A set up!

Kadori stepped out of his room after freshening up. The sun was still shining bright as usual.

'Could this get any worse?' Kadori lamented, lifting up his arm to block the rays as he headed to the crafter.

During his tour with Yukiko, she showed him the shop where the crafter turns a beast energy Zen into weapons.

Kadori made sure to memorize how to get there just because of situations like this.

It only took him a few minutes of trekking before he arrived at the small wooden shop.

Even from where Kadori stood, he could hear a loud clanging sound coming from inside the shop, meaning someone was busy working inside.

Kadori pushed the wooden door open and walked in slowly.

Entering inside, Kadori had his mouth wide open after catching a glimpse of what the inside looked like. The shop was dimly lit with candles hanging on the wall here and there.

The candles weren't the only things hanging on the wall; different sets of weapons were stationed on different parts of the wall.

There were different types of blades, axes, bows and arrows, knives, and so on. The weapons didn't look like the regular everyday weapons.

Some of them had glowing words that no one understood written on them.

There were different carvings and drawings around the weapons that could not be seen on regular weapons.

Kadori quickly guessed that the weapons in here were above Grandmaster's ranks and might even be a Knight type or god type weapon.

"What do you want, lad?"

Kadori was lost while examining the weapons and didn't notice the man standing behind the counter.

After hearing the man's words, Kadori quickly shifted his gaze to the person.

All he saw was a bald-headed skinny man with huge black goggles above his eyes.

"Good day," Kadori greeted, approaching the counter and placing the energy Zen on the counter. "I wish to turn this into a weapon," Kadori informed.

The skinny man picked up the energy Zen and moved it closer to his eyes to examine it well.

"A Rabid claws energy Zen, correct?" The man asked, inspecting the energy Zen.

Kadori was surprised by how the man could tell the exact beast that produced the energy Zen, but quickly concluded that the man might have been in the business for years and has seen thousands of the same energy Zen.

"Yes, a Masters ranked one," Kadori replied. "Can you craft a weapon out of it?"

"Why not?" The man asked back, placing the energy Zen back on the counter and folding his arms. "The energy Zen can be crafted into a blade or chest piece armor. Which one do you want?"

Getting a chest piece armor meant Kadori was ready to be on the defensive side, since a chest piece armor was meant to protect the chest. Kadori wasn't ready to be on the defensive side; he has always wanted to be on the aggressive side, making his enemy beg for mercy.

And getting a blade would guarantee that.

"A blade," Kadori replied.

"That would cost you 100 Tokens," the crafter replied.

"What is a token exactly?" Kadori asked with a confused expression.

"I guess you must be a newbie on planet Edom, eh? Token is what we use as a medium of exchange here. Me charging you 100 tokens is a fair deal," the skinny crafter explained.

"But I don't have any tokens," Kadori uttered, slightly pissed off by the man's demand.

"Were you planning on crafting a blade for free?" The man asked with raised eyebrows. "Okay, since you don't have 100 tokens, give me 20 basic beast energy Zen. That still equals 100 tokens."

"The only energy Zen I have right now is this one," Kadori replied.

"Well, go hunting. Cross the boundary and go hunt for 20 basic beasts," The Skinny man declared.

Yukiko did inform Kadori during the hunt about a boundary that divides the humans territory from the monsters territory.

The only people who were allowed to pass through the boundary were the Terminators and just regular hunters who were hunting to feed their families.

"Alright, how do I get to the boundary?" Kadori asked with a determined look.

The man quickly bent down and brought out a small compass, "This would take you there. Remember to head south, that's the territory for basic tier beasts. And take this also, it's a ticket to pass through the boundary."

Kadori retrieved the compass and ticket from the man and stormed out of the shop.

'I hope you don't come back so I can have this Zen all to myself,' The man mused with an evil smirk, glancing at the energy Zen Kadori left behind.

'Why am I even praying? There's no way he's coming back alive since I led him right into the territory of Grandmaster's beasts, hehe,' The crafter slipped the energy Zen inside his pocket greedily then continued with his work.

Following the compass, Kadori traversed through strange roads and streets, until he finally arrived at the boundary.

The boundary was just like the walls back in his village, just that this one seemed to be made out of glowing glass.

Kadori approached the boundary after spotting a lady standing close to it.The girl looked around Kadori's age.

Long silver hair, a nice body shape with two huge melons on her chest.

"Excuse me!" Kadori called out. "I wish to go through the boundary."

The girl glanced at Kadori from head to toe before speaking, "Ticket?"

Kadori slid his hand into his pocket and brought out the small piece of paper given to him by the crafter.

The girl collected the ticket and examined it to see if it was authentic.

After examining the ticket, she proceeded to push a small red button on a certain part of the boundary.

Pushing the button, what looked like a blue portal began to form right in front of Kadori.

"Good luck!" The girl said after the portal was fully powered up.

Kadori took a few steps forward as he approached the portal.

"Here we go." Saying those words, Kadori entered the portal and vanished from the location.
