Strange door

Mounting the raised platform, Kadori stood in front of the mechanical robot.

Clenching his fist, he swiftly punched towards the mechanical robot's chest.

BAM!

A loud banging sound reverberated throughout the area as Kadori's fist connected with the robot.

The numbers began to climb and climb until they finally stopped.

"35?" Kadori mused in disappointment after catching a glimpse of the low number.

He had hoped for something a little higher, considering he was already a bit strong before acquiring the system.

But after seeing just how low the number was, he realized he wasn't as strong as he thought.

After successfully testing his strength, it was now time for Kadori to use his Chaos technique.

'How am I supposed to test my skills when they are all locked?' Kadori pondered.

Since all his active and passive skills were locked, there was no way for him to use them.

Thinking about it, Kadori wondered if it was wise to showcase his abilities to everyone.

Kadori had never seen any Chaos Energy user employ a technique like Energy Claws, or a skill that healed them up as long as they landed a hit on their opponent.

He also had never seen anyone who could absorb and summon dead beasts for their own use.

The few Heroic and Diamond-ranked users were able to tame beasts and control them for their use, but Kadori had never witnessed a case where someone could summon a beast they had slain in the past.

Kadori couldn't help but think that the System wasn't ordinary.

It seemed different from everything he had seen before.

"I guess I'll just leave with 35 points," Kadori stated, leaving the platform and rejoining his roommates.

The students glanced at Kadori as he left the platform without using his technique.

Most students quickly realized Kadori was only a Bronze 2 and began to mock him from the crowd.

"You did well," Yukiko said, patting Kadori's shoulder, but her hand was knocked off by Kadori.

"I don't need your fake comments or pity," Kadori replied, causing Yukiko's expression to change to surprise.

The test continued, with Geralt confidently mounting the platform.

With a swift punch, the number on the screen rose to '75'.

'Now, what technique should I use?' Geralt pondered, rubbing his chin.

Geralt lifted his right hand and placed a single finger on his forehead.

"Chaos technique, Dismantle!"

Saying those words, the robot's body parts began to split and scatter into pieces.

Most students had their mouths wide open after witnessing the scene that played out in front of them, while most higher-ranked students stood there calmly, as it wasn't a new thing for them.

Since the scores were recorded automatically, Geralt's score was already saved in the Terminator's register.

Geralt stepped down from the stage after a Terminator staff member came to shake his hand, clearly impressed by the display of power.

"Did you guys see that?" Geralt said, his eyes widened in excitement. "Even the staff were impressed."

"Good for you," Kadori replied, unbothered by what had happened.

After the whole test was over, the students were free to do as they pleased while the staff worked on their results.

Most students chose to return to their dorms to rest after such a long, tiring day.

Some opted to explore the Terminator's base and see the fascinating things that filled it.

Among these students was Geralt.

"Hey, what do you guys plan on doing now?" Geralt asked with anticipation.

"I'm about to head back to the dormitory to rest. It's been a long day," Yukiko replied, yawning from tiredness.

"What about you, Kadori?" Geralt shifted his gaze to Kadori. "I plan on exploring this base. Wanna join?"

Kadori's initial plan was to return to the dorm room with Yukiko to ask a few questions concerning the System.

However, exploring the base also sounded intriguing. Who knew what he could learn from it?

"Sure, why not," Kadori responded, walking off with Geralt.

The duo walked through the Terminator's base with widened eyes and their mouths agape.

The base looked more like a whole new city.

There were convenient stores that opened 24 hours a day, shops that crafted beast weapons, and a gaming center for RPG games.

Kadori made sure to memorize the location of the crafter's shop and the RPG gaming area.

Since the last crafter he met had scammed him out of his Energy Zen and sent him to his death, he planned on using the Grandmaster's Zen he obtained while hunting to create a weapon.

Additionally, the RPG gaming center might be a good place to practice his hand-to-hand fighting skills and skills that didn't require any technique.

In case anything like this should happen in the future where he would be unable to use his active skills, he could always rely on his hand-to-hand combat.

"Hey, bro, check this place out," Geralt whispered, pointing towards a certain dark area.

Kadori shifted his gaze towards the area Geralt was pointing to.

All he saw was a huge red door with a sign up front that read "NO GO AREA!"

"Uh... I don't think it's a good idea, Geralt. The sign clearly states, 'No Go Area'," Kadori stated as he watched Geralt walk towards the door.

"Relax, I am only trying to take a quick peek, that's all," Geralt replied, trying to push the door open, but it was locked.

"This door is powered by high-grade Energy Zen, there's no way anyone could open it. What could be in there that they would be guarding it so fiercely?" Geralt uttered, examining the door.

Kadori moved closer to the door after hearing Geralt's words.

"Whatever it is, it has to be powerful if they don't want it out or anyone going in," Kadori remarked, lifting up his hand and placing it on the door to feel the energy passing through it.

Once Kadori's hand touched the door, a loud rumbling sound could be heard, and the door began to shift open.

"Whoa, dude, how did you do that?" Geralt inquired with a surprised expression as he watched the door shift open.

Kadori, on the other hand, had no idea how it opened when he touched it.

"I think we should inform the staff before something jumps out and attacks us," Kadori voiced.

"Dude, we can't just leave," Geralt replied, placing his arm around Kadori's shoulder. "If whatever is inside is so powerful, then imagine the reward we get once we defeat it. Imagine the amount of money we'd get if we kill the beast that might be inside."

Hearing Geralt's words made Kadori reconsider going back.

If there truly was a beast inside, then once he killed it, he might receive valuable rewards.

Even if he wouldn't be able to use the rewards while serving his punishment, he could always save them for later.

Since Geralt was a Diamond 1 rank, Kadori had hope of surviving and also gaining points.

Kadori was weak at the moment, all he had to do was let Geralt injure the beast badly while he only took the last hit to claim the rewards.

"What are we waiting for?" Kadori finally spoke up.
