Chapter 75 - The Dragon Empery KANSEN
A month later after the operation, Adam had been mostly busy continuing his research and study on how to upgrade the KANSEN.
Unfortunately, his wish to obtain more Wisdom Cubes wasn't granted and permanently restricted by the government because, although they approved the Project KANSEN, the shipgirls were still labeled as violent weapons of mass destruction. They were afraid that if they went out of control and bite them back later.
Aside from Adam's research, he usually spends the morning around the base. Usually he did training in the morning with his Servants and Winter, then breakfast in the cafeteria before he assigned some shipgirls on either patrol missions or commissions.
Today however, Adam didn't return to the underground facility and instead went to the Orbital Fortress to look for Agent.
When he arrived, Adam noticed Agent was standing next to his seat overlooking her Dummies, rapidly tapping on the terminals while she looked at the big screen with a frown. Then she turned around when sensed his arrival.
"You've arrived, Master." Agent greeted him politely as always even if she didn't need to anymore but she liked to keep up her 'Professional Maid' persona more than anything else other than him.
Adam gave her a nod before taking his seat and asked, "So, what is the emergency?"
Agents quickly brought up a recording of a naval base which Adam quickly identified from the flag and markings around the base to be a China. The base was on fire with explosions going off occasionally as soldiers and tanks quickly rolled into the scene as the conflict got more heated.
They surrounded a warehouse and fired at the warehouse and retaliated with shots that instantly blew up a few tanks. There is no doubt, those hiding in the base should be KANSEN.
A while later, the shipgirls hiding in the warehouse broke and defeated most of the soldiers sent to stop them before they took a run at it and jumped into the sea to make their escape. However, the military is relentless and sends out not just helicopters but also jets to pursue the fleeing shipgirls.
Agent patiently waited until Adam was done watching the recording before she asked, "What should we do about this, Master?"
Adam thought for a moment and said, "Of course, our top priority would be rescuing them. However, we also cannot risk associating ourselves with them because China will definitely throw a big tantrum if they know we steal their shipgirls."
"Hmn… For now, try to contact them and lead them away from their pursuer and make sure they can't catch those fleeing shipgirls." Adam said before he wondered who he should send and then realized there was no one suitable to be sent other than himself since only he can reach them the fastest using Teleportation to bring them back.
"Should I prepare a Stealth Dropship to transport them back?" Agent asked. But Adam shakes his head and waves his hand. "No need. I will take care of that myself. Just make sure none of their eyes can see me."
"Yes, Master." Agent bowed before getting to work.
Adam took off his Commander uniform and replaced his outfit with a combat suit because he only has limited uniform and rather not ruin any. Once he is done changing, his armor folds out and covers his entire body in this alien alloy suit.
Adam grasps the air with his hand a few times to get a feel of it after more than two months not wearing his Crysis armor suit and it felt as comfortable as ever. It felt safe and reassuring to be covered by armor and barriers that protect his body.
When he is done suiting up, Adam turns on Cloaking Mode and teleports to the location where he will pick up the fleeing shipgirls.

On the waters between Taiwan and Philippines, Adam waited in standby for the two Dragon Empery shipgirls, Ping Hai and Ning Hai. The land Adam stood on is just a small and insignificant island that didn't even show up on any map because it would be submerged in high tide which would be perfect.
"Master. They will arrive in another five minutes. Three helicopters and two fighter jets are still trailing after them. Should I shoot them down?"
"With the main Batteries? No need, they can see the beam. It's risky." Adam quickly denied but the Agent corrected him and said. "No, I had several SAM and laser cannons scattered around the inhabited islands around the world. There are five SAM silos and two laser cannons with range."
Adam is a little speechless after hearing what she said but the main reason he denied help is because he wanted to let loose a little and shoot his gun.
"No need, Agent. I can handle this myself with lesser risk. Those missiles and lasers can be detected but firearm bullets are very difficult especially mine that melt away once hit." Adam proudly poses with his [BLACK] Hornet sniper rifle which is slotted with the soul of a goddess that grants a powerful poison that not only melt flesh and metal but also poison them with venom and diseases.
Agent said no more since Adam made his decision. Instead, Agent simply wished him a pleasant hunt before she ended the transmission.
Adam look at the minimap and saw two blue dots accompanied by two bleeps entered the range of his minimap followed by five red ones. Two dots speed ahead which he identified are the jets that intended to make a turn and cut off the path of the two shipgirls.
Adam take a deep breath before entering his firing stance and and look down his sight which the AI immediately automatically corrected his scope error and locked on the targets before it subtly corrected Adam's posture and move his body to perfectly aim at the jet's engine that the AI briefly scanned and detected the components of the Chengdu J-10 by cross-referencing with data collected by Adam regarding most vehicles whether it's jets, tanks or warships, he have complete collection of them thanks to his and Agent's hard work stealing information early on.
