything taste good here. Sometimes, he is shocked about his own appetite when he eat in this house.

"I already at a lot of this, I keep some for you to try. I also saved some cake for you, the taste is okay." Bai Yi Yang said again.

"Okay, I will have a taste later." Dongfang Qi Ze only nod. Things like eating birthday cake, he never done it before. His birthday is celebrated as a way for the elites to socialise, even when he was small, children don't stand besides him to sing happy birthday. They often call famous singer to sing at his birthday party. Don't even say about tasting the birthday cake himself, he won't even able to eat full meal because he will be dragged here and there to meet CEOs, VIPs and so on.

"When is your birthday Ah Qi? Let's celebrate it together next time." Bai Yi Yang ask excitedly.

"Mine and my gege is the 29th of December." She add.

"My birthday?" Dongfang Qi Ze thought for a while. Actually he had lost track of it, when it is near his birthday, his assistant will tell him and arrange everything for him.

"4th of April." Dongfang Qi Ze answer.

"Ah, your birthdate is so beautiful." Bai Yi Yang said, her eyes is twinkling. Dongfang Qi Ze smile softly, well, celebrating birthday with her in the upcoming years should be fine.

Bai Yi Yang proceed with telling Ah Qi about her siblings birthdate, Xiao Mo's birthday is on 15th of August and Xiao Ling's birthday is on the 20th of November.

"Your school holiday should be in August right? Do you have plans?" Dongfang Qi Ze ask when Bai Yi Yang mention about celebrating Bai Yi Mo's birthday far from home.

"Yes, we are going for road trips from city to city through the southern area. It will be best if you have time to join us, but I promise to stop by City Shan to meet you." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Your Zhu Yao jie will drive?" Dongfang Qi Ze said a bit worried.

"En. Actually this is a secret, but I do know how to drive too. I will try driving again during this trip." Bai Yi Yang said in low volume with a giggle.

"You had practice driving before? When?" Dongfang Qi Ze ask. That wasn't in the information, Bai Yi Yang's parents are teachers, they are the strict kind too, there is no way that they will let Bai Yi Yang drive without a license. What more, she was like 14 when they passed away.

"Not practice, but I know all the theory, I think that will be easy too." Bai Yi Yang think that she may get caught, so she make an excuse.

"Then, no. Knowing the theory is different from the real thing. I will teach you when you reach 18 years old." Dongfang Qi Ze said. How can he let herself be in danger, even now he already feel restless that he send people to look after her.

"But.. I am really confident that I can do it." Bai Yi Yang feels that she have burst her own opportunity to drive illegally.

"I know, but still no. Not only me, everyone won't agree that you drive illegally. Listen to me okay, driving without proper teaching is dangerous." Dongfang Qi Ze pat Bai Yi Yang head as he coax her. The girl is now pouting.

"Wait until you holiday, I can bring you to a racetrack, you can practice there." Dongfang Qi Ze add in the end, don't want to disappoint the girl.

"Really?! Then if I am good you promise to let me drive secretly." Bai Yi Yang mood lit up immediately. What's better way to convince anyone than showing them her ability.

"Okay, we will see then." Dongfang Qi Ze smile helplessly.

"By the way, does anyone can go to a racetrack? I thought place like that is restricted." Bai Yi Yang ask. Driving at a racetrack is a dream, especially those who loves driving cars.

"My hobby used to be car racing for about 1 year so I have people I know." Dongfang Qi Ze said. This is indeed true, when he first got driving license at 18, he really got into car racing but only for 1 year, when he is good at it, he got bored and stop. Nowadays, he only go there 1-2 times in a month. As for the racetrack he is referring to, it's a project of Dongfang Group to attract more tourism into the city, they basically own it.

"Then you must be good in driving." Bai Yi Yang eyes shine, her Ah Qi is so cool.

"For sure I can teach you." Dongfang Qi Ze smile.

"Is there a racetrack in City Shan? Then I must really check it out." Bai Yi Yang said again.

"Not City Shan, I do car racing in City Zhou." Dongfang Qi Ze said.

"That far?! I know that City Zhou have a racetrack, I have seen competition held there in TV. I never thought that place will be accessible to non racer." Bai Yi Yang is shock again.

"Don't worry about it." Dongfang Qi Ze only said that and change the topic naturally.

At around 1.30 am, the two people finally finished having their late night snacks. Dongfang Qi Ze awkwardly help Bai Yi Yang with cleaning up, Bai Yi Yang already know that he is bad in doing housework so she just told him to wipe the diner table.

"Done?" Bai Yi Yang ask while she is washing her hand. Ah Qi came over with the tablecloth and went to wash his hand too.

"Yeah." Dongfang Qi Ze nod.

"Are you going to take a shower?" Bai Yi Yang ask.

"I wanted too. I haven't shower for a whole day. What if you dislike me?" Dongfang Qi Ze said shamelessly.

"Whatever." Bai Yi Yang smile and blush.

"I will wait for you. You can use the shower here, you can bring your changing clothes inside." Bai Yi Yang said as she pointed at then West house shower that Bai Yi Chen usually use.

"En." Dongfang Qi Ze return to take his changing clothes and enter the bathroom. Bai Yi Yang also enter the bathroom in the Main house to wash her face and brush her teeth while waiting for Ah Qi, then she waited for him in the kitchen. When Ah Qi return with wet hair and casual clothes, Bai Yi Yang frown. It's late at night, what if he caught a cold.

"I will go take my hair dryer, you use it." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Okay." Dongfang Qi Ze nod and follow Bai Yi Yang to return to the Main house. He waited at the living room as Bai Yi Yang come into her bedroom to take the hair dryer.

"Are you sleeping now?" Dongfang Qi Ze ask after taking the hair dryer from Bai Yi Yang.

"En, it's late. You go sleep too." Bai Yi Yang nod.

"Okay, see you tomorrow, goodnight." Dongfang Qi Ze said and land a quick kiss on her forehead.

"En, goodnight." Bai Yi Yang blush lightly and tiptoe for a quick peck on his cheek too. Then she turn around to quickly enter the bedroom again, leaving Ah Qi outside.

Dongfang Qi Ze laugh lightly and return to his room with all smiles. His little girlfriend is really the most adorable.
