Ayumi was certainly surprised when she returned to the galaxy, after much effort to find that it had managed to hold off the Naraku better than she had expected. Ever since her return, he had stayed hidden on Earth, not willing to reveal her powers.
After all, Erich had asked her to calmly stand by and wait until the necessary time where her powers would be most effective. She was, after all his trump card. The ultimate protector of their two peoples. If a time came when the Naraku encircled the Great Oni Empire, and the Germanic Star-Empire whose core territories were neighbors with one another.
Then she alone could repel them practically indefinitely. She was the great protector of their two peoples, and by extension the Dvrakians as well. To send her out to fight the bugs for any other purpose may aid in a victory, but from Erich's perspective it was most certainly a waste of a hidden trump card.
