Chapter 221: Grandma Cui’s knee is healed

The next morning, Bai Yi Yang was naturally woken up at around 7.00 am. She immediately wash her face and brush her teeth before coming out of the bedroom. The Cui residence guest room, she don't have to elaborate further, they have everything that a room has to have.

"Yi Yang yatou, you are awake? The old master and old madam is still in their room, the old madam's doctor is here." The old aunt said when she saw Bai Yi Yang coming downstairs. She is holding a tray in her hand, seems like she is heading towards the old couple's bedroom.

"Doctor? What happened?" Bai Yi Yang panicked, she quickened her pace to come down the stairs and follow the old aunt.

"Ah, there is nothing, you know that yesterday the old madam knee pain worsened, the young master heard about it and call the family doctor over to the residence to look. There is nothing to worry about, the old madam even said that she doesn't feel any knee pain this morning." The old aunt smile and explain.

"Really? Then I will come to look too." Bai Yi Yang said in relief. The old aunt agree and bring her to the master bedroom which door is widely open. Inside, Bai Yi Yang can see a middle age man and a female nurse together with the Cui couple.

"You are here? Come and sit." Grandma Cui saw Bai Yi Yang and call her to sit with her on the bed. Currently her leg is being checked by the doctor who looks a bit serious, he is frowning as he elicit the same knee examination on Grandma Cui.

"What's the matter?" Bai Yi Yang ask in low voice, don't want to disturb the doctor's concentration.

"I said I am fine this morning, the pain from yesterday is totally gone. The doctor is still checking it now." Grandma Cui said.

'TongTong, do you think something is wrong with the medicine I bought?' Bai Yi Yang ask worriedly.

'What can goes wrong? Grandma's knee just recovered ah.' TongTong said while licking its paws, TongTong is also currently in the master bedroom.

'That fast?! Isn't it slow-acting?' Bai Yi Yang is shocked.

'En, quite slow. 8 hours, if you bought the instant acting one, it will be repaired in seconds.' TongTong said casually. Bai Yi Yang feel a headache, wouldn't she be found out like this?

"Doctor, is there anything wrong?" Old man Cui finally cannot take it anymore after 10 minutes passed by in silence and the doctor is still doing examination.

"Ah?" The doctor seems taken aback, he smile awkwardly when he met eyes with Grandma Cui.

"That..is it convenient for the old madam to go to the hospital now and do some examination? It's like this, the finding of my examination is a bit weird. By doing some imaging on the knee, we can know for sure." The doctor said. Actually, he even doubt his ability now.

"Is it that bad? Did my wife knee worsened?" Old man Cui ask worriedly, Grandma Cui is frowning too.

"No, no, no. It's not like that. 1 year ago, I have diagnosed the old madam with osteoarthritis, it hasn't worsened much along this year but today, I cannot find any problem with the old madam knee, as if she never have the problem. This may sound weird but her knee seems to have recovered on it's own, it's totally normal now." The doctor said, there are sweat on his forehead. His logic is too challenged, the old madam knee is not at the severe level but at least intermediate, how come the problem seems to have totally disappeared?

"What? Healed?" Everyone ask. Even the nurse who always follow the doctor is shocked. She have been working at the orthopaedic department for so long, never heard someone's with osteoarthritis totally healed like a brand new knee that never have the disease. The only thing that treatment can do is relief the pain and slow down the progression of the osteoarthritis.

"Yes. Old madam, why don't we do this, let's do some imaging, then we can be sure if it is totally healed or something else. Lately, by chance did you do any sort of treatment in other clinic?" The doctor ask.

"Where can we go other than your clinic, doctor? Even my painkillers are from your clinic." Grandma Cui said.

"Ah, sorry, that..I just thought maybe you got some treatment from other place.." The doctor smile awkwardly.

"Forget it. But, my knee, there really nothing wrong with it? I also feel weird, when I woke up this morning and go to the bathroom, there is no pain and I think I can even move faster than before, my knee feels like brand new." Grandma Cui smile happily.

"Based on my examination, there really is no problem, but we can't be sure yet.." The doctor answer. Someone that has been diagnosed and coming for follow up for 1 year and suddenly today the problem disappear, too weird.

"It's all thanks to Yi Yang yatou, maybe the folk remedy is really working." The old aunt said happily. Bai Yi Yang who thought that she is safe suddenly become the centre of attention.

"Right doctor, this girl gave me some cinnamon and ginger tea last night, after that I don't feel pain anymore. Maybe it's because of that." Grandma Cui hold Bai Yi Yang hands. The doctor look at the good looking young girl sitting next to Grandma Cui.

"Cinnamon and ginger have anti inflammatory effect that may prevent the pain but to heal the disease itself.." The doctor said awkwardly.

