Insurance Money

My husband and I have been married for more than 10 days, and today is my birthday. My husband back from work as usual, but today he came with a beautiful cake. I suddenly smiled and run forward greeting him helping to pick up the bag and the cake.

"I almost think you forgot my birthday, baby"

I spoke to him with smiling, immediately he sat down on the sofa reaching his arm grab my waist into a hug.

"Baby, I love you so much and you already know that. How can I forget your birthday?"

"Go take a shower, you are very stinky.

"Ok, My love"

After I said, he got up to change his clothes taking a shower. And for me, I went to the kitchen prepare for dinner because now it time to eat.

I took a bowl of rice and put it on a table, I saw my husband is preparing the cake. While watching him from distance I could see how he is very paying attention on preparing it.

"Happy Birthday To You"

He sang a birthday song to me. I felt so special and it was unforgettable even it's just a simple Birthday party that have only two of us.

"Please blow the candle, Honey"

He smiled with soft eyes looking at me.

"Ahh.."

I was about to blow but there was a cat jump out from nowhere I don't know and hit my cake fell off.

"Where is this cat come from?"

I became so angry, a year have only one day for my birthday but it was destroyed by a cat. It made me very angry.

"Don't be mad, baby. Tomorrow I will buy a new one"

He tried to comfort me but I slowly nodded in response that was not necessary anymore.

What happened that night has passed; in the morning my husband had to go to work he never forgot to kiss me before he left.

"Baby, I am leaving for work...ohh... baby you don't need to worry about that cat last night. The cat can not show up here again."

Since his words was a little bit strange but I did not notice much.

In the evening of the same day, my neighbor came and knocked the door louder and louder, and I became so aggressive.

"What's wrong?"

I asked her but her face looked like she was finding something. Then she asked.

"Did you see my cat?"

Hearing she asked me like this, I immediately remember the cat who destroyed my special day last night.

"The cat came here last night but this morning I did not see"

She nodded her head slightly as if she wants to cry and then say good bye to me. So I went back to watching T.V without caring about it.

Many hours later, it's time my husband come back from work. After we talked a lot of different topic, I still remember about the cat.

"Well, baby do you see that cat today?"

"The owner of the cat who living next to us came to ask me"

"What did you tell her?''

"I said I don't know but... you told me that I don't need to worry about that cat to show up.. what do you mean by that?"

The next day, that lady came to my house and asking about her cat again. It was so annoying which caused me could not sleep peacefully.

"I already told you.. I don't see your cat!"

" But someone told me that your husband took my cat, let me talk to him"

"My husband? Why he needs to take your cat?... all right...When he is home, I will tell him to meet you"

She went back home with slowly moving.

After my husband arrived, I was so curious about the story of that cat because I was so bored with the noise of knocking the door every day. Anyway, my husband still denied he did not know anything. He told me no need to worry about it and let him talk clearly to the owner of the cat by tomorrow to stop bothering me.

From that day no more knocking on the door, no one asking about that cat anymore. This may be because of my husband had talked to her clearly or may be the cat owner had found her cat. Whatever, I was happy because I can relax peacefully.

"Baby, that closed room was left since previous owner, right?"

I asked my husband while he was wearing his uniform going to work.

"Do you have the Key? I want to clean it"

"I think we don't need to use that room. It is good to keep old things, however we about to move for new house, isn't it?"

"What do you want to eat today? I will buy the ingredients for you"

"Soup?"

"Ok!"

In my curiosity I cannot stop like this. After he left my sight, I took a set of keys from the desk drawer, hoping one of the keys can open the room. The longer I stand to opening the room, the more I smell something weird coming out from that room small, bringing my curiosity even more intense. Unluckily, there was no one key could open the room. I wasted almost a day trying to unlocked. It was so useless.

A moment later, the doorbell rang, I looked at the clocked strangely.

"This is not yet the time for my husband come back home. Who is it? Don't tell me it is her again!"

With no doubt, I washed my hand and went to open the door.

"We are the police. I want you to cooperate with us"

Just heard the word police, my body started sweating from head to toes.

"Anything wrong, Mr. Police?"

"Someone reported to us because the lady who lived next door has been missing for several days."

The police showed me the picture. After I saw the picture, I was socked by it.

"it is the lady who keep asking me about her lost cat!"

I told the police all about everything I know without skipping any senses from start until the last time I saw her. After the police finished recording, one of them asked me where is the bathroom, I allowed him to use the bathroom which was in my room. it's because if he went to the bathroom at the back of my house he would have to walk through the locked room. I worry about the bad smell so I tried to avoid. After they left, I locked the door, sat down watching TV with restless mind.

a few day later, my husband was arrested by the police under suspicion of the lady disappearance. I was so worried about him I got up early in the morning to see him at the police station.

"baby, Are you okay?"

"I didn't do anything wrong they have no evidence; they can't force me here.

"I will help you legally, don't worry, baby"

I tried to calm him down then I walked out of greeting room into the witness room. The police asked me many questions.

"Thank you for coming here as a witness"

"it is my responsibility. I definitely don't want to see the murder still live freely....Ohh... I have cooked a pot of soup for you and your team"

I handed over the hot soup I was holding to them. they smiled to me before eating. They looked like never have anything to eat for years. I watched them eating and it was so disgusting but I tried to hide my reaction.

When I got home, I went to my room open the safety box take out a key. It was a key to open that small room. I knew it was there since beginning haha...just opened the door, I immediately recognized the smell. Hmm...The cat corpse has just died a few days ago, why does it smell too fast? Even I injected medicine to save the body once already. Seriously!!

"Monster...You're a monster!"

I just peel the tape out of her mouth, she cured me immediately. She stared at me with her eyes full of anger as if wanting to eat me in the moment.

"Who is the real monster? What do you want? Want to eat worms from your beloved cat? Hahah"

"It's you force me to do it!"

"There is no true love in this world! Everyone are priceless"

"Release me!"

She tried to crawl and I saw her broken leg that was cut to her knee.

"Oh...How do you feel? Feeling good with this cute cut? I don't know why, you are wrinkled and too old but your leg still has the good taste to making soup for the police, they also praised my soup...haha"

I clap, laugh and whistle because it was so fun that I never thought about it.. don't you think so ? hahah

"You are a monster!! Dare you go to the police station?!"

"What? Why can't get there? Because I went as a witness to sue my husband.. Your are unlucky one this because you know too much! Too much until I can't let you alive!!"

"Release me, I promise not to say anything...."

"Including my ex-husband? Ohh..That's right....stay in this room for too long I haven't introduce you something special yet"

I walked into the bathroom and grabbed a skeleton come out.

"Ahhhhhhhhh..."

She screamed out loud almost making my heart attacked. Damn!!

"This is my first husband who you used to crush on, why are you scared now?

"This girl is Crazy!!"

"If I'm crazy, I won't have two husbands"

I quickly dragged one more skeleton come out from the darkness. Amazing!! The Skeletons look the same but I still recognized.

You brought a cat just to catch my husband attention and tried to tell him about my story. Sadly, every time you knocked the door there always me who opened it. This is a good time for both of you be together forever. Hahah..."

"Please Stop!! How many people you want to kill?"

"Insurance money is too little...Huh"

"Ohh...the police arrived on time, just wait for a minute"

I stopped arguing and picked up the tape to cover her month. When I was done, I pretend to be sad and walked out to meet the police.

"Ohh...Mr.Police?"

I was stunned.

"I'm so sorry to tell you, your husband has just passed away in the prison"
