Three days have passed since she last talked with Sir Masson and Griffin which is honestly for the better at this point, if she had to listen to those obnoxious men for one more minute she wouldn't need Savianna to hurt them. She looked around the town center today to finish off the chore list her mother gave her for the week. Mulberry paid the fruit stall woman for the ripened peaches she ordered.
A small pebble hit the back of her head, not strong enough to hurt her but could have been if the person had thrown it harder. She glanced back seeing two men chuckling and snickering to themselves but didn't approach Mulberry like cowards which actually made Mulberry giggle shocking the two guys that obviously wanted her to lash out in front of everyone
"I've never seen such unsightly men try to get a woman's attention like this, you know the phrase 'When a guy bullies you it means they like you'. Well I do not believe in such a saying because bullying people is for the weak...Are you that weak that you try to injure me cause you find me to be so beautiful?"
Mulberry spoke in a soft tone, whimpering letting tears fall from her making the people around them believe the men offended the girl till she cried, the people around them started to gossip and mutter among themselves. The men however started to panic throwing a couple of insults her way before scurrying off with their pride between their legs, Mulberry kept the theatricks up until she reached the town park then she broke down laughing. She loved the image of the men's panicked faces at her fake tears, After a little bit Mulberry calmed down wiping her crocodile tears off her face.
Mulberry took a seat on the bench and watched the parents with their mothers and siblings finding it endearing, She remembered going to the park with her sister and mother when she was younger and begging her mother to push her on the swings trying to get as close to the sky as she could before jumping off like a baby bird from the nest.
Mulberry's thoughts were interrupted by a little girl prancing up to her and saying in a cheerful tone
"Goddess Savianna!! I'm Hailey and I'm 10 years old! I picked these for you! I hope you like them!"
The girl pulled a small hand-picked bouquet of Lilac and dandelions, Mulberry's heart ached from happiness softly taking them before saying softly to the young girl
"Thank you, Hailey, These are so beautiful and I will cherish them."
The little girl giggled softly from glee, she waved by to Mulberry yelling as she ran back to her mother
"Goodbye, Goddess!"
Mulberry smiled softly smelling the flowers and watching the girl walk home with her mom happily telling her that the Goddess loved them, She smiled instantly forgetting the scene from earlier with the rude men finding it beautiful that a child was more capable of being kind than grown adults.
She let out a relaxed exhale walking home holding the bouquet in her hand and the produce in the other hand humming happily to herself.