"That's right grandma, I also know that it can reduce pain only. Maybe you are some of the blessed one that your knee is healed." Bai Yi Yang said some words that even she feel cringey. The old couple laugh and nod, they seems to agree with her. The doctor only smile, there is no such thing like that okay.

"Doctor, how about this, around 10.00 am, we will come and do examination at your clinic. If my wife is really healed then that is the best." Old man Cui said.

"Yes, yes. Old master is right, then, we will leave first." The doctor said and tidy up their stuff. He feels that the girl is not that simple but he can find nothing on her, what more, there is no way that she is the one who healed the old madam knee with some folk remedies right? That's just impossible.

After the doctor leave, everyone come out to the living room. Grandma Cui and the old aunt keep saying that Bai Yi Yang medicine must have worked and Bai Yi Yang will said bunch of words like Grandma Cui has gotten a blessing and being kind is always paid off and so on. As for Old man Cui, he immediately called his son to tell the news, his son is the one who called the doctor to come so naturally they must inform him.

"Mom, after this do you want me to come send you? I can take a half day off." A man on the phone said. This must be the only son of the old couple that Bai Yi Yang never seen before, Cui Tao.

"No need, your dad's driver can send us there. When the test result come out, we will tell you." Grandma Cui said while smiling.

"There is really nothing wrong right?" Cui Tao ask again.

"Nothing is wrong. Most probably I can even run faster than your dad now." Grandma Cui laugh, even the man also have a soft laugh.

"Alright, then I won't bother you anymore. Make sure to go to the clinic." Cui Tao said. Grandma Cui answered with a yes and they hang up after a while.

Cui Tao is the only child of the the Old Cui couple. He is currently the appointed CEO of the News media company that the Cui family own, Old man Cui is the owner and biggest shareholder while his son is the one who manage it. Cui Tao is a divorced man, Bai Yi Yang heard this from the couple themselves. Just by listening to the description about Cui Tao, he is the type of man who is married to his work, even after divorcing for so long, he haven't found another wife.

The old couple also doesn't mind about this, they already have 3 grandchildren, if Cui Tao wanted to get married again then get married, if not, then there is no need to force him. The Cui old couple is quite a cool parents.

After the call, they decided to go to a nearby breakfast restaurant, Old man Cui will drive, there is no need to wait for the driver to come. When they arrived at the small restaurant that is not even comparable to the French restaurant from last night, Bai Yi Yang finally understand this couple a bit, no wonder they don't mind staying at their house in the village.

"This place sells good breakfast, you must have a try today." Old man Cui said. There are a few elders hanging around the shop too, everyone is friendly and they end up sitting together in a big table. One is the next door shop's boss, another one is a teacher, the other is Old man Cui fishing buddy and lastly is a big construction company owner. The people here is really diverse. Bai Yi Yang enjoyed chatting with them too, especially the one who know fishing, he talks with Bai Yi Yang as if she is his idol because of her achievements that Old man Cui brag about.

They only return home at 8.30 am. Bai Yi Yang went into the room to get ready, she will meet Ru Qing later, she said that she will come over to pick her up. As for the old couple, they also get ready since they will go to the clinic later.

"TongTong, you wanted to stay or follow me?" Bai Yi Yang ask while she is drying her hair.

'Follow you. I also want to see the new house.' TongTong said.

"Then, come here, I will wipe your face a bit." Bai Yi Yang said. She stood up and take some wet tissue. TongTong was eating breakfast that they bought back just now, so it's face is a bit dirty and it smell like food.

'Okay.' TongTong jump and come near Bai Yi Yang and let her wipe its face clean, then TongTong roll over the bed again while waiting for Bai Yi Yang to finish getting ready.

Just then, Bai Yi Yang bedroom door was knocked, it was the old aunt, she came to tell her about Ru Qing who have arrived.

"The old master invited her in to have some tea, take your time." The old aunt add.

"Then I will go down as soon as possible." Bai Yi Yang said. The old aunt hum and close the door.

"You ready? Let's go." Bai Yi Yang said to TongTong as she pick up her sling bag from the bed. The two come down after that.

Ru Qing is sitting and chatting with the old couple now, there is a cup of tea in front of her and she seems a bit nervous since she keep correcting her glasses. Bai Yi Yang arrival put a smile on her face, Ru Qing finally can feel less awkward, this couple is a bit scary, their aura is not ordinary.

"Miss Bai." Ru Qing called out. Bai Yi Yang smile back.

"Since you are here, we won't delay you anymore. Return home for lunch later." Grandma Cui said to Bai Yi Yang.

"Will you be back before lunch?" Bai Yi Yang ask. They are going to the clinic for examination so it may take a while.

"The examination is not long, we will be back early." Grandma Cui said.

"I have called the management office in advance, when you arrive there, just ask the front desk and they will show you the house." Old man Cui said again.

"En, I know. Be careful on the road later." Bai Yi Yang said.
