"Chu has indeed taken control of my soldiers."
Yan Xia changed his appearance and donned a soldier's uniform, blending in with the troops. A Loran soldier approached and greeted him.
"Lora, lora, lora~~~"
Their voices were like this, and their race was named after it.
The Loran race's language contained hundreds of high and low tones, including infrasound and ultrasound, forming a comprehensive language system. After the Civil Federation rescued them from the Purple Thorn Civilization, they gradually dominated the music scene in the Civil Federation.
Currently, eight out of ten top musicians in the Civil Federation are Lorans.
However, the appearance of this race was still unflattering.
They looked like three-meter-long worms, moving by wriggling. The only difference from worms was that their feet were very slender, resembling arthropods rather than insects. This made their movements swift.
The ends of their limbs had many small terminal segments, allowing them to manipulate objects skillfully.
Their upper body was located at the back, occupying two-thirds of their body length. It could stand upright and had strange patterns, with bluish-black skin covered in toxic scales, all to deter predators. On their planet, before the birth of their civilization, they were hunted as snacks by numerous predators.
There were no external organs like eyes, ears, or noses on their upper body. All their sensory organs were hidden inside their bodies, so their skin was very thin, and you could even see their internal organs.
At the top of their upper body were some protruding flesh balls, which were their vocal organs, producing the lora, lora, lora sounds through the trembling of these flesh balls.
Yan Xia thought their posture resembled a scorpion, just with the scorpion's tail replaced by the upper body and the trunk replaced by a large worm. What impressed him the most was that the Lorans' abdomen could open, revealing their ovaries where they could place their eggs for incubation before giving birth, creating a "false womb."
The Loran soldier's greeting was, "Which team are you from? Let's get to know each other."
Yan Xia replied, "00712 Squadron."
He quickly engaged in conversation with this Loran soldier named Buros, mostly about the recent awakening from hibernation. Buros was very angry about it.
Yan Xia also expressed his anger, blending in with the soldiers.
Chu's purpose in controlling the soldiers was not only to observe the structure of the Civil Federation but also to gradually influence it through the Universe Silk Road, preparing to control the Civil Federation in the future.
Yan Xia knew Chu's ambitions, so he wanted to influence Chu's judgment through this.
Chu, as a manager, had existed for too long and should have been extremely cautious. To achieve his goal, Yan Xia also had to do something else.
"Do you know how to leave the army and go back?"
"Now that the Universe Silk Road is open, does it mean we can go back?"
Yan Xia quietly asked Buros.
Buros didn't know, and it was hard to judge if they could normally retire and leave. However, it was estimated that they couldn't, and if they could, the army would probably be disbanded by half.
"Oh, I'll go and ask later. If we can't leave, won't we have to die here?"
Yan Xia went to do it later. He found Ella and stood in front of her with a disguised face, proposing his idea.
He knew that the Ella in front of him was Chu, and if it weren't Chu, it wouldn't even do this.
Chu, of course, refused.
Half a month later, Yan Xia gathered a group of people and started a commotion, protesting against Ella's "tyranny" and insisting on contacting the Civil Federation to complain about Ella.
Chu wasn't afraid of this. Besides fast communication, it could intercept all conventional communication methods.
It even welcomed Yan Xia's commotion, which was clearly a class contradiction, part of its observation, and its research subject.
However, what made it suspicious was that when facing the soldier who caused the commotion, it always felt like it was facing Yan Xia.
Perhaps the Civil Federation's life forms, or at least the human-like ones, were very similar.
It didn't think deeply about it. Now, besides observing the Civil Federation's social structure, it had to manage the launched incentive plan.
As soon as this plan was announced, it shook the Shared Consciousness Cluster, and countless individuals expressed their willingness to join the army. The Olive Branch Civilization would send another fleet to the Orion Nebula.
Now, the journey was halfway, but according to the news from the front line, the first fleet and the Silk Civilization had already engaged in interstellar combat, testing each other with attacks.
Upon seeing this, the Civil Federation fleet also launched an attack on the Silk Civilization, making Chu even more convinced of the Holy Grail Plan.
Without the Holy Grail Plan, the Civil Federation's target would be the Olive Branch Civilization, and they wouldn't need to attack at this time. They could just watch the two civilizations fight.
The Civil Federation didn't do that but instead participated in the battle to distract the Silk Civilization.
The possible reason was that the Civil Federation genuinely wanted to defeat the Silk Civilization, and its priority was even higher than dealing with the massive Olive Branch Civilization.
Chu thought this was an even worse situation, and the more real the Holy Grail Plan seemed, the fewer plans there would be for the Olive Branch Civilization.
After all the work on the incentive plan was done, Chu turned back and found that the little soldier had gathered a considerable force and decided to escape from this area.
Then, not surprisingly, the escape failed.
The little soldier angrily accused Yan Xia and Ella of having defected to the Olive Branch Civilization, causing the soldiers to distrust the higher-ups.
"How interesting!"
"This is much more interesting than controlling Xingcheng."
Chu became even more determined to take over the Civil Federation.
However, what it didn't notice was that Yan Xia had slowly begun to control these soldiers and officers.
Yan Xia, who was once a little soldier, had become a leader. His words, under a different identity, carried weight. Now, he had become the first human under Ella, controlled by Chu, and some of the fleet's captains secretly supported him in his protest.
This was what Yan Xia wanted.
After control came change and deception.
Chu, as an individual, was very easy to deceive, which was a drawback of the Olive Branch Civilization.
Yan Xia's first task was to make these 7.09 million soldiers as similar to the outside Olive Branch Civilization as possible. He started brainwashing them, making them believe that they couldn't return to the Civil Federation unless they followed Yan Xia's orders.
Then he began to divide them into classes, promoting every soldier who wanted to escape from Xingcheng as an officer.
Over a decade, Chu was astonished to find that the structure of these Civil Federation soldiers was now very similar to Xingcheng, almost like a miniature Xingcheng or Olive Branch Civilization.
Just as it was excited to continue observing how the Civil Federation would develop, this miniature Xingcheng collapsed!