Adam let loose his first shot which scored a perfect hit on the engine. The shot pierced through the entire engine which left behind a miniscule green hole that rapidly grew bigger and eventually caused substantial damage causing the engine to break and lose power midair before it eventually crashed on the beach at high speed and exploded. But Adam added another shot to its fuel tank after he noticed the jet was still capable of a little maneuverability using its wings. The second shot managed to cause a spark and immediately caught fire and exploded which took the pilots along.
In a brief span of few seconds, one jet was shot down by an unknown assailant which put the helicopters and the last jet pilots into a wary state. The two shipgirls refused to truly harm them which made them bold and chase them recklessly but when a jet was mysteriously shot down, they immediately became alert and checked their surroundings and found no one that could be attacking them.
"What! I swear we didn't shoot anyone!" Ning Hai cried in a panic when she saw the pilots suspecting them as they are the only possible assailants. However, before the helicopter pilots could do anything to the sisters, three rapid shots landed on each of their forehead and bathed the cockpit red as the bullets carried powerful momentum, enough to pierce through the entire chassis of the helicopter without any problem.
The pilots can't even scream as their horrified face is the last thing seen before the helicopters fell into the sea and sunked.
"Hii! Demon!" The last surviving pilot of the jet saw an inhuman figure suddenly appear on the beach before he heard a sound of something being pierced on his jet. Then a big fireball consumed the entire jet because Adam shot through its armaments that exploded and took the jet with it into the sea.
After taking care of the pursuers, Adam lowered his sniper rifle and folded his helmet before waving at the sisters. They warily approached the beach and looked at Adam.
"Are you the rescuer sent by the Eagle Union's Commander?" Ning Hai asked while standing before her younger sister Ping Hai to shield her from Adam because she still felt suspicious and feared him after he just murdered several people even if it's done to save her and her sister.
"Rescuer?" Adam was a little surprised and wondered what Agent said to convince them. But for now, that will do. "Sure, let's go with that. Anyway, hold my hand I will bring you both somewhere safe." Adam said and held both his arms out to the sisters.
Ping Hai looked at her elder sister, Ning Hai for a moment and saw Ning Hai gave a reluctant nod as their situation isn't exactly favorable especially after Adam had already killed their pursuer. They will be treated with hostility if they return right now.
Both sisters reluctantly extend their arm out to hold Adam's hands before he immediately teleports back to the Orbital Fortress and then to the base before they could notice.
"I welcome you both to the Eagle Union Naval Base." Adam said to the two before Agent arrived moments later to guide the two away for treatment with Vestal since their pursuers aren't exactly holding back against them and fired multiple shots causing their rigging's hull to sustain numerous damage although most are just superficial thankfully or Adam would have healed them himself.
After Agent departed with Ning Hai and Ping Hai, Enterprise appeared and approached him.
"I heard what happened from the Agent. Although I would commend you for helping our fellow allies, I don't think the top is going to be happy with the implication of your action, Commander. Especially the political downfall of attacking the military force of another nation." Enterprise tried to reprimand Adam for his reckless action on handling this matter on his own. But Adam didn't exactly do it without knowing he can handle the aftermath.
"I know, Enty. Well, as long as no one knows about it. No one can point their finger at me." He shrugs and adds. "I had their intelligence assets blinded during my attack. No one sees me and no witness survives the encounter. As long as the two remain hidden until the heat dies down, there won't be an issue. Besides, if everything falls apart in the end. I am confident to launch a coup to take control of the nation and seize power to further my goal." Adam said with a sharp glint briefly appeared on his eyes which gave Enterprise a shudder because she knew he meant what he said.
"As long as you understand the consequences of your actions, Commander. I have no other opinion to say." Enterprise pulled her cap down and sighed as she felt the
Adam gave her a hum before disengaging his armor which returned his outfit to his combat suit as he returned to his room to change back to his uniform in preparation to greet the new guest.
"By the way, Commander. Can I take a look at your rifle?" Enterprise is a little curious about the weapon Adam was using and wondered if she can replace her bow with a gun similar to this which would be more practical in battle than a bow.
Adam didn't even entertain the thought of lending a dangerous weapon like that to Enterprise and instead took out a spare one for her.
"You can take this one." Adam said and gave her the weapon before sending her off on her merry way to the shooting range to test the sniper rifle while he went to change his clothes.
Enterprise is surprised that he gave her one and he has a spare gun that he can pull out of thin air. But she made no comment of those and instead simply thanked him and went to try the gun out before asking Adam if he can help her recalibrates her Wisdom Cube to replace her bow with this rifle gifted to her by Adam.
