Dr. Stephen Strange 2

Stephen Strange soon took Jack to the various places he would have to go in the next few weeks at Kamar-Taj, after which Stephen took Jack to the room he would be staying at Kamar-Taj.

Jack unpack his things and soon realized that Stephen still hadn't left his room and was waiting for Jack to unpack his things.

"My name is Stephen Strange, I am the current guardian of the New York Sanctum, I'm sorry I lied to you, but one of my duties is to hide the existence of magic from the world," Stephen said.

"Nice to meet you, Stephen Strange, I understand you were just doing your job, I should have come directly to Kamar-Taj but I thought the New York Sanctum was closer," Jack said smiling.

"You said when you saw me that you wanted to learn magic from me and the Ancient One, I felt like you knew me," asked Strange curiously.

Jack was surprised to see this, he knew Doctor Strange was smart but he didn't think he would be as observant as well, but Jack didn't know if he could tell Doctor Strange that they knew a lot of things.

"I said I wanted to learn magic from you because, in the book I read, it said there was a guardian in the New York Sanctum who was a great wizard, I thought it might be you," Jack explained.

"But you were right, I really knew you, I saw some medical magazines that showed some of your achievements as a doctor, it seems that you were a great doctor because of magic."

"I'll take that as a compliment, but I didn't know magic when I was a doctor, I had a car accident and had irreversible damage to my hands, after that, I came to Kamar-Taj and became a mage."

"I see, I also hope that soon I can learn magic like you at Kamar-Taj, it's hard to protect New York with my current strength." Said Jack so he could talk more with Doctor Strange.

"Protect New York? I heard the Ancient One saying that she knew you from being close to Spider Man, could it be that you are one of the heroes like Spider Man and Iron Man?" Stephen asked curiously.

"I guess you could say yes, but Spider Man and Iron Man are much stronger than me, so I wanted to come to Kamar-Taj to learn magic," Jack said.

"Usually people who learn magic here at Kamar-Taj stay at Kamar-Taj or they have to forget what they learned, but since Vishanti asked the Ancient One to teach you, I think that soon the world will know more about magic," Stephen said.

"I hope so, New York is very dangerous, there's me and Spider Man, there's the Fantastic Four, Daredevil, The Punisher, and even you protecting the New York Sanctum, but I still can't rest with so many bad guys and villains I face."

"Furthermore, I have a hunch that soon New York and Earth will face even greater dangers, so I decided to come and learn magic." Said Jack revealing a bit of the truth to Doctor Strange.

Stephen was surprised to hear that and thought that Jack was right about what he said, after all, New York had too many bandits and villains for a city, and if really bigger threats appeared, they could harm the whole Earth after destroying New York.

Jack chatted for a while longer with Stephen, Jack asked for advice on magic and praised him a few times knowing how Stephen was normally arrogant.

Over the next few days Jack spent all of his time studying the various books Stephen had recommended, Jack was happy to see that he needed to see something a few times before committing what he saw to memory.

Jack didn't have an Eidetic Memory as Stephen Strange did, but having a good memory was enough to learn the various spells for him to learn how to use magic better and also learn spells to use in the future.

Stephen had returned to New York because he was the guardian and needed to protect the Sanctum, so after studying Jack he always looked for Wong to talk to, after all, Jack liked his character in the movies.

Jack also knew that he had to avoid getting too close to Karl Mordo, and just as Jack expected, Wong was a lot of fun to talk to and also had a lot of knowledge about magic, so Jack had fun and learned a lot from Wong.

After spending two weeks at Kamar-Taj, Jack felt that his body was much better, after all this was the first time that Jack had gone so long without physical training after coming to the Marvel universe.

Jack also learned most of the things that Stephen and Wong had recommended for him as the basics of magic, and even some more advanced magic stuff.

In addition to learning from books, Jack also learned to meditate and managed after a few attempts to enter the Astral Dimension, this was his Astral Projection that Jack achieved after separating his astral body from his physical body.

Jack had also received a Sling Ring, but was patient and didn't try to do anything until Wong or the Ancient One told him to.

The Ancient One was watching Jack studying and training these two weeks and was very surprised, she expected Jack to be talented, after all, it was the Vishanti who asked her to train him.

But she didn't expect Jack to be so dedicated to studying and also accept the mystic arts so well, the Ancient One knew that Jack's talent for magic was much less than Stephen Strange, but he was learning magic faster than Stephen.

So she thought that Jack was already ready to do the fighting training and the training to do basic magic and the portal, she was anxious to know how fast Jack could learn.

Wong went to Jack to start teaching him to fight training, after all, Wong had become friends with Jack in these last few weeks, but Mordo soon appeared to stop that.

"I'm going to do fight training with him Wong, you've befriended him and won't teach him properly, besides, I'm better than you in battle," Mordo said preventing Wong from starting to teach Jack.
